   Lastnight was my third time to this Mesita location. I have given my experience 5 stars in the past but lastnight was really disappointing. our server seemed to be on a different planet. He took a long time to greet the table (10+ min), my mother asked for a margarita with light ice and he didn’t write down light ice, so of course it came full of ice and was watered down. my Husband ordered a Tequila (Lalo) neat and was charged $22.00 instead of the $18.00 listed on the menu. We ordered the chicken/shrimp/sausage/steak platter (says serves 2-3 people) for 3 of us to share. When it came out, there was only 2 tortillas. We asked for a third tortilla for the 3rd person eating the dish, and he charged us $4.00 for a third tortilla!!!! what in the world? My mom asked for no onions on her monterey chicken. it came with a MOUNTAIN of onions on it, but the waiter wasn’t really around anywhere to let him know, so my mom just took them all off herself as she ate. She showed the waiter at the end of our meal all the onions on her plate, and reminded him that she asked for no onions, and all he said was (with a 5 second delay) “oh. that’s bad.” My father got fish tacos, and the waiter asked my father if he wanted rice or beans, as if it comes with the tacos. My dad said rice, thinking it was part of the taco dinner. Our server charged my dad an extra 5.00 for the side of rice. We did not know about ANY of these charges until we saw the bill. We had already paid with 2 credit cards split, so it would have been a huge hassle to explain all these heinous up charges that we were not informed about and void the transactions etc. I was a server for 10+ years, I understand the value of upselling, however THIS IS NOT HOW YOU DO IT. He was sneaky. Also, check on your tables more. we had to flag him down for everything. Usually the manager comes over to ask us how our dinner went, but he did not show up at our table that night to let him know.

   The server was great!! The food was good. We were right near the kitchen despite there being several other available seats not at the kitchen door so it wasn't a vibe but it's whatever. The drinks were $18 with $2 worth of alcohol but it's a chain restaurant so that's how that goes. I hope it makes it. I'm glad it's in the village. Good luck.

   Everything was great except the way the tables were arranged they were pretty close together. Also the waitress for the other table kept standing in between our table and the other table which was awkward when we were eating. I saw there was a baby at the other end, but there was so much more room than where she decided to stand. Highly suggest the made to order guacamole.

   Food was ok, too much cheese on the street corn, felt a little rushed, then again it was Easter Sunday. My wife liked it better than RVC, me not so much. Something just felt like it was missing. Perhaps the steak tacos I ordered were not as flavorful as I would have hoped. Perhaps I will try one more time.

   my wife and I had an amazing experience at mesita. From the food, to the atmosphere, everything was exceptional. Our appetizers, dinner and drinks were great quality and taste. Service was top notch. We will definitely be returning.

    Everything was excellent! From the time we sat down we received water immediately. Our Server came for our drink orders which we received very quickly. She took our order and we got our food so fast within 20 minutes. The food was excellent as were the drinks. Noise level was a bit loud which was the only negative. Prices were reasonable and the food portions large. I will definitely go back.
