   I get it being cinco de mayo & busy…but it was my wife’s birthday, I made notes on the reservation & nothing…not a “happy birthday” or anything! Restaurant is beautiful! Music was way too loud. (Yes, I sound old, but I’m not!) couldn’t speak at the table.

   Really uncomfortably loud. My skillet chicken was dry. Expensive for what it is.

   Food was excellent as always! Had a large group of 20 people and the service was excellent! Very attentive and accommodating. Such a great spot for any occasion!

   Food was pricey but good, but prices are high everywhere. The seating was a little cramped. Very loud, hard to carry on a conversation. Asked for a desert menu was told not during brunch. The food was good enough to give it another shot.

   Our reservation was honored and we were seated immediately...always a good thing! We weren't crazy about our table---literally steps from the front door / lots of foot traffic passing our table and there were better tables available, but we didn't want to be a "Karen" and ask for an empty table at the banquette against the wall. We are also not huge lingerers over dinner so we knew we wouldn't be there more than an hour. Our server came over within 5 minutes, which gave us enough time to peruse cocktails on the menu and see some dinner choices. I chose the Blood Orange Margarita (with the server's recommendation over another cocktail I was considering) and the flavor I was looking for was definitely there, but the tequila was not...I asked for a strong drink and he said he'd see what he could do. I ended up with an $18 cocktail with very little tequila and 4-5 sips and it was done. Lots of ice, not so much cocktail. My husband enjoyed his Paloma Loma, but same same. Done in a few sips and not much alcohol in it. On to the food...so great. Every single thing. The complimentary chips and salsa were very good...just enough spice on the salsa so even the biggest spice wimps wouldn't be upset. We like spice. We split the Fundido skillet and ate the entire thing and all of the chips with it. I had the pulled pork enchiladas and had to take half home because I was ready to bust. It's a hearty plate with black beans and rice so it's like 2 meals in one. Delicious. My husband ordered the 3 taco entree--chicken, birria and barbacoa. He had a tough time finishing them because they were huge! Not street tacos so you really got your money's worth. We were way too full for dessert, but looked at the options and definitely would have gotten the Heavenly Nachos if we could fit them in our stomachs! Next time. We will definitely be back, but I'll ask for straight up tequila. Wish they offered tequila flights! I wish Mesita prosperity and happiness.

   We went for brunch. Everything tasted great! Highly recommend the chicken and churro waffles. My tropical margarita was great. The restaurant is inside an old bank, but now it looks like a beautiful Mexican town. Will be back soon!

   My daughters fourth birthday we grabbed some dinner everything was perfect thanks Mesita for making amazing experience ;)
