Even during the chaotic times of corona they served with full friendliness, cheer and gloves. We love the open kitchen design and intimate atmosphere. Variety of seating options, great HH. Can be a bit loud at times both inside but also outside with light rail. Overall the food was delicious and service was great!
Service was slow. Food was mediocre.
Brussel sprouts were fabulous. Tuna burger was perfect. The ambiance was great. This is my new favorite.
The brussel sprouts were AMAZING. All the food was excellent. The service was also great. Will go back for sure!!
I go here a couple times a year just for the swordfish. The food is excellent. Decor is basic, well-lit, modern. The service is always impeccable. Your glass is never empty. Which can get to be a problem, at $12 a cocktail. So yes it can get spendy. It can also get noisy, but overall we always love coming here.
Great service
I chose the meatloaf, and was not disappointed. The portion was large and the grilled asparagus and glazed carrots were delicious. Would order the meatloaf again the next time I dine here. My wife had the beef stroganof and said it was a winner.
I was surprised when a server brought an extra beer to our table. My wife thought it was a mistake until the server informed us that the beer I selected was 2-for-1 until 6 p.m!!!!!! Yet another reason to return to the Mercury.
It is my birthday and it’s only every four years I enjoyed my first bday dinner there yesterday thanks again! It was good and I will be back for sure
We went for Restaurant Week so it was a fixed price dinner. But the food was outstanding as we're the cocktails. I recommend Mercury Dining to all who are willing to venture into the city.
We had a fantastic time! Food was great and service was perfect!
Fried chicken sandwich was delicious, waitress was amazing and very friendly!
It was Restaurant Week offering a special menu for a set price. The food choices were delicious. We also ordered the Brussels Sprouts which are the best we’ve ever had. It was quite noisy at times so sometimes couldn’t hear each other. Still a wonderful dining experience.
Wonderful food, excellent service, a bit noisy for us, will certainly go back there again.
Really good food and great service. The short ribs were amazing. The carrot cake was delicious as well.
Had a great meal with wonderful service. Good drinks too!
The brussel sprouts are worth the trip! Some of the best Crab Cakes I have had in the city.
From the warm, cheesy popovers to the tomato bisque soup, or the perfectly grilled salmon to compliment my poached pear and blue cheese salad, this lunch was sublime. Stephanie, our server was kind and hospitable. No issue with my OpenTable reservation. Just another great meal and experience for my guest and me.
We could not get into Mercury for Valentine's Day so we made reservations for Sunday after VDay. The staff was attentive without being intrusive. I ordered a gin martini with blue cheese stuffed olives (hand stuffed), and it was delicious. We both enjoyed our meals -- meatloaf and Mercury burger. As a surprise, our waiter brought us dessert on the house for our Valentine's Day celebration. If you have not been to Mercury, go for lunch or dinner -- both are good. They also serve breakfast all day. Who does not love breakfast all day? Yum.
The service was excellent and so was the food. One of my drinks was a bit late but that didn’t bother me at all, and it was then given to me at no charge. Would definitely come back again!
Have a lemon drop martini, you won't regret it! The sugar coated rim is amazing. I had the scallops, I only got 6 and there wasn't much sauce. My boyfriend got swordfish and it was to die for!
Great service great food
This was a very delightful evening, the Walleye was excellent and we were served in a very reasonable timeframe. The drinks were stiff, but that is the only facet of the night that wasn't above-average. Mercury is a great spot for dinner.
We loved our date night at the Mercury Dining Room. Ambiance was great, we sat at a high top in the bar but still was cozy and did not have the typical bar seating feel. Our server was great and allowed us the time we needed to enjoy our night. Food was spectacular. We had the crab cakes, popovers, seafood Mac & Cheese and the beef stroganoff all was very good and portion sizes were good.
Mercury Dining Room is an example of what 5-star service means. It was like watching the workings of a machine, or how a cruise ship runs a dining room. A lot of staff, everyone always moving, several cooks in the kitchen and each one at their own special station. Staff have specific jobs in specific areas, and they stay on top of things. The manager was always revolving around the place, watching over and making sure all was smooth.
We used a $100 gift card that we received at Xmas, but they said it was only a $50 when they ran it. After some texting with our friends in question, and a discussion with the manager, they honored the entire $100 anyway. That is just awesome!
The food is incredible, and quite the value for what we enjoyed. I can't say enough about this place. We'll be back.
Mercury has the best brunch in Minneapolis! The bottomless mimosas are a hidden gem and the homemade jam that comes with the toast is to die for. Always great service & awesome food.
Our server was awesome! The food was delicious! Loved the bolonese pasta
Our office is right by Mercury so we go there often - luckily, there is enough variety in the menu that I never get bored!
Relatively good food... indifferent service. And I guess I have to read the entire menu to see if there are any hidden charges for “wellness?’ I will not be returning.
Mercury accommodated a reservation modification for a busy a Friday after work time slot, and it wasn’t easy. My group appreciated it very much. Zachary’s service was professional, helpful and timely. And the kitchen accommodated a special menu request. Really good experience.
Good not great. Lobster Bisque was cold and didn’t sit well. When because we got a gift card. Wouldn’t spend my own money there.
Another picture perfect lunch. Though this was a lunch date with my #1 partner in life. The starter brussel sprouts were both plentiful and bursting with flavor. My guest loved the perfectly poached salmon on her roasted beet salad. We both ordered hot tea, served with plenty of lemon and plenty of hot water too. My ahi tuna burger was good, but a little too crumbly today. My Arnie Palmer never reached empty. And Shannon, our server, was present but never intrusive. Her level of service was fabulous. Great spot for a mid-day date!
I would recommend not ordering the Grilled Cheese sandwich anymore, which is now a half sandwich and very much overpriced.
Not sure when that happened, but I will definitely not be ordering that particular item again. Otherwise, it was great.
From Michelle and her team at the host stand ensuring my OpenTable reservation was spot on, to Brit taking care of every detail from order to delivery, to the roast beet salad with salmon and poached pear salad with salmon, everything was fabulous. This place treats you well whether a 1st time guest or weekly regular. Something for everyone on the menu, and easy to get to by foot and skyway.
Awesome service! Came here for brunch on a Saturday, with my 3-month old son. Staff was super-friendly & brought a car seat holder to the table without me asking. Food was wonderful! Fresh and well plated. Our server Olivia was attentive & caring. The craft cocktail I ordered was delicious!
Will be back!!
Our second time there and both times have been excellent! Order the brussel sprouts! Best I've ever had. The food is creative and really tasty. Cocktails are a bit pricey, but well concocted. We'll be back!
Food for the evening was very good however the service was a little lacking. Granted, it was New Year's Eve and the place was busy, but it seemed as if they were short staffed for the night. Also an issue is the establishment imposed 3% addition to the bill for "Employee Wellness". "Employee Wellness" does not change if my bill is $100 or $500 so why charge a flat 3%? I suggest the parent company be brave and raise the menu items by 3% and stop pretending that "Wellness Costs" increase along with the size of my bill.
We waited over an hour for our food and multiple tables seated after us got their food before us
Awesome Vikings pre-game
It was the best by far
Snarky server and call from host when they failed to check me in. They called while I was in the restaurant and left a snarky vm. Server not please when I asked to move tables when they were unable to turn off the vent blowing directly in my face. I won’t make it a priority to do business lunches here.
Always a good experience. Friendly, efficient wait staff. Great food. Good people watching. Two thumbs up!
