It took forever to get our meals, almost 30 minutes for hamburger and tuna bowl. Waiter very nice but there was a disconnect between the ordering and meal presentation.

We had a great time with our family. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was great. We sat outside by the ocean and it was beautiful.

I feel as a local the treatment was lacking server did not even offer or serve us Ester coffee which is complementary had to be requested even after cup was empty for 10 minutes. Left table after 15 minutes waiting for cheque. No not busy on a Saturday just noticed how tourist were treated and decided I was done with mercat after this breakfast. Stayed 2 nights at marriot did not go back here to dine. Again as a local tourist you are ok.

Our server was good. The meals were ill ok Odd situation somehow they knew it was our anniversary so they brought over a chocolate cake that we hadn’t ordered on a dish that said Happy Anniverssry. We were a little surprised to have been charged $8 on our bill having never ordered it. Strange?

This was a confused visit, they had issues finding our reservation, then the table was not as we requested, and they attempted to seat us at a nothing table in the very high traffic area of the restaurant. The manager helped us and got us a better table after a bit, still not as requested but improved. They were extremely busy with 2 large parties that kind of took over part of the room, and may have been part of the problem. But that should not have been our problem, as we made the reservation far in advance. The server who cared for us was great, she recognized us from previous visits and did a fine job caring for us. The manager did her best as well to make up for the bad start to this visit and her help was appreciated. We'll be back again, as things happen.. Deb and Bill Schmidt, Wmsburg, VA.

Our experience at Mercat was great, Great service and a nice ambiance. They serviced Lichi Martini this time, and was part of the Brunch, very delicious.
