Great place to eat and relax!
Food tasted great but everything came out cold. It took almost 45 mins for the food to arrive after ordering.
Mckenzies is a great restaurant. We eat there twice a week and are never disappointed. The wait staff is excellent and very attentive to our needs.
Service was great as was the food. We will return.
I had reserved a table "outside" - the hostess wanted to be sure we really wanted outside - we said "yes". She was gracious enough to take us outside, then when we said "too hot", she nicely brought us back inside. She was absolutely right - too hot outside.....and we had a wonderful lunch inside.
It took close to one hour for the food to come out. The salad was not brought out as an appetizer. The waiter was good. The food was terrible.
Waited 45 minutes before the appetizers even came out. Then finally the dinners came out only 3 of 4. It took another 10 min for the last dinner to come out. First and last time going here, it was awful, food and service!
Our waitress was outstanding. I don’t recall her name.
Had a really great meal with friends. We had requested outdoor seating with the reservation, but with the extreme humidity and chance of storms, we asked for indoor instead when we arrived and they were very accommodating. We sat for awhile and the server was very attentive and understanding and checked in with us frequently. Nachos were really good and the junior burgers were just the right size for all of us. The sweet potato fries were a little overcooked, but still not bad. We will be back!
Food was amazing as always. Our server was unkempt, Inexperienced, inattentive, not well trained and no hustle. It was pretty clear he did not want to be there. The restaurant was not crowded so being busy was not an excuse. The people who delivered our food did so with professionalism and a smile. When our server brought an incorrect appetizer item which we specifically ordered for a vegan diner and it came with chicken vs cauliflower, he told us we were mistaken. We asked to remake the proper way. It arrived well after our meals had arrived. No apology. We love McKenzies and will continue to dine there, but our experience last night was disappointing.
Our server was Amanda and she was so nice and very attentive. We got to sit outside despite the rainstorm because McKenzie’s has one of the best outside areas for dining.
Salmon asparagus salad was excellent -
Husband liked Cobb salad too-
Changed their onion rings / not as good as they used to serve ..
Waitress was great
In house brewery with seasonal selections. Odd mix of food from Buddha bowls to salads to burgers. Air conditioning was either not working or too weak so it was uncomfortably hot
The kitchen appeared to be understaffed. The roll on my Brats sandwich had to be sitting for awhile as the hard roll was soggy and fell apart. The BBQ sauce was either on to long or to much. The lettecue wraps were prepapered, and again fell apart from the saucr. It was either sat to long or to much. The Beer and the burger, the wings and the calamari were good.
Our party of 4 enjoyed our first visit to McKenzie Brew House this past Saturday night. The food was very good, and they cooked our steak and salmon just as we asked. They give you plenty of food as they don't seem to "skimp" on food and value like more and more restaurants are doing these days. They don't overload and give you enough to take home for a second meal either. They have a nice mix of food types/cooking styles. The drink were done well with a great selection too. We sat inside but took a peak at the outside spacious patio which was nice. There were have a private party downstairs, as this place is very spacious. We'll be back!
Food & drinks were good, but horrendous service. I had reservations for a large party, the server appeared to be intoxicated or on something. Couldn't read her own handwriting, was slow, and whispered when she spoke. The bar staff ended up servicing our table after 2 hours.
We booked this sight unseen for a party of 8. The restaurant was fine on the inside and the hostess staff was welcoming. Part of our party had come early and done happy hour/paid. We joined and no one came. We had to ask for a server after about 20 minutes. The server was on his second day and did spill a tray of water glasses on one of my companions. We then put in our order for 4 appetizers and 8 entrees. We received only 2 of the 4 appetizers 30 minutes later. We received 7 out 8 entrees after another 30 minutes The last entree came out 15 minutes after that. It was a hamburger. The server was out of his element and should not have taken a table of this size on his own. We liked the food.
Good food, many choices. Great service. Not really busy
Simply amazing. The staff, food, everything!!
Good food, good service.
Nice place to grab a quick meal out. Never a disappointment.
