The service was mediocre as was the food. It took almost an hour to get 2 cups of soup, 2 salads, and an omelette. We ordered a spinach salad and it was mainly romaine. It was a disappointing meal and rather expensive for the final product and service.
Brought a guest to Mercury for lunch. It was his first visit. He loved the friendliness of the team, from host table to server to bartender. Everyone was simply great in making him feel welcomed. He went with the Mercury Burger, and loved it, French fries and all. We never had a half-full glass of water, and every need was met without hesitation. It simply was a great meal and a great setting.
Always good here. We make it a regular stop. Reservations are a good idea.
We go to Mercury before all of our Vikings games. We are always happy with the food, drinks, and service.
It was outstanding and would highly recommend it!
First time dining here- great atmosphere! We went on a Saturday night, so we made reservations ahead. We expected it to be busy, which was fine, but we had to wait a very, very long time for our drinks. We placed our order with our server, another person came and refilled waters once, and another came with our food. We had asked for limes and ketchup to be brought but there must have been some miscommunication- I ended up going to the bar myself to grab these items (where I also had to wait a long time). Drinks and food were pretty average. At the end of it all, we didn't even remember what our main server looked like because she didn't check on us after our initial order was placed.
Fantastic food, friendly service.
Our go-to restaurant when we visit Minneapolis. We've been coming here for 3 years and have never had a bad experience.
The food here was amazing, and the ambiance was great too! We went here to celebrate our anniversary and were not disappointed! Highly recommend the deviled eggs, tuna tartare, and scallops.
Incredible breakfast! Best steak and eggs I've ever had! Highly recommended!
Wonderful spot for delicious drinks and excellent cauliflower risotto. And popovers. So good!
The ambience was nice and very business professional friendly. Unfortunately, my food and the service wasn't what I expected and was pretty sub-par. I would still recommend restaurant chalking it up to a bad day for the chef/wait staff.
Server forgot to put our order in. About 45 minutes after we ordered, he still had not checked on us. So we went and asked him. It was obvious he forgot to put the order in, so we got our food more than an hour after we ordered it. The manager never came by to check on us or apologize. They gave us $40 in gift cards, but we still paid our $70 food. The entire lunch was 1 hour 45 minutes. Way too long for a business lunch meeting and for busy professionals.
Had brunch at Mercury for the first time - four adults and a baby. They were very accommodating for the baby and very attentive and made great food recommendations. Food is very good and reasonably priced. Comfy booths. Nice ambiance. Convenient location! Good menu variety! Highly recommend for weekend brunch. Happy hour is also great!
The food was tasty, our server was wonderful and engaging. Very cool ambiance.
Great food, great service! Thank you, Britt, for great breakfast suggestions. We’ll be back!
It was okay. on a weds eve. we had two of the 24 hr breakfast plates and the encrusted walleye. breakfast plates awesome but something not right with the walleye. warmed olive great as were the crab cakes. server wasnt around much and waited quite a while for drinks to come... ot sure why - Didnt seem that bust
Another great business lunch at Mercury. Brit got us seated while the hostess was occupied. Emily came in as our server and never missed a beat. The Ahi Burger with kale slaw was really enjoyed by my guest. And the Beet Salad with added salmon was perfect, as usual. I love the consistent food, prices, and high quality service. My guest was impressed, and loved the vibe at lunch too.
The food was excellent, portions quite generous. Brussels sprouts highly recommended! Salmon and Walleye fantastic! The place was a bit noisy but other than that very enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend to others and go back as well
Mercury Dining Club is the place to go for a 1st date! The service, the food, the physical layout all top-notch. Stop by for good food and even better vibes.
Comfortable seating, not too loud, food was good to very good, excellent service and hostess. Thanks
Love this place! Great food! Great service! Have never had a bad meal here! The staff is always warm and friendly!
Lovely food and atmosphere! We will definitely be back!
Enjoyed the restaurant week menu. Salmon was delicious
Way too noisy especially if you want to have any conversation!
Great service. Always excellent tasting food.
I love all the Blue Plate restaurants and I’ve been to all of them. This was my first time at Mercury and the service and food were both great. I appreciated the happy hour prices and menu selections were also great. It was, however, “bald and free” night but my friend and I who are both clearly follicly challenged had to remind the wait staff of our discount when the bill came.
In addition to the great service and great menus at all their restaurants, I will always be a faithful patron of the Blue Plate restaurants, because of “Bald and Free” night.
We had 4:45 pm reservations on Sunday, October 13th. We specifically made reservations here because of restaurant week. I ask about the restaurant week menu which had three choices when I made the reservations. I was told that they ran out of one of them, the short ribs. Server said that they didn’t realize Restaurant Week started that day and also that there was a Vikings game. I would say that doesn’t look good for the management.
I asked if they had a substitution and he said no. Asked him to check. They substituted meatloaf for short ribs. Not really the same price point or a very exciting option.
Slow service, bill was not correct and we won’t be back.
Vikings home Game day morning. 4 of us stopped in for drinks and breakfast. Very good food, and great service!
Very loud dining experience. Was not impressed with the lobster bisque - very thin, soupy consistency. Seared scallops were either on the warming table too long or microwaved - the texture was not that of something freshly seared. The steak sandwich was ok but not remarkable.
Our server was lovely and the staff seemed very nice, but the food was not worthy of a return trip.
Disappointed after making a reservation for nine people weeks in advance and the only table the had to accommodate us was a high top table in the bar area. Making a reservation for dinner I did not expect to be sitting on bar stools. It was 4 PM and the restaurant was not busy yet the service for drinks and food was very slow.
This is a nice restaurant with reasonable food prices (wines by the glass were a bit high). We had the duck and crab cakes. The duck was done correctly but the skin could have been rendered better. The crab cakes were not special but were good nonetheless. Wine selection was quite good and not there was not too many to chose from. Service was casual but adequate. Recommended.
Went to Mercury for brunch for my birthday, and I had such a great time! The restaurant has ambiance lighting, which still gives each table it's own vibe despite the open floor plan. The bar and the rail, overlooking the kitchen, provide scenery and the staff are extremely attentive and polite. The food presentation is some of the best I've seen in the metro for sure. Thanks again Mercury for everything!
Great food. Brussels sprouts were excellent. Great game day specials. Awesome bloody mary
We love to go to Mercury before Vikings games. It fills up fast, so get there early. SKOL!
A lovely meal. We all enjoyed our time here!
Good breakfast spot downtown. Parking was expensive and a hassle though.
It's a good lunch spot for the downtown business crowd. I've always had good food but it's the service that's outstanding.
We had a great server, very helpful. We had a group of 5 and I think that their food may have taken a bit longer so mine was done early and it was cold (grilled cheese/avocado & fries) when I got it. Otherwise we really enjoyed it and will return.
Salads were outstanding and flavorful. Great service
