The restaurant that is now Meze Estiatorio has been long in the making. It all began in the beautifully secluded village of Hrisohorafa, on the eastern bank of Lake Kerkini, Macedonia, Greece. What was eaten every day was a family tradition, passed down by word of mouth and grown (or living) on your land. Fast forward 4 generations and here we are, Worcester natives serving what we know so well; authentic, unadulterated Greek food. Kali Orexi!

We had a great experience. Had the meze platter, fried zucchini, octopus salad, chicken slouvaki, and the chocolate mousse cake. Everything was delicious but the cake was a bit sweet.

We arrived a little early for our 7:30 reservation and ended up sitting at the bar and eating there. After getting drinks and placing our food order we waited approximately 45 minutes at which time I inquired when we might expect our salad. The bartender apologized and said they were overbooked. I have no idea what that has to do with a delay in getting food since we were already seated. I suspect he never put in the food order since he was busy and the place was full. He was the only bartender for the whole bar as well as tending the service bar and getting for for those seated at the bar. It took over an hour to get our meals and while the food was very good I would not go through that experience again. Perhaps if we were at a table and had a waitress the service would have been better.

We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food, flavor, and fast from the kitchen service. Certainly will come back here again which is something I wish I could say more often. It’s nice to have a local place like Meze that we can share with friends and family. ...and best medium rare lamb chops ...ever!

I love Greek food and although this restaurant is well received, I was not impressed. Just not the same as my go to place for Greek food. Probably will not return.

I've been here before but finally convinced my BF to try it. He's picky and was a bit reluctant but he ended up loving everything! The food was amazing, service was great. We loved the Meze plate as we could pick the dips we each liked. The Calamari was really good- fresh, crispy and flavorful even without the feta marinara sauce. Our entrees came out fairly quickly and did not disappoint. Being Valentine's weekend we expected a bit of a wait from the kitchen but we were pleasantly surprised. Also the live singer in the corner by the bar was a nice touch. We'll be back soon!
