My wife and I chose Mi Vida for our anniversary and it was the best dining experience we’ve had in several years. Every bite was great, every sip of our cocktails delicious. Great service and a wonderful space to enjoy the entire experience. 5 stars!
Compared to my prior visits here the food was lackluster this time.
The waiter was awesome at explaining the menu . Everything we ordered was amazing
I loved the scenic views on the top floor. The decor was nice as well in the restaurant. I always like a server that gives their opinion on food and drinks. It really makes a difference when you don’t know what to choose.
We ordered the nachos, enchiladas and carne tacos. All of which were delicious. They even gave us a free dessert because of cold food. That was thoughtful to make up for the food. The second plate came out very hot.
Would definitely come back!
The brunch experience is definitely worth it. Best French toast I’ve ever had. Great food and ambience, I’ll return soon!
Nice bit too expensive
I asked for an outdoor table because that felt safest. They seated us on their "balcony," which was totally sealed up in plastic sheeting, so functionally this was an indoor table. I was disappointed in this, having made the trouble to make a reservation for an outdoor table a week in advance. In addition, they informed us when we arrived that there was a 2-hour time limit, but I don't recall this information being conveyed when I made the reservation. A manager asked us to leave after the 2-hour limit had expired. This was really annoying because we spent a lot of money at this place - it is quite expensive. I did not appreciate the time limit - had I known about it, I would have found somewhere else to eat. Nothing worse than being rushed and hustled out the door when you're trying to enjoy a nice meal out with friends on a Friday night. Other than that, food was excellent and our waiter was very good.
Great Experience! I enjoyed the food. The restaurant have beautiful view towards the river, great location in the Wharf, very close to downtown.
Perfect sunny Sunday late lunch. gorgeous water views, scrumptious cocktails, satisfying meal.
It was wonderful! Service and food were the best. The scenery was energetic. I’ve been coming to Mi Vida for almost two years, and each time I dine hear it is a great memory. Will continue to coming to Mi Vida in the future!
Too expensive. Have a 20% tip for all tables included. 2 hour time limit for tables. Small menu and overpriced everything
Amazing extraordinary food and service. We really enjoyed everything we ordered.
Very beautiful interior and patio view. The food was amazing! Looking forward to coming back. I had the salmon and plantains.
Had a great view for Valentines Day!
Valentine’s Day
Went for valentines day and had a great experience. Our waiter was so nice and provided great service. Food was really good! I recommend the queso fundido and churros! I sat on the heated balcony which had a great view of the wharf which was a plus!
Excellent service and food! Restaurant had in place great COVID protocols - it felt very safe and clean to eat there.
I went for Valentine's Day and I enjoyed the food very much. Our waiter Orlando was extremely helpful in helping us to choose the perfect meal. The empanadas were incredible as was the shank steak!
great food, great service!
Our waiter knew the birthday girl was gluten free, and brought a special birthday dessert that she could eat, instead of the usual one.
It’s was amazing food was great
Gratuity is included so expect average service. They won’t wow you, you’ll get just the basics.
We will come back when the weathers warm so we can sit outside.
Great Dinner. One thing to keep in mind is the city's Covid ordinances. We were seated at 9:30 and told it was last call. We are not from DC so we didn't know this. Seems like they probably shouldn't seat people past 9PM if you have to finish a drink by 9:40.
Amazing Mexican food! The menu and flavors are as authentic as it can get for DC. The guacamole was delicious, and all the food was very well seasoned. Drink menu was also diverse and fun. Highly recommend.
We went here to celebrate our engagement. The server was amicable but did not take to time to explain anything to us. We had never visited the restaurant before and it would haven been nice to be given the opportunity to ask questions about menu items. We were reminded about the time limit and rushed to make a decision on all food items at one time. It was an okay experience but nothing very special for our special day.
Buen lugar para comer comida mexicana
Great food and a great vibe. The top story had a great view of the waterfront
We had a fantastic time at Mi Vida. Our server Josh was extremely knowledge about the menu and had a upbeat, positive attitude throughout dinner. The food came out promptly as well since we did the tasting that they had. Though we were late they sat us right away and we sat indoors which was preferred. I would definitely return to enjoy some drinks, food and atmosphere.
The food and setting was phenomenal on a Saturday afternoon. We sat outside and were kept warm and well socially distracted. Our waiter Oscar was the best!
Absolutely delicious food. Staff is always kind and helpful. You definitely get what you pay for.
Great experience. Sat outside near heater and felt very warm and safe. Service end food were excellent. Will definitely return.
The atmosphere at Mi Vida is what sets it apart from simply good food and service. It’s the perfect date night or friends get-together spot. It’s lively and upbeat, but you won’t be screaming to make conversation amongst your table.
Great place on the wharf. Excellent cuisine and drinks!
Will not disappoint . Great food . Great Drinks. Good people.
Great food and service. We particularly enjoyed the zarape de pato as an appetizer and the buena vida margarita.
The low markings were due to the outside dining experience. It was not good. It was too cold to get comfortable and where I was seated I was getting wet from the rain.
Truly enjoyable break from pandemic closeting. Can't say enough about Mi Vida from start to finish.
Date night was amazing. We sat on the upstairs patio and it was fabulous. We felt comfortable with the atmosphere and safety measures. The guac was amazing. Our server was incredible. Overall, great experience and meal.
My sister and I went to Mi Vida for a Christmas Eve brunch and had a blast the food was amazing we have a few of the deviled eggs, the french toast and ham it was so tasty! The service was great we were greeted by a very nice host at the door and our waitress was extremely attentive. All safety protocols were observed. They made our rainy Christmas eve a lot of fun!
The food and service were great! The drinks are definitely overpriced and not well made!
