Seafood
Fresh fish is always on the menu. Many of our species are flown in daily from the pristine waters of the Pacific Ocean. Our team in Hawaii chooses from the catch at the Honolulu Fish Auction and overnight them to our restaurants - it's never frozen! Tender steaks and fresh produce from local farms are featured and named on the menu daily - and our craft cocktails are popular every day of the week. Please ask about our signature oysters, Johnny Shucks and Cali Kumu - they are carefully grown then harvested from private oyster beds exclusive to M&S.

Waiter was slow to take our order and balked at friend’s request for gluten free on Restaurant Week menu even though I had called ahead and been told no problem. Also there were no parking validation tickets left as we were leaving so your staff had to walk us over to the hotel to get one.

We had a group of 5 with 6:00 reservation on a Saturday. We were seated immediately but our table was in the middle of a walkway. The waiters carried other tables' orders over our heads and repeatedly warned us to not push back.
The service started out fine with drink and appetizer order and dinner order being taken at a nice pace. Drinks and appetizer arrived timely but then the main course was a long time coming. We ordered dessert and, again, that was a long wait.
The group's feedback about the food is mixed. The filet was well cooked at rare. The NY Strip ordered medium rare was overcooked with some grizzle at one end and the accompanying roasted vegetables were not warm. The sea bass tasted great but, again, the dish was not served hot. The filet medallions were nicely done. The salmon with bourbon glaze was dry. Like I said, very mixed reviews from the group.
As for desserts - the raspberry sorbet was not cold and quite soupy/melted; the upside down apple pie al a mode was enjoyed, and my wife ate most of the key lime pie we were supposed to share.
I was disappointed considering my prior experiences with M&S have been excellent.

The waiter forgot some of our food. The portion were too small and they were way over priced. Then at the end of our meal the waiter attempted to sell us on Landry rewards card and kept forcing this product after we told him we were not interested.

This place was old fashion nice, I prefer downtown but for the Rosemont area it was upscale and nice but not my kind of place.
The waiter Angel talked really fast and it felt like he was a radio announcer. The food was ok, steak was done really well though so there was that.
All in all it was an ok experience, but would probably get a better or similar experience at LongHorn

We stopped in Sunday for lunch, on our way to the PBR event at Allstate Arena. To kick things off I ordered fresh oysters from their featured list -- as a fan of raw oysters I can tell when they're past their prime. These were fresh and firm, great flavors and the sauces provided hit the mark. My wife had a petit filet and my main was the King Salmon from the small plates menu. It came resting on top of a melange of bean, asparagus and mushroom alongside a butter reduction. I love King Salmon so this was a treat and again the quality and freshness of the ingredient was there. The fish was right on the edge of being a little over but still flavorful and moist on the inside.

Service was great. The restaurant was not busy.

On a street populated with steak houses is great to know there's a solid option that offers a high quality seafood experience.

Service awful, 30 minute wait for bread. No one liked their food. I had crab stuffed shrimp, couldn’t taste any crab, just bread. Free valet only plus.

New Year’s Eve, but still, it was only 5 pm. Asked for a table, there were plenty, but they gave us a small booth set for 4. Never removed the extra place settings until we piled them up to make more room. Salad good. Lobster bisque had a big pool of melted butter or oil on top. Tasted ok, but poor presentation. Entrees were very salty. Scallops still had grit, not cleaned properly. Second round of drinks ordered when entree presented didn’t come until almost the bill. Server not so cordial. We’re usually pretty lenient, but this was underwhelming. Not so excited to try again. Happy New Year!

Things did not go well this visit despite having a reservation well in advance to celebrate the holidays. My salad was not made the way I requested and my friends salad had to be remade because they added something she requested not to be.
Also the restaurant needs to stock almond milk or coconut milk for coffee for those of us who cannot have dairy!!! And why do they not have gluten free bread??!! Almost every restaurant does these days!
Disappointing!

Everything we ok, they didn't have enough staff we could not find our waiter when we need thing and he forgot thing. We have 7:15pm reservations and didn't get a table until 7:35pm. They ran out of lobster because they didn't order enough food. My salmon was alittle overdone and my son steak was burn on the outside but was pink on the inside he didn't care for it. I would try it again to see if it is better.

I cannot describe this dining experience with any other adjectives than extremely disappointing. I am hard-pressed to think of a more slip-shod and careless service experience. To start off with I indicated in my reservation we would need a table suitable for a wheelchair and after waiting until 7:30 to be shown to our 7pm table (and watching others who checked in after us be seated first) we were brought to a booth where the hostess was surprised to learn my 84 year old mother could not rise out of her wheelchair and slide into a wooden booth. More waiting. Then literally being shouted information at by a server as he sailed past the table, who laughed and kept going when he asked how my husband liked the soup he served him (after his first choice of soup was unavailable) and we said he didn’t like it. When he had the decency to stop by the table he tossed things diagonally from the other side to me - both food and utensils. The first time in a 3 course meal that the server finally came to my side of the table was when he brought my entree - only because he had already brought everyone else’s first. He didn’t alert us of items that were out of stock for the night until after we had made up our minds and were trying to order. Our table was close to the kitchen so the waiter would just bring out two items at a time instead of delivering everything at once using a tray. My entree was later than my guests’. And then one of our entrees was so tough it had to be sent back and the replacement took almost 30 minutes. So we literally ate dinner in rounds because no one ended up with a decent steak at the same time as everyone else. Dirty dishes from previous courses remained on the table throughout our meal. There was more than this; I’m just giving the things off the top of my head. This was worse than diner level service at a high end steakhouse for $250. This was our fourth Christmas Day at McCormick & Schmick’s and I’m going to say it will also be our last.

We came in for our holiday dinner on Christmas. When we sat down the restaurant was anything but busy. It did pick up over the course of the meal, but the slow and cold service was consistent throughout. It was a mediocre experience, with mediocre food - all for a hefty price tag. We will not be back.

The problem I have with this restaurant is that the menu doesn't change very often, just the same items over and over. We come here only once a year for that reason, too dull

When we arrived to our table, we told our waiter we were in a little bit of a hurry as we had to make a show at 8 pm. He assured us that that would not be a problem. He apologized when our drinks and appetizers both took a long time to arrive. When the dinner finally arrived (less than 30 mins before we had to leave), the food was not piping hot and shrimp seemed dried out. The waiter assured us that he could bring the dessert quickly and he did and it was delicious but we still had only about 5 mins to eat it before we had to rush out. When my husband looked at he bill, he was surprised that we had been charged for the dessert given that the meal had been so late. We literally had to rush eating our dinners and the dessert instead of savoring them. We were very disappointed as the meal was expensive and we felt that we could not enjoy the celebratory dinner or dessert as we were anxious about getting our food in time to make the show.

our waiter Miguel touched us when he was taking our orders...not inappropriately but had his hands on our shoulders...also, he was hard to understand....he also was very pushy at the end with the diners club card or whatever your program is...thought that was unprofessional to push this at the table --our booth was extremely close to the next table ...barely any room and the restaurant was half empty at 5:00 on a weeknight....the side of mushrooms were out of a jar and heated up ….they were not fresh...the amount of money spent was not a good value for what was served

kitchen was running behind, not enough help - we had to take our dessert with us and waited until the last minute for it - we were going to show at Rosemont Theater. That was very disappointing. This was not the fault of our wait staff - they were very good - it was the kitchen. Also, we were in the bar and it was freezing there. Had to leave coat on the whole time and still cold.
