   First off I’d like to say I’ll definitely be back, be it for a full dining experience like we had last night or just sitting in the bar having a cocktail and and app or finding a little corner in the lounge downstairs to have a conversation or just hang out. As the young people like to say “ its a vibe” It’s hip and cool and elegant all together with great creative food, cocktails and friendly service. If you don’t live in the city, don’t expect it to be in the best part of town. On Fridays and Saturday nights they have valet parking.

   My first time trying Ethiopian food and everything was delicious! Started with the bidi bidi bam bam drink and that kicked things off great! For appetizers we did the sambuzas which were fire, the duck fat yuca fries were just ok but the sauce it came with was tasty. And we shared a platter (can’t remember the name) but it was good! It came with greens, beans, potatoes, green beans, plantains and the bread to grab it with. One of my friends got the chicken and rice, very good. The other got the strip steak, very good again. And I got the oxtail pasta. Overall, it’s absolutely worth the visit. Glad we made it.

   We had a significant wait for our reservation because our table wasn’t ready, however, the staff made up for it in a multitude of ways. I was celebrating my birthday and they made our dinner experience really sweet. Every staff member who came to our table wished me a happy birthday and the house manager checked in with us a few times to ensure that we were having a good experience. We even got a chance to speak to Chef Nelson, which was really nice. The food and atmosphere were great.

   This is our first time eating Ethiopian cuisine and I’m surprised how good it is. We love our food; Sambusas, NY Strip and Chicken are so good that I have to order an extra rice. For the drinks, the Ethiopian beer, piña colada and the “Bam Bam” drinks are nice as well. Customer service is on point; friendly, attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Overall, I LOVE this place and would definitely recommend to friends and will definitely go back to try the other menu items.

   The diasporic bistro experience did not disappoint. Fresh ingredients, bold flavors, fire music, I loved everything.

   Meski is a fantastic new addition to the neighborhood! The atmosphere was lively, complemented by a great playlist, and the food was both delicious and well presented. We weren’t quite sure what to expect from the pairing of Ethiopian and Latin cuisines, but we were genuinely impressed by the bold and vibrant flavors. The Kitfo Tartare featured intriguing spices, while the Tibs de Madras offered a perfect balance with the sweetness of the plantains offset by the briny olives and tangy pickled onions. The Arroz Con Pollo had a wonderfully spiced depth of flavor, and the Rabo Encendido Casarecce avoided the usual messiness of oxtail by serving it shredded. Coconut Panna Cotta and East African Donuts made for a perfect end to the meal. While the food and ambiance were strong, the service could still use some fine-tuning. When we requested a different table after being seated literally by the door, the host responded with a bit of attitude. Our entrées arrived while we were still eating our appetizers, and our server, though very pleasant, didn’t take our drink order until halfway through the entrée course and could have checked in more frequently. We had also mentioned it was a birthday celebration when making the reservation, but it seems that detail was missed. The interior is attractive, benefiting from the beautiful build-out originally done for the Saratoga they built upon with art and plants, alive and preserved. I admit that I miss the cozy, intimate feeling of the downstairs bar seating, keeping the comfy barstools and incorporating moodier lighting would make that space more inviting, as it was my favorite spot for dinner during the Saratoga. The table by the door would benefit from a wind barrier to make it more comfortable for diners. That said, I am confident they’ll work out the kinks, and I am looking forward to coming back soon!

   Fun and vibrant environment. Tyler, our server, did an awesome job. It was pretty loud inside, and each table was occupied. I am glad I tried it and got to support Draymond! I think people should go and try it at least once. Fun place for a group or an outing, and also for a nice date night (if you can manage the noise). The food for me was a 6.5/10.

    Our experience here was nothing less than fantastic. This was a good spot to settle down and relax after a long day, and we really enjoyed the pleasant demeanor of our server, and the overall experience as a whole. The food was very good!
