We had an all around excellent time at M & S. The server was super nice…attentive without being intrusive, and gave us plenty of time to order our courses at our own pace. The menu has a huge variety of choices and I chose a mixed salad with blue cheese and candied pecans that was delicious, followed by the cod served over udon noodles which was perfectly cooked and so tasty. My dinner companions had shrimp cocktail and oysters to start, which they loved, followed by the ahi tuna (which was gorgeous) for one and a filet for the other. We all loved our food. A lovely meal.

This was the worst experience that I have ever had at this restaurant period my sister and I came for a quick Sunday meal and everything started out okay period my sister ordered the shrimp scampi a Greek salad and a Margarita period I ordered the buttermilk for a shrimp, Caesar salad and a Margarita. So the drinks came out fine, and the salads came, but only my entry was brought out. At that point, the waiter seemed to disappear. When he finally showed up, I was almost done with my meal. We asked about my sister's entree but he told us that she did not order one. I guess he thought we were both crazy because I was sitting there when she ordered her entree first, followed by her salad. To say the experience was very lackluster and disappointing considering I come to this location frequently with business associates and relatives that fly into O'Hare airport is an understatement. My sister even whispered across the table to ask me if they had a problem serving people of color at this restaurant. That absolutely broke my heart that in 2023, my sister felt like we were receiving shotty service based on our skin color. To add insult to injury, he had the audacity. To bring me a bill with items on it, we did not order. At this point, I got up to find him to get this corrected. The manager came out with the corrected bill and apologized for the error but said nothing about the late entree or the poor service. The amazing part is that a party of 20 individuals of a different skin color who were seated. After we arrived, we're catered to as if they were the Royal family. I've been coming here for a lot of years and have never had a problem until yesterday. With the experience from yesterday, I will just take this restaurant out of the rotation of where I take my business associates and family for meals. Especially since my sister felt slighted in the way she was treated. My advice is simply to do better.

Bacon wrapped scallops so salty they were inedible. 3 scallops 45 bucks. Not a great deal. Also charged 5 dollars extra for steame spinach. Don’t think I would ever go back

Had a business lunch there on a Sunday so it was super quiet. Wait-staff was appropriately attentive and professional. Food was tasty, had a steak and wedge salad. Best parking is in the Loews hotel parking garage right by the restaurant. M&S validated my ticket so parking was $5.

This was a perfect dinner. I appreciate the manager recognizing us as not only as Landry Select customers, but frequent guests as well. Everything was prepared perfectly at the right temperature and served in a timely manner without feeling rushed. It was great.

This location is perfect for those looking for an excellent dining experience near O’Hare International airport. We were there for lunch. The food and service were excellent. The ladies restroom was clean. Melinda, the bartender was on point with the libations!

It's always nice to visit McCormick and Schmick's the night before heading home to San Diego. With the Loews literally next door, it is also very convenient. We enjoyed oysters, sea bass and beers at the bar Saturday - all excellent. Toby's service and friendliness was a real bonus. Thanks for a great evening.

Went here for a celebration dinner after my graduation on June 30th and the service was horrible. We waited 30 minutes for a server to come and introduce themselves, another 30 minutes to get drink orders taken, almost an hour to get drinks and even longer for food. The server was not checking on our table, but kept checking on the table next to us. We even had to go to the hostess because this was affecting the parking validation. This restaurant is not equipped to handle large groups for celebrations. The food was fine once we got it. I had to apologize to my guests several times, as no one from the restaurant apologized for the lack of service.

There was a screening child that would scream every 5 min. This party was seated right next to our table and the child continued to scream throughout our dinner. This party should have been asked by management to move to a place where this child was not ruining the dining experience for the whole establishment. The parent of this child should have had the common curiosity to do something about their screaming child. This would behavior would have been acceptable for a McDonald’s, not in a nice restaurant. Our parking was validated but we were still charged $5.00 for a max of 4 hours. Every other restaurant in the Rosemont area validates for FREE parking.

