Spread over two floors, this Fitzrovia-based restaurant is the brainchild of Monica Galetti who is featuring as a judge on the BBC's MasterChef The Professionals.
The restaurant itself serves traditional, simple dishes that have been delicately tweaked and modified to Galetti's liking. Nestled above the spacious basement restaurant is the bar, which serves light snacks and an array of delectable cocktails.
Monica's husband, David Galetti, is in charge of the Front of House at Mere, using his years of experience as an expert sommelier to create a wine selection along side his head Sommelier Sandra that perfectly balances with the seasonal dishes on offer.

Fantastic restaurant. Lovely tentative staff with sublime food and drink to offer. Menu is a little limited but very adaptable to all needs
Very nice restaurant. Good space between tables. Front desk was excellent.
Dessert was excellent.
Excellent. First class food, attentive staff. Really good wine list with good range of prices.
My wife and I really enjoyed our anniversary meal at Mere, we were made to feel welcome and looked after, throughout our experience of fine dining by all the staff!
We would highly recommend Mere restaurant to anyone wanting somewhere special to eat.
Decided to visit again for my birthday. Best intentions of sticking to the set lunch menu but tempted across to the a la carte and definitely made the right decision. Quite possibly the best meal I’ve ever had. Veal sweetbread starter, pigeon main and hokey pokey for dessert - all delicious and highly recommended.
The service was superb and we were well looked after. Probably the best food I’ve ever eaten..I recommend Mere to anyone who likes food (me). You pay for what you get and we got a treat so I don’t mind paying extra...extremely well worth it. Definitely going back
I travelled from Ireland specifically to dine at Mere and was not disappointed.
Thank you to Monica and her team. This was a experience I will not forget!
Exceptional food and service. The staff are really attentive and knowledgeable. Would definitely return.
The staff were friendly, helpful and informative and the atmosphere was relaxing. The food was absolutely "spot on"! It was heaven!
Truly amazing. Was so excited to come here after hearing great things (and of course watching Monica on Masterchef) and it didn't disappoint! Went for the tasting menu with wine pairings and could not fault it - every course was amazing and the wines were delicious. The service was great; the staff were warm and friendly without being overly formal, setting just the right tone. The restaurant itself is decorated nicely and creates a nice atmosphere, feeling not too formal whilst still having that feeling that it's somewhere a bit upmarket and great for a special occasion. Will definitely be back!
Friendly and efficient service. We enjoyed the experience, our food was excellent.
Loved the Tasting Menu and Wine pairing. However one of the Waiters(Red haired guy) was a little abrupt during our meal, which ruined the experience a little.
The tasting menu dishes were either uneventful, trying too hard, not very tasty or in the case of the beef, really tough and I left almost half on my plate, as did my friend.
The wine choices going with the tasting menu were the saving grace of the evening.
Ambiance not enjoyable. The music quite unnecessary if not disturbing. Choice of music poor. Very loud once the restaurant filled up. Tables too close to one another, really packing in people. Not commensurate with fine dining.
We were looking forward to seeing what the Masterchef Critic Galetti would surprise us with. Left disappointed. Will not come back.
My wife’s birthday.
a day out in London then theatre in the evening
A very special treat - we chose the tasting menu with wine pairings which delivered a beautiful meal of deliciously crafted courses. We enjoyed superb yet relaxed service from knowledgable staff in comfortable and elegant surroundings. We’ll be back.
Our favourite restaurant. We just love going to Mere, the food it wonderful, the team feel like family and we couldn’t be happier.
Beautifully understated and modern restaurant, staff couldn’t have been more helpful and the food was exceptional. I had been looking forward to this for months and it exceeded my expectations at every turn.
Went for an "after the matinee" dinner. Whilst not cheap, the meal and service were both excellent and we would not hesitate to go again.
Lunch menu very good especially venison and crepe souffle
Fantastic meal. Beautiful but unpretentious presentation. Attentive service but never felt rushed. Can’t recommend highly enough.
We really enjoyed our experience at Mere. The ambiance and service were great and the food was delicious (except my lobster was slightly overcooked). I am a big fan of Monica Galetti from her TV shows. I felt the restaurant reflected her personality well - relaxed / informal and sophisticated. We aimed to eat and move on but ended up spending a leisurely time enjoying the experience rather than rushing off.
Great attention to detail. Welcoming front of house. Great ambience. The food was exquisite. One of the best special occasion meals we’ve had. Can thoroughly recommend this lovely restaurant.
Excellent food, excellent service.
Only disappointment was that there was too long a gap between courses on doing the tasting menu leaving us rather hungry and our lunch reservation took nearly 3 hours!!!!
Great atmosphere great ambience great service and especially great food.
Mussels starter Lobster main and the amazing Hokey Pokey dessert ..... F-a-b-u-l-o-u-s !!!
Interesting flavours and imaginative ideas. Had stone bass which was very good. Haven't has sweetbreads in years - enjoyed it.
staff are really good and enjoyed the bar before dinner
Reception was very personalised. Service was good but discrete. Food and wine options were plentiful for lunch. Quality of the food was excellent. Very tasty. An excellent lunch experience.
Superb evening, warmly greeted and delicious food, every bite was a joy.
Would recommend highly.
Superb in every way ! Two of us chose the 3 course lunch menu. The scene was set by great ambience and front of house team led by David, incredibly welcoming, attentive in a discreet way and efficient. The food was wonderful, simple but so flavoursome - we both had duck starter, venison main and pear crepe souffle desert. The icing on the cake was a visit by Monica to our table - what a lovely touch and finale to a truly memorable meal !
Very warm welcome, always ready to help with any questions
We all had a fantastic evening at mere as a 70th birthday treat for my husband. The scallops were to die for and the beef dish was extraordinarily tender and succulent. the atmosphere was calm and unhurried and the service was monitored at all times and was never intrusive.
many thanks for a fab evening
Absolutely stunning meal in Mere on Fri night. The food, service and restaurant itself were fabulous. Lovely touch to have Monica come out from the kitchen and talk to all of her guests.
Excellent taster menu. Staff were all excellent and attentive. Sommelier excellent.
It was a Christmas present to my parents they were amazed by the service and the food was to a very very high standard
Incredible all round, service exceptional and food was delightful
We chose from the set menu this time. The food was delicious but next time I would chose from the a la carte menu where there is more choice!
The food was delicious - the flavours were a exquisite and the textures a treat. The attention to detail was sublime and the service was second to none. The ambience was vibrant, with the intimacy of a private dining room thanks to the very clever use of the lightwell. Monica added a special personal touch taking the time to talk to everyone. We shall definitely be returning.
We live in Switzerland and visit U.K. 2or 3 times a year, often dissappionted with food or service, in "Mere" it was different from the atmosphere to the the food all perfect - a real joy. Monika has a good feeling for food and her husband keeps a watchful eye on service. It is a shame they are not nearer. Until recently my wife & I had a restaurant and know how hard it is to keep the standards one requires to please a good class of guests, well done and follow the path you are going.
An excellent dinner. The usual warm welcome from David and his team. We had three courses from the a la carte. The intense flavours in the sauces for the sweetbreads and the pigeon were exceptional. The sommelier is knowledgeable and very helpful. He recommended a New Zealand Riesling (a wine I would not normally choose) and it went perfectly with the food. Monica "worked the tables" towards the end of our meal which was a great pleasure.
Great place for a special occasion. Would very highly recommend!