Outdoor seating for lunch was wonderful......nice and airy, breeze, bright and sunny. Our server was excellent, and lot's of room between tables.
We had a group of 8 and had a very enjoyable experience.
The patio is a perfect place to spend a beautiful summer day.
Love their salads! Always a great place to meet friends.
Great place to celebrate our anniversary. Great service.
Thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor seating away from the street for a Sunday lunch/brunch. The only disappointment was that they cut back a lot on their former brunch offerings. We would love to see those return.
Great place to eat. We eat there often. Great menu selection.
French Dip Sandwich and beer flight very good. Crab Cake and Iced Tea were not good. Crab Cake was not warm and was mushy with filler and minimal crab. Iced Tea tasted like pot needed cleaning.
We like McKenzie Bree House and hoping it was an off night and would not order to crab cake again.
Our one disappointment was that the meatloaf and pizza were removed from the menu.
I realize you are short staffed. But with two grandkids we had to wait way too long. My fish tacos were slopped on my plate snd almost impossible to pick up. Nachos were an appetizer which took too long to arrive and then our entrees showed. We’ve been coming to mckenzies many years and have been very happy but kind of waiting until you’re fully operational.
We were looking for an affordable dining option for our weekly dinner with the folks and decided to try this place based on good reviews. We were seated promptly for our reservation at our requested type of table. I ordered the Thursday night special which was fajitas and a margarita for $18.95 - a great deal I couldn't pass up. You get a choice of beef, chicken, or both. I chose the steak and was very pleaantly surprised to be asked what temperature I wanted my steak. I had never been asked this for fajitas before and they came out perfectly medium-rare. Others in our party got the ribs, which they loved. My husband had the shrimp and scallop pasta which he also enjoyed. The bill for six peopls was about $100 which we thought was great and there were leftovers with the ribs for lunch. We will go back for sure.
It was good to be our and about and for the most part we enjoyed our time at McKenzies. They’ve changed up their menu and I was sad to see that the steak and endive salad is no longer available. We each had one of their large salads and enjoyed them. Drinks were very good too. Love the pineapple martini and my friends liked the fact that they had a variety of beers on the menu (not just the IPA’s).
The only downfall was the slow service by our waiter. The table next to us had their server coming around quite often but our server neglected our table which was annoying.
It was a busy holiday weekend, so the service was understandably a little slower than one would normally expect, but the food was very good. This was our first visit to this restaurant, and we will certainly be back. My only criticism would be that $11.50 for a glass of wine is a bit steep - but it is mainly a brew house, so there are plenty of beers to choose from instead.
I had the Shrimp and Scallops Scampi with pasta and my wife had the Swordfish salad. Both were excellent.
I listed the purpose of the visit was a birthday. No one acknowledged that reason . The waiter was young and kept on reaching the wrong way to present the food and drinks. He reached across me instead of by my side.
The outdoor patio is the best and is my go to spot! The service is friendly and the happy hour specials are great - bam bam shrimp and lettuce wraps are favorites.
The salads are also delicious and large portions!
We did Mother’s Day at McKenzies. We were the very first seating and the buffet food was all cold. The scrambled eggs had those dark yellow edges, as if they’d been sitting for hours. When we mentioned something to our server, he said that many people had complained about cold food and they would be adding more sturnos.
I understand that the Mother’s Day buffet is not a regular thing for them. But there were some pretty major balls dropped.
We went for brunch on Mother's Day. Food was served as a buffet and was just average in terms of selection and taste. All the servers were very friendly. I would try it again for the regular menu based on location and service.
Poor service. Server never returned to inquire about meal or give drink refills. Waited long for last 2 meals to arrive (6 in party) so first 4 were cold by the time the last 2 were served. Was told when meals arrived they ran out of lettuce and tomatoes for burgers. We weren’t informed ahead of time. No offer to adjust price when we didn’t get what we ordered. We took a friend with our family to dinner and were so unhappy with the experience.
Little bit of a wait, even though we had a reservation. Took awhile for our meal. People around us were also waiting awhile. Food was fine.
