Established in 1961, this traditional and authentic Cantonese restaurant in Blackpool town centre has been extending a warm oriental welcome to customers for 64 years!

Choose from a mouth-watering selection of delicious dishes including Mrs Wan’s dumplings, made from her own recipe, Szechuan chilli beef, Nasi Goreng and oriental fruit salad with lychee. We are very proud that every dish and every sauce is made in house, because we care about our food.


The belief that every meal shared should be special is why this restaurant takes time to carefully select and prepare the freshest Chinese dishes, adding just three extra ingredients - quality, experience and time.

Our core belief is that we are a local restaurant, open year round for local residents and visitors to the resort alike. We"ve worked for many years with our local suppliers to continue to bring you the best experience of Chinese food in Blackpool.

    10/10 on absolutely everything! Food, service and atmosphere all perfect. I have been telling my partner and my mum about this place for years and hyping it up and it absolutely delivered as they loved it as much as I told them they would!

    We visited Michael Wans Mandarin on Saturday 3rd May, this was our first time and not the last. The food was delicious and the service brilliant. I got the time wrong on our booking and was over half an hour late, but the kept the table for us. Booking again for next time we come to Blackpool in September.

    The staff are superb all are very friendly professional & efficient. Our table was in the window to celebrate a birthday which was a nice touch too! Our food was simply delicious all freshly made with lovely ingredients care was taken over presentation and the portion sizes were perfect we ate everything 👍 Thank you we will return 😊

    The best Chinese food in Blackpool. Extensive menu and wine list. Staff are so lovely and attentive. Couldn't fault it. My first visit was 55 years ago!

    Lovely friendly atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Food was excellent. Definitely worth a visit and we’ve already booked for another visit. Booking a table is a must. Always fully booked.

    Our first experience at this restaurant and we will definitely be returning on our next visit to Blackpool. Excellent food and wine, we had the Mandarin platter for two people. The staff were so friendly and attentive. The restaurant was kept immaculately clean and had a really good atmosphere with a very comfortable table to dine at. Top marks from a couple who do not eat Cantonese food very often.
