   Our bachelorette group had a fun time at MESU! This is the perfect spot for a group of gals who are ready to go out after. Our waiter was attentive and made sure we were never thirsty!

   Two of our three dishes were just okay. Also the drinks were not at all worth the price (margarita pitcher). Fun atmosphere for a party but choose wisely on your food.

   This restaurant caters to bachelorette parties. No one over age 39 should step foot in the joint. The music is ear piercing and vulgar. Their website should be more specific about all of this.

    Mesu stood out to me because of its unique menu, serving both Mexican dishes and sushi - which happen to be two of our favorites! We made a reservation for 6:30pm but since it was a rainy chilly day, we stopped by about 45 minutes early to get out of the cold and see if we could be seated early. The host was very accommodating and worked with the manager to get us seated which we really appreciated. Our server's name was Abby and she was so sweet! Very attentive and shared lots of helpful local recs with us. We bonded over both being from MD. To start, my husband and I shared the chips and guac - the chips were soggy for the most part and the guac did not seem that fresh, but when we ordered more chips, they tasted a lot better! My husband ordered two tacos - the Crispy Chicken Taco (which I also ordered) and the Barbacoa Braised Beef Taco. We shared the Tiger Roll. Everything was tasty and I felt like I had more than enough to eat. Around 7pm it started to get a little loud and the music was turned up which we didn't mind but didn't expect - seems like it becomes a fun college hang out Saturday nights.

    I went because I’m a southern charm fan and tried to support leva BUT most of our dishes got mixed up, it was expensive and so loud so we couldn’t really talk. I won’t go back.

    Our server, Lauren, was awesome! Great service and she was so helpful, not only with the menu but also recommended some other cool things to try while we are in Charleston. We loved her! The food was fantastic, we tried both the sushi and tacos. The vibe was also a lot of fun. It’s a happening place! It’s a little on the pricey side but we will definitely come back next time we are in Charleston.

    Great food and great service. Loud, party-type atmosphere. Hawaii Five-O roll was delicious. Husband had crispy chicken tacos that he said were delicious. Also ordered Jerk Chicken wings appetizer that were really good. Not a bad place, if you like the party atmosphere.

    We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. I made this res based on many reviews of great food and good service. No one mentioned the music so I don’t know if my experience was a one off or the norm. The restaurant is very small. The music was far too loud and frankly offensive. We left before ordering. We could not see ourselves enjoying this experience at all.

    This was a great experience. We sat at the “counter” aka the bar. The bartenders were hilarious and kept up with everything we needed. They make fantastic drinks and the food was pretty good! Recommend the shrimp taco, the truffled tuna tartare bowl, and the dynamite roll. If you’re feeling wild, get a spicy raspberry margarita!! It was loud but not insane to the point we couldn’t hear each other. We will absolutely be back
