Mexican Connection Restaurante y Tequilera has been serving home made Mexican and Southwestern cuisine for over 30 years. It all started when Marilyn Farrell bought a little pizza place on Court Street in downtown Saratoga and started selling tacos out of it. A true pioneer, Marilyn was the first to bring Mexican cuisine to the Capital region in 1979. As business grew, she moved the restaurant to it's current location on Nelson Avenue. After working for Marilyn for several years, Jason Friedman purchased the restaurant from her in 2002. Joe Parisi purchased the restaurant from him in July 2014. All food is made-to-order on premises, providing the freshest and best tasting food possible. We have a committed and caring staff dedicated to serving your needs. There is a total of over 80 years of experience at the Mexican Connection between our five longest tenured employees. What an amazing testament to their dedication and service! Normally the food here is great, and this is our 1st Choice for Mexican food. Something was off this might, food came out cold, the steak was tough and grizzly.

Always excellent food and service! My personal fave is the ground burger nachos with spicy sour cream. Just for the record, their spicy sour cream is perfect for everything on the menu. Been eating here on the regular for five years now, consistently Amazing! Go to tha Mex and have a good time!

This a great place... food is usually very good, margaritas are tasty, and the staff is very friendly. This last visit was a very busy night and the soft taco shells were a bit dry when they came out, but I can cut them some slack because of the size of the crowd. Our server was great and we will return!

Mexican Connection continues to be a favorite of race trackers. It’s still where the starters and gate crew and assistant trainers hang out. If you want to overhear the insiders, this is still the place to go. The bartenders though are not the professionals they used to be. A margarita not shaken? Noooo. And here is.a place that specializes in margaritas but no longer stocks Cabo Wabo or most of the other better labels. Another nooo. The food is merely workmanlike, now that the brilliant Chef Donna, who made every dish special, has retired. The best things left on the menu are the spinach cheese dip and the dessert that features a fried taco dripping with honey. For dinner in-between that app and dessert, well, you could try the Cantina on S. Broadway.

I've always liked this place... it has it's own brand of ambiance and the food is quite good. The Mexican Connection has been around Saratoga for years and thats a good sign of how good a restaurant is.
