Good food, many choices. Great service. Not really busy
Simply amazing. The staff, food, everything!!
Good food, good service.
Nice place to grab a quick meal out. Never a disappointment.
Outdoor seating for lunch was wonderful......nice and airy, breeze, bright and sunny. Our server was excellent, and lot's of room between tables.
We had a group of 8 and had a very enjoyable experience.
The patio is a perfect place to spend a beautiful summer day.
Love their salads! Always a great place to meet friends.
Great place to celebrate our anniversary. Great service.
Thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor seating away from the street for a Sunday lunch/brunch. The only disappointment was that they cut back a lot on their former brunch offerings. We would love to see those return.
Great place to eat. We eat there often. Great menu selection.
French Dip Sandwich and beer flight very good. Crab Cake and Iced Tea were not good. Crab Cake was not warm and was mushy with filler and minimal crab. Iced Tea tasted like pot needed cleaning.
We like McKenzie Bree House and hoping it was an off night and would not order to crab cake again.
Our one disappointment was that the meatloaf and pizza were removed from the menu.
I realize you are short staffed. But with two grandkids we had to wait way too long. My fish tacos were slopped on my plate snd almost impossible to pick up. Nachos were an appetizer which took too long to arrive and then our entrees showed. We’ve been coming to mckenzies many years and have been very happy but kind of waiting until you’re fully operational.
We were looking for an affordable dining option for our weekly dinner with the folks and decided to try this place based on good reviews. We were seated promptly for our reservation at our requested type of table. I ordered the Thursday night special which was fajitas and a margarita for $18.95 - a great deal I couldn't pass up. You get a choice of beef, chicken, or both. I chose the steak and was very pleaantly surprised to be asked what temperature I wanted my steak. I had never been asked this for fajitas before and they came out perfectly medium-rare. Others in our party got the ribs, which they loved. My husband had the shrimp and scallop pasta which he also enjoyed. The bill for six peopls was about $100 which we thought was great and there were leftovers with the ribs for lunch. We will go back for sure.
It was good to be our and about and for the most part we enjoyed our time at McKenzies. They’ve changed up their menu and I was sad to see that the steak and endive salad is no longer available. We each had one of their large salads and enjoyed them. Drinks were very good too. Love the pineapple martini and my friends liked the fact that they had a variety of beers on the menu (not just the IPA’s).
The only downfall was the slow service by our waiter. The table next to us had their server coming around quite often but our server neglected our table which was annoying.
It was a busy holiday weekend, so the service was understandably a little slower than one would normally expect, but the food was very good. This was our first visit to this restaurant, and we will certainly be back. My only criticism would be that $11.50 for a glass of wine is a bit steep - but it is mainly a brew house, so there are plenty of beers to choose from instead.
I had the Shrimp and Scallops Scampi with pasta and my wife had the Swordfish salad. Both were excellent.
I listed the purpose of the visit was a birthday. No one acknowledged that reason . The waiter was young and kept on reaching the wrong way to present the food and drinks. He reached across me instead of by my side.
The outdoor patio is the best and is my go to spot! The service is friendly and the happy hour specials are great - bam bam shrimp and lettuce wraps are favorites.
The salads are also delicious and large portions!
We did Mother’s Day at McKenzies. We were the very first seating and the buffet food was all cold. The scrambled eggs had those dark yellow edges, as if they’d been sitting for hours. When we mentioned something to our server, he said that many people had complained about cold food and they would be adding more sturnos.
I understand that the Mother’s Day buffet is not a regular thing for them. But there were some pretty major balls dropped.
We went for brunch on Mother's Day. Food was served as a buffet and was just average in terms of selection and taste. All the servers were very friendly. I would try it again for the regular menu based on location and service.
Poor service. Server never returned to inquire about meal or give drink refills. Waited long for last 2 meals to arrive (6 in party) so first 4 were cold by the time the last 2 were served. Was told when meals arrived they ran out of lettuce and tomatoes for burgers. We weren’t informed ahead of time. No offer to adjust price when we didn’t get what we ordered. We took a friend with our family to dinner and were so unhappy with the experience.
Little bit of a wait, even though we had a reservation. Took awhile for our meal. People around us were also waiting awhile. Food was fine.
Reservations were at 6. Service was awful and we didn't get food until 8pm. Some of the food was missing and some was cold. Our waiter kept apologizing and comping us drinks which was a plus.
My co-worker and I sat at a hi-top table by the bar and the bartender was our waiter. I’d advise to sit somewhere else or right at the bar to get faster service as far as refills go.
Food was really good- just had the spicy firecracker wings and calamari. The Irish red ale was decent although a little lighter that what I’m used to.
Unfortunately I couldn’t rate it 5 stars because a reservation was made five days in advance and there were few tables available in the shade because of the busing of tables. The hostess could have helped her co-workers other than just standing around. I will say the food was very good, served nicely and the waitress was very pleasant and helpful.
good value, nice menu, fun cocktails and 1/2 price appetizers and cocktails before 5PM.
Appetizers were delicious, but our main meals were just so-so. Will go back, nice affordable place to go with huge outdoor deck and bar.
This was a return visit and the food and service were wonderful. Thanks to Will for his follow up and ensuring I had a better experience this time.
The restaurant was empty. We received no acknowledgement that we were there. We flagged down a server and then waited 1 hour for a burger and roast beef sandwich that were tasty but def not worth the horrible service
Seating was very tight and close together with other party’s. Took awhile to get a refill drink, not until after the food came were we checked on.
Sean was a great server. Food was delicious prices were reasonable
Service was slow, and the food I ordered came soggy and just had no flavor. Tables around us were not cleaned underneath after people left. Food on the floors
Food wasn’t good. Very loud drunk next to us ranted about politics. The bartender was very attentive, though. He acted as our waiter. My son ate a roll with butter. A very expensive roll.
We were in the area for a soccer tournament and looking for a local place to have dinner. Great selection and food! Everyone found something they liked!
We enjoy your outdoor space especially during COVID..please keep enough flaps open to ventilate outside
First time back to McKenzie’s since before COVID. Always liked the meals, although my husband was never a fan of their beers. Dinner experience was not good this time. Soup was just ok. The supposed ‘slow roasted’ roast beef was so fatty and chewy that I returned it. In fairness to employees, they were very nice and did refund the cost of the entree. So I had fries for dinner that evening.
Love this place
Always delicious and great customer service
Great night out! Our first in a year. Food and service were great.
It was our son’s 14th bday and the waitress let us sit at a different table from our son and his buddy. They were super polite (the waitress told us), and my hub and I enjoyed ourselves, too!!
Ate outside at McKenzie's on a beautiful Friday afternoon in March. Service was excellent. We were near a heater and asked to turn it off because it was very comfortable on the tented patio. Did not feel crowded at all and the restaurant appears to be complying with Covid restrictions. I enjoyed a raspberry bellini and the Key West salad with salmon which was very good! The fries that I shared with my mom were delicious as well.
