   Michael MIna has a tradition of fine dining experiences in my experience and some of the flavors and disches continue to be sublime. I have dined at the Michael Mina restaurant in San Franscisco since its days as Aqua abd well before he opened Michael Mina's at the Belaggio in Las Vegas. I was both surprised and dissapointed to see that the a la carte menu no longer exigts. Instead, they ofered a multi-course menu with little room for substitution. They also offered 2 wine parings. The service was shockingly poor; it was slow and improved ONLY after leaving the tale, identifying the manager, and pointing out that we had waited for more than 35 minutes (he did check this and seemed distrubed that I had not waited longer - oh really?). To me this is unacceptable at a restaurant with a history of quality and service as outstanding as MIchael Mina's in San Francisco. Based on this I advise proceeding with caution, expect long wait times to be served, and limited menu options. On the positive side, the quality of the food varied from excelletn to outstanding and the wine pairings were spot on.

   We had a terrific time. The service and food were excellent. We had the classic wine pairing and were not disappointed. I would do it again the next time I am in San Francisco. His food is always innovative and delicious!

   Friendly attentive service. We had the tasting lunch menu. Every course was delicious. Wine list selection was excellent. Will visit again if in San Fran again in future.

   Thanks for making our anniversary dinner so special. First, the bartender who hand stuffed blue cheese into olives for my husband’s martini. Next, the lovely anniversary card on our table. And, all of the amazing dishes and wines that followed in the tasting menu. Our servers that night could not have been better.

   There was no doubt that Michael Mina - SF is deserving of their Michelin Star. The food and service exceeded our expectations. Their wine list is superb and I would recommend the 2012 Altagracia Red which is on the lower end of the price list but extremely good. The overall price is not for the faint of heart but in this case you get what you pay for. This was a 5 star experience.

   Bring your wallet, because your are going to need it for this place....It is a "must do" at least once in your life time. Their tasting menu is incredible! Eating here is a life changing experience. If you have the money, you have to try Michael Mina!

   The service was impeccable and the food was incredible, well beyond our expectations. I'm surprised this place only has a single Michelin Star. I've eaten in some of the best restaurants in the world and this one just slid its way into my top 10 fine dining experiences. If you're looking for high-end on short notice, you might be interested to know that you're still able to get same-day or next-day reservations here. For now.
