   Goodness. Lovely welcome by the staff. Pre lunch drinks and popcorn then the 6 course tasting menu with wine flight. All absolutely delicious, perfectly presented, and appropriate portion sizes. We left comfortably full but by no means too full. OK it’s not cheap, particularly with the high end wines, but it was well worth it. Never having been before I would come again!!

   Absolutely fabulous dinner. We were well looked after by Martina, Salvatore and Alex. The kitchen timed the courses of the tasting menu perfectly so we would not be rushed, but we wouldn't risk missing our taxi home. Food was delectable and the matching wines were spot on.

   Incredible service, food and facilities, cannot fault it. Sommelier was especially great but all the staff were useful and knowledgeable. Recommend having a coffee or a cocktail upstairs before you leave.

   Food was outstanding but thought some dishes could have been hotter. Had tasting menu which was delicious and staff were very attentive, excellent service. Perhaps some music to help atmosphere as could hear conversation on next table as a little quiet at points, ther times it was very loud dud to a priavte party so a bit of a mix. Wine choice was excellent. As a pescatarian menu we couldn't ask for more so that made a welcome change. Would definitely recommend and a lovely experience.

   The ground floor bar is excellent, comfortable seating and a very good selection of drinks. The basement restaurant is spacious but tables are very close together, though of no relevance during this visit since there were a total of 4 people including us, which spoiled the ambiance a bit. The scallops (2) starter was beautifully cooked and the main of cod poached in butter was also superb but if you are very hungry or have a large appetite, try elsewhere, it suited me though. The wine list is very good, mark ups are very steep, but par for the course in London these days.

    Food was amazing but I wouldn’t go for the wine pairing again due to the very small measures. Probably not even 50ml per course. Bar staff upstairs were more interested in playing with their phones than what was going on around them.

    This was our second visit, we love this restaurant, it has a great atmosphere, lovely helpful staff, fabulous food, I just can’t fault it! We just wished we lived closer. AMAZING.

    This was our first visit but it won't be our last. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience. The food was excellent, the service was attentive and friendly without being too much, the non-alcoholic drink selection was a delight and the food was superb.

    Exceptional food and service. It is unbelievable that Mere still does not have a Michelin Star. It is far superior to many of the starred restaurants I have eaten at.

    From a pre-lunch drink in the bar to a finalcoffee everything was fantastic. We had the 6 course tasting menu which turned out to be a great choice. The dishes were beautifully presented and delicious, they catered superbly for my Coeliac wife and the people were attentive and explained everything to us so we really felt we knew about the food before we ate it. Its expensive but well worth the money for the experience, would highly recommend.

    This has been my favourite restaurant for some years now. I have spent the last two birthdays there (and would have been more but for lockdown). I was rather saddened to have enjoyed a less than the expected excellent visit for my latest birthday lunch: The food was up to it’s usual standard and the wine exceptional. However the delay between courses was overly long and it seemed as though there was confusion between the staff re those who were looking after us (we were attended by man other than the sommelier). Service was particularly slack with regard to deserts - we waited over 10 minutes for the menus to be brought to us despite having advised the waiter that we only had 40 minutes until we needed to leave for the theatre (which should have been more than sufficient time to enjoy them). When the menus arrived we chose quickly and advised the staff again that we needed to finish our meal by 2pm (our booking was 12pm). Sadly the deserts had still not arrived at 2pm despite yet another request to provide a speedier service than was given (we were advised we were “next to be served” and yet other tables still seemed to get their food first (in all we made the requirement clear to three staff). When the deserts arrived at 2.05pm I advised that it was too late to eat and enjoy them and asked that they be returned to the kitchen and that the costs be removed from the bill. As I was quite upset by this time, I asked for 50% of the service charge to be removed. My friends and I had made a special effort to come into London early to enjoy this lunch and I had long awaited a table having tried pre Christmas and not been successful. I feel sure that you can understand my disappointment. I do hope that it will to put me off Mere but I would ask you to take the issue up with your staff, one of whom seemed particularly perturbed at my request to partially remove the service charge!! Not a good response from a member of a team one expects to be professional.

    We arrived early for a cocktail in the bar, they were brilliant, we had the Old Fashioned and Blueberry Fusion. We then had the 6 course tasting menu and discovery wine flight. Every course was wonderfully presented, delivered with a clear and detailed description from the waiters, and the flavours were incredible. Our favourite was the Crown pasta course, the pork cheek was beautifully cooked. Thank you to all the wait staff and kitchen for an amazing evening.

    This was mine and my fiancé’s first fine dining experience and it did not disappoint! It exceeded our expectations and we are already thinking about when we can go back. The staff were super friendly and made us feel very welcomed. We were celebrating our anniversary so the special touches were truly appreciated! We would highly recommend this place to any thinking about going.

    The team from the reception, to the bar and then restaurant are attentive, positive, engaging and knowledgeable. It is great that there is a choice of either the tasting menu or a la carte. This flexibility was much appreciated. The food was exquisite, with great texture, flavours and quality. Would highly recommend.
