Metropolis has a chic, urban adult atmosphere where creativity is king. Lava lamps, abstract art and the clever fusion of food and drink await. More than 80 hand crafted martinis, 20 single malt scotches, a sophisticated winelist and an everchanging assortment of fabulous things to eat are offered. Metropolis offers more than 50 "small plates" (the literal translation of "tapas"), some lighter, some heavier, some hot, some cold, and from there the fun begins.
Between the two of them, Mark and Matt of Metropolis have over 30 years of restaurant experience in Corolla, and they pride themselves on making your experience at Metropolis a memorable one. Open year round for dinner. Metropolis is a favorite of locals and those in the restaurant industry.

This restaurant is very cool inside with a nice large bar. The menu is also very interesting. Unfortunately, they sat 3 of us at a table that was too narrow to sit us without bumping into the table next to us. Also, the food (scallops in particular) was overly salted and the drinks a bit watered down. The waiter was also slow as he had way too many tables to handle at once (7 incl 2 larger ones). I rated it as a 3 based on the interior and menu. Otherwise, it was a 2.

Always with outstanding drink options before the meal. Our food (Tapas style servings) was excellent, be it seafood based, meat or pasta. The daily special soup-Cream of Asparagus-was excellent. It was smooth and flavorful but not overwhelmingly creamy or buttery. Outstanding location, especially for groups of 2-4 people.

The restaurant was so cold! We had to change seats because the air conditioning was blowing right on us and we couldn’t get warm even with jackets on. The cheese plate was very minimal for $15. Two pieces of cheese, some pistachios, mustard and chutney. Very disappointing! The soup was delicious.

This was a lovely Mother's Day meal at a gichi restaurant. The food was very good but on the side that says heavy tapas I wish it had had a little more meat. One of the owners took our order and was very helpful as I am handicapped and walk with a rollater. It is definitely a trendy vibe in the restaurant. It does cost a little bit more but for special occasions I think it's worth it.

Delicious food and outstanding cocktails. If you are in a hurry this may not be the place for you. It is wonderful to share plates and linger… fabulous wine list. Some of the best scallops ever. Worth every dollar in my opinion. Love Metropolis!!!

All the tapas was excellent. We love to try a bunch of different things. Great craft cocktails. Desserts were magnificent.

This restaurant serves a wide variety of Tapas (small plate) dishes. We are regular customers and every dish we’ve had has been outstanding. The chef takes pride in his offerings. Wide cocktail selection as well as.

When we are visiting Corolla, we come here at least once a week. Starting with the yummy and ample martinis and then with a very fun, small plate style approach to the menu. This week we enjoyed the Lamb kofta with the amazing red pepper base, the mini crab cakes. Hubby ALWAYS gets the short rib rage of it is in the menu and I really enjoy the foie gras as dessert. Matt and Mark are truly masters. Enjoy!
