The food is good, and the service is excellent. However, the ambiance of the restaurant could use improvement. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner there, and my favorite dish was the lamb chops.

Expensive! Was there for lunch with 1 other person. No alcohol, just 2 ice teas, appetizer, and 2 lunch items. Bill was well over $130. Fish of the day was $58, really, for lunch? Just came with a couple of potatoes and some veggies. Food was a little salty for our taste. Portions were just okay but like I said, expensive for what you get. No bread for the table, no salad…. Service was good, seeing how there were only 2 other tables there for lunch. That should have been an indication.

I had a reservation for outdoor seating. When I arrived 10 minutes in advance of my reserved time, I was told an outdoor table would not be available and that outdoor seating was “first come, first served.” The hostess’ attitude was rude and not apologetic. I don’t understand offering it as a reservable option if this is the policy.

Food was ok, service was ok, place was pretty empty for a Saturday night. Gave the place a try but don’t think that we will be going back anytime soon.

This was our first experience at this restaurant. We have attended other Greek restaurants in the past, and this one compared very favorably to others. Our meal was prepared perfectly portions were a little on a large size, but my wife ordered their special fish of the day Bronzino and it was absolutely mouthwatering

We enjoyed the fried calamari & wedge salads for appetizers. As for two of our entrees--the salmon and also the kebabs were overcooked. The rest of the entrees were great.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Absolutely Outstanding! Meze Mediterranean Restaurant in Schaumburg is a true hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and welcoming staff made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious—authentic flavors, beautifully presented, and made with care. The hummus, lamb chops, and Shrimp were some of the best we’ve ever had. Every dish was bursting with fresh ingredients and Mediterranean flair. Service was attentive and friendly, and the entire experience was top-notch from start to finish. We’ll definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommend!

Second time and absolutely delicious!!! Went to Italy last summer 2024 & this is as close to authentic dishes we had abroad! Grilled octopus is the best as well as halibut. Healthy, healthy, healthy!!! Drinks are delightful! Can’t wait to try something new. Enjoy!!!

The restaurant was practically empty, which is fine as it was a long weekend and people usually have get togethers at home! We went there as we had a great experience in the past and the food was very good! This was a very disappointing visit. The server had nothing to do yet took a very long time to come. He seemed very disinterested in making us feel welcome. We ordered ice tea as our dinner was delivered and he never got it! We finished the dinner and we called and told him, "we don't need the ice tea as our dinner is over" and all he said was "oh yeah I forgot!". He did not try to say anything to make it right!. He brought the check and we waited for ten minutes for him to come grab it, ultimately we went looking for him and he was sitting with two other staff members nicely chatting. We called and gave him the credit card to be charged. Again, no need to say sorry! We are forced to wonder, how would the service be if this place was crowded! We were literally the second to last party to leave the restaurant and it was just 8:00PM. I wish good luck to the management with such mediocre service that too in a suburb like Schaumburg where all restaurants as always buzzing...specially ones with a good ambience like MEZE. I would also suggest they include some more popular mediterranean dishes like falafel!
