    The vibes of this restaurant were immaculate! The music is kind of loud but I absolutely loved it. They had great music playing, everyone was having the best time. My waiter was FANTASTIC, the food was AWESOME. What other restaurant can you have chips, salsa and queso as an appetizer before sushi? It was such an experience and I can’t wait to go back! I would absolutely see myself doing a birthday party of fun dinner with friends there again. Cannot recommend this place enough.

    Food and service were amazing. Music was also awesome but a little too loud. This place seems to be Charleston’s best secret because it’s so easy to get a reservation and everything is always great.

    We went on Thanksgiving and it was a great change from the usual fare. The drinks on the Thanksgiving menu were expensive but that was our choice. Great experience. Delicious moderately priced tacos.

    Chose this place for my daughter’s 18th birthday and it was perfect. High energy and a bit loud. It was perfect. The servers were the best. A couple large groups were there. Bathroom was fun too! Highly recommend. They got sushi and I got the taco salad. It was the best taco salad ever. Can’t go wrong.

    Waitress was great. Food was barely mediocre. Who messes up qusadillas? Asked for no sauce for the bao bun but still got it and it got on my bun. Food was over priced. I wanted to try a new place but never again to Mesu. I'm going to stick to Fuji, our favorite! Very disappointed.

    The food was awesome! The sushi is pricey but really maybe the best I’ve had in a long time!! We ordered the surf & turf roll & it was amazing. Queso was great & I loved the shrimp taco! We ordered lots of stuff but those were the standouts. The restaurant is cool & the vibe was perfect for my 17yo daughter’s bday weekend.

    Unique Mex / Sushi combo really works well. Started off with chips and guac, followed by excellent sushi rolls. Quite good!

    If uou are going to have a fusion menu, then the kitchen needs to be able to push both out at the same time. The tacos, stureet corn and salad came out 15 mins before the sushi arrived. Awkward to eat with others have not gotten their food. Tacos were cold when sushi arrived. Just a quick fix and this place will be amazing. (Server said it is normal which is sad)

    Restaurant is very nice but super loud. Since it was so crowded the only available table was outside on the sidewalk. It was much better. Our server Rachel was attentive and helpful. Definitely recommend.

    The service was great but our party of 4 did not enjoy the food. We ordered a mix of sushi & tacos & it was all very average. The queso was watered down. There are too many tables crammed into a small space so the servers can’t walk between tables without bumping into you or the table. Was excited to try it but won’t return. Also, open table requires a deposit of $25 per person to reserve so I expected higher end food.

    Mesu’s food & service were EXCELLENT. Atmosphere was energetic (a tad loud & tables a tad crowded), and though the food & drinks were wonderful, overall price was higher than the quality + atmosphere should have been. Would recommend visiting during happy hour or promotional times when food is priced more appropriately to the quality and ambiance. (I.e. $10 Tuesdays)

    Mesu was a great experience for our bachelorette party of 9! We were accommodated when we asked to change our reservation, our waitress was AMAZING, the vibes were very energetic and fun! If you’re coming with a group and want to just talk over dinner and drinks, this is not the place for you as the music is very loud but such a fun atmosphere!

    You should definitely try this place! It’s probably my favorite restaurant in Charleston. If you want a less noisy vibe, go on a weeknight. It’s a different experience for sure. Get the Rum Runner for your cocktail and my favorite roll is the Lobster Rangoon. If I had the money I’d eat here once a week!

    The apps came out fast and were great! But then sushi took over 30mins. To be fair it was a Saturday night and they were busy, but once mine came out, it had waaayyy too much soy sauce on it and was just okay. My fiancé enjoyed his, but said it was still average. Our favorite was the street corn skewers, and the Tres Leche cake.

    The food was really good overall - my friends and I split the edamame, street corn, and bao buns for apps, and three sushi rolls for entrees. Felt rushed by the wait staff even tho there were plenty of open tables and they sat us earlier than our reservation was for. Drinks were overpriced and food seemed overpriced as well. Dessert wasn't great.

    The service was difficult, as their receipt software was down- leaving us unable to get a copy of a receipt for a party that was totaling $500.00+, which was unsatisfactory. Management was unable to provide proof that the receipt was closed, or provide an itemized list of what was ordered and purchased.

    Super fun place, energetic venue for customers. Restaurant played good upbeat music that was good for drinking customers. Restaurant incorporates interaction when customers buy big drinks and shots. Great experience for groups or themed events! Food was also very good, menu definitely hits mexican and asian inspiration.

    The music was SO loud that we had to shout to hear each other at our small table. We only stayed for a drink and left because the volume was so annoying.
