   We enjoy the atmosphere and energy at Mercato. There is an interesting menu. Only negative is that the charred peach salad had very few peaches.

   First time here, quite pleased. The service tonight was exceptionally quick! It was a very busy night midweek, we were sat in a hidden corner and I had a thought we may get forgotten throughout the night. Everything we ordered came out nearly immediately. I was impressed for how busy they were. The food was good, the steak ordered medium came out cold and raw however… And we like medium rare steak so it’s not like we’re being picky on the cook of it, it just is what happened. There could’ve been perhaps a smidge more of breathing room between but not super complaining. The staff was lovely though!

   My second time being at Mercato and we absolutely love everything about this place!! We will definitely be coming back! Loved the fillet mignon sandwich Food here is really delicious!

   Definitely make a reservation here because it is a busy place! Ambience was amazing! Fast great service, amazing food and good drinks! Will definitely be going back!

   Our waiter was amazing, recommended dishes to us and they were fabulous! I'm just sorry I can't remember his name! We had amazing drinks, appetizers, meals and dessert. I just wish we didn't live 3 hours away as I'd definitely eat here again.

    Shelton has a bright new star on the dining scene. We recently returned to Shelton after being away for a few months and we were delighted to find that a new Mercato Italian Kitchen had opened here in the Fountain Square shopping complex. What a place! The food is excellent, from the complementary focaccia bread and seasoned olive oil at the start, to the creamy gelato at the finish. In between is an excellent menu featuring pasta, pizza, a huge selection of antipasto starters, and daily specials. Everything we had was truly wonderful. Our server was punctual and unobtrusive, the music is spirited but not annoying and the outdoor seating option will be great in warmer weather. Magnifico! We will be back.
