Mercer Roof Terrace, located on the 7th floor of Vintry & Mercer, takes in the sweep of London’s skyline, from the dome of St Paul’s Cathedral to the glass tip of The Shard.

Outside, guests can enjoy an al fresco dining experience above the city lights in a partially covered settings with comfy blankets and overhead heating perfect for chilly evenings.

Inside, the atmosphere is warm and convivial, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors opening wide to the night’s sky.

You can enjoy a menu that celebrates the best of modern English cooking, showcasing farm-to-table meat, fish and seasonal vegetables cooked using our charcoal oven and our house infused craft cocktails displayed in colourful glass carafes on the bar.

    Would not rush back to this restaurant. Went for lunch on a day out in London (2 adults, 2 children) and found it very underwhelming. I had the fish and chips. The fish was really not good at all. Thick, greasy batter and over-cooked cod (to the extent that it was a spongy / soggy tissue consistency!) My husband had the bass which was also over-cooked and had to chase his side order of new potatoes which were delivered - cold - half way through the meal. The children had tomato pasta (which was OK but then it’s hard to get that wrong!) and chicken gougons which were also over-cooked and too crispy. No check back part way into the meal and no one asked how our food was. Given that they were very quiet, the quality of food and level of service was really disappointing. It’s not a cheap option (even factoring London prices) which meant it really didn’t feel like good value for money Definitely NOT somewhere I’d recommend.

    Wonderful oasis amongst the city madness. Beautiful terrace, great weather (lunchtime 29th). Food outstanding (esp lamb rump and sea bass), wine delicious (Sauv Blanc), ambience perfect. Will return.

    Superb Royal afternoon tea to celebrate a bride to be - lovely venue roof terrace, delicious food (including a second plate of sandwiches), excellent service, very attentive staff - was amazing!!

    Roof terrace venue was lovely. We had a table of 4 and 2 of us chose the Plaice for main course which was very mushy and wet and not enjoyable. However, starters (crab cake) and dessert (cheese cake) were good and wine was excellent. Would I try this venue again? Possibly.

    Service was good . The atmosphere was very noisy even though it was Tuesday lunchtime and the restaurant was not full. The salmon fishcake was overcooked and it was more potato than salmon. I have dined at this restaurant on other occasions and it was quieter and the food better. One minor criticism even when fresh glasses of wine were delivered the old empty ones were left on the table until our waiter came back and I passed them to him to take away.

    I booked a table on roof terrace for my twins 13th birthday lunch. The service was good and friendly, the food how ever wasn’t good. I had fish which was too salty and swimming in sauce with a few new potato’s, my girls went for the lobster pasta and burger which was great either and presentation was lacking too. Was disappointed with the food with the price
