   Great experience for our party of 5. Seated right away even though we were a bit early for our reservation. Attentive service. Perfection in cocktails. Food was well prepared using plenty of locally sourced ingredients. Our waitstaff, Emily, answered all our questions happily and was more than knowledgeable about menu items. Would definitely recommend reservations... a spectacular lunch or dinner will be yours! Best experience on the Island of Hawaii

   We had an unforgettable dining experience at Merriman’s Waimea. The service was top-notch—attentive, thoughtful, and especially accommodating of my gluten allergy, which made the evening feel even more special. The food was outstanding: we enjoyed the perfectly cooked steak and the fresh catch of the day, both of which paired beautifully with their excellent wine. As a lovely surprise, we were also treated to a complimentary dessert. From start to finish, it was a memorable evening. Highly recommend!

   Merriman’s was outstanding! The duet was a great idea for main course since you can choose 2 entrees and get both on one plate.

   Another amazing dinner at the most consistently great restaurant on the Big Island. From the moment we were seated until the moment we left, it was truly a 5 star experience. Very well oiled machine with an excellent (and constantly evolving) menu. Best wine list on Island and helpful smiling staff. We had a great meal. Highly recommend.

   初の訪問でした。 親切なスタッフが対応していただき、安心して食事ができました。日本語は、全く通じませんでしたが、何とか注文でき、来た食事は、最高に美味しいものでした。ハワイ島に何度も何度も来ていますが、こんなお店があったなんて、驚きました。ちょっと遠いけど次回も必ず行きます。

    We chose this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Service was rushed. ( plates cleared before both dinners finished. Bill delivered while still eating! Food we extremely subpar. First entree (filo crusted Ono) was over cooked and very salty. Second entree (fresh catch) was very salty. Unfortunately this restaurant was overall a disappointment!

The service you described—rushed pacing, clearing plates prematurely, and presenting the check before you had finished dining—is not reflective of the level of hospitality we strive to deliver.