It has been a couple years since we have been here, so tried it again. Had reservation for 6PM for 5 for a birthday celebration. Was seated at 6:50 and stood jammed in the entrance with a bunch of other people with an 89 old mother in-law. Turns out they mark you as "arrived" and you go on the list. Since we had 5, only a few tables could accommodate us. Three of us had Sea Bass which was overcooked and dry. The Oysters appetizers were good and our waiter did a good job. Overall will not be returning due to reservations being meaningless and so-so food for a premium price.

It was mediocre for a celebratory evening. We waited for our drinks through salad, waitress/bar wasn’t willing to offer a small tasting of a wine when they only offered 3 white wines by glass, and nothing special for the price. Honestly, when you pay with tip $170.00+ for two people (no appetizers, shared salad and one glass of wine each) and you can make something comparable at home…I wouldn’t go back. I was thinking it would be special for my Mom before a big night ahead…it wasn’t. Sadly, average at best.

To say, I am disappointed on my 3rd visit to M&S is an understatement. The 1st time we visited this restaurant 10 months ago, there was lack of attentive service, no water, refill, and no bread service even though other tables around us were served bread. Our next visit last month was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the attentive and engaging service from Joe and delicious food. Our last visit on Friday was a fiasco. Reservations were backed up as we all waited in the lobby or bar area. We had a show to get to and finally with an hour left to spare, a couple woman asked if we wanted to share a table with them. We were promptly seated. Apparently couples were an issue, but bigger tables were not. I kept pointing out that there were empty 4-top tables and booths to no avail. Once we were seated with the women, our server was great. You could see she was slammed, but brought water and bread right away and made sure we were out with 10 minutes to spare to get to the theater. However, my husband he did not enjoy his ribeye nor the mashed potatoes. I always order the charred octopus appetizer because, if you read my two previous reviews, it's the best I've ever had. I was so looking forward to eating it again because I love it. On this visit, however, the octopus was rubbery and hard to chew. It had an odor to it as well, so I stopped eating it. I ordered a Caesar salad to go along with the octopus and it was so basic, something I'd get an a diner instead of a fine dining restaurant. Their other salads are better so I was surprised. With M&S not honoring our reservation in a timely manner and the quality of food served, we will not be back. I'm so sad because the restaurant aesthetically is beautiful and it's in walking distance to the Rosemont Theater where we attend shows. But the inconsistency of this restaurant within our three visits in less than a year is not something I want to deal with anymore. I don't want to roll the dice and take my chances.

Food was excellent. Enjoyed the king salmon in particular. The restaurant seems very understaffed which hopefully explains the slow service. We weren’t in a rush so it didn’t matter and we enjoyed a leisurely dinner.

3 hours for a dinner? Had a reservation at 5:45pm, did not sit until about 6:15pm. Waiter gave us water then came back after about 15 minutes to get our drinks order and appetizer. Took another 15 minutes to get our drinks and a few more minutes to get our appetizer. Waited another 20 minutes for the waiter to get our entree orders. Then almost 30 minutes or more to get our food and part of my order was late which was served after I have finished the other half. Did not see waiter for awhile and when he came, we asked for more drinks and a few more minutes, nothing came so when he pass by we asked him again and then he remembered. In all of this, nothing in the food we ordered tasted good, my son even joked that red lobster is better. And of course, this is not a cheap restaurant so after all these, have to pay a hefty bill. Definitely not worth it and we’ll definitely not going to return.

The food was great. My steak was cooked perfectly and was super tender. All of the sides were excellent as well. Shout out to the valet who let us keep our car in the valet while we walked over to Rosemont Theater for a show and kept it for us until we got back. He was tipped well. :)

Some tables had VIP signs. Is this really necessary? Aren’t ALL patrons VIP ‘s. I felt insulted. We purchased a 100.00 gift certificate ( Mother’s Day special) to help pay for our meal. We did this to acquire an extra $20. Free. After we paid and printed the certificates we noted that we couldn’t use the $20. One until July. We live 150 miles from this restaurant so by not using it with yesterdays meal it will be expired before we can make it back there again. We are in our upper 70’s. Not easy to drive Chicago traffic!
