Neighborhood gem

Independent and family-run, we opened Mele e Pere in the heart of Soho in February 2012.

We are three brothers and a friend who set out on a journey to create a genuine neighbourhood Trattoria reminiscent of the fabulous family-run places of northern Italy, where we all grew up.

You should feel just as comfortable popping in for a glass of home-made vermouth and some sharing plates at the bar as you should taking your time to work through the menu in the dining room.

We cook our seasonal and daily-changing menu with British produce and exceptional Italian ingredients. All of our pasta, desserts and ice-creams are made in our kitchen fresh every day. We have London’s largest selection of Vermouths behind our bar and our exclusively Italian wine list has loads of options for you available by the glass and carafe.

The atmosphere was romantic and quiet, this restaurant was suitable for fine dining or group gatherings. The location was very convenient, where close to the theaters and Piccadilly. We ordered 3 courses from the London Restaurant Festival menu, it was perfect. The starter & main course were delicious, especially the squid with chili & cherry tomato sauce.

The noise level was not the best. a lot of noise from e.g. a very drunken table who sat and sang loudly and shouted. The food was really good and very large portions = value for money.

Really lovely place to go before theatre. Very good value pre theatre meal, excellent bolognaise! Friendly and efficient service. Highly recommend.

Amazing set menu and bubble ! You can’t go wrong. We had a lovely time and really enjoyed our food. Staff may need more training to do the job as I doubt our waiter was ever a waiter before that day , so it was a bit meh service wise but I guess there is always a start. None the less we will defo be back for that pre theatre amazing deal. Thank you
