McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Baltimore
Book your next event with us
Our son has several, severe food allergies so finding a restaurant that can accommodate him can be challenging. We called ahead to discuss options for him on his birthday and Ellie, the GM, made it clear that they are a scratch kitchen and they have protocols to keep him safe. They went to great lengths to make him feel special on his birthday. The food was perfect and just as promised. The chef, Derek, hand delivered his food separately. Brooks gave amazing service. We were so impressed and will absolutely be back and telling our friends. Thank you all so much!
Long wait for table, long wait for food, calamari starter not available, server not great, food ok
We Had reservations for 730 we were seated properly. We finally got our food at 8:45. We are considered leaving and when I asked the waitress how much longer she said She would check with the kitchen. The food came about five minutes after that. I had the steak and crab cake with the vegetable. The waitress told me the vegetable was spinach and mushrooms. I received asparagus which I would’ve actually preferred. However it was mushy like it was out of a can.The steak was cool barely warm and the asparagus was cold. The crabcakes were OK. My guest had The Seabass which is also cold. The server only came back when it was time for the check never asked how it was working with any problems. Actually I’m glad she didn’t because I can’t send food back and have it re-fired. Those are my own OCD issues.I can almost guarantee I will never go back which was sad because I was really looking forward to eating at that restaurant. We stayed at the Pier 5 and the restaurant was attached to the hotel. Just say I was disappointed is an understatement
Not great... Dry overcooked salmon w/ some bland grits & sour tasting tomato sauce. It wasn't what I ordered.
Overall a pleasant experience, but very overpriced. Would only go back if we had another gift card. Felt that the food quality was the same I could get at the Cheesecake Factory down the street for half the price.
A party of 10–McCormick and Schmick’s made us feel extra special. Everything from the delicious food to the outstanding service was thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you for taking such good care of us!
Food was amazing and the view over the Inner Harbor was breath taking.
The food was very good, and the service was impeccable! We’ll be back!! :-)
Helped to make a great Birthday Day for my wife.
Great food and attentive, friendly service. The lobster bisque was extremely flavorful with a generous amount of chunks of lobster meat. Shrimp kisses were cooked perfectly and delicious. Fish and chips was a good portion and very good. We will definitely return.
My husband and I wanted to take my mother in law somewhere different and special for her birthday. We live in Harrisburg pa and inner harbor is not a long drive. We decided we wanted to go somewhere we have never been before. They exceeded our expectations and the service was wonderful! We will be back
They had 3 chefs call out due to the Ravens playoff game. Food was wonderful, but took a LONG time to get due to staffing in the kitchen. Exec. Chef Montanez came out to apologize twice. We appreciated that. We'll be back because the food was great!
The menu selection for Restaurant week 2020 was amazing and absolutely delicious!
It was okay. Once the wait staff connected with us, he was attentive.
Great place to dine with family and fire. O would go back there again.
Went with a small group for prix fixe New Year’s Eve dinner. Great setting since harbor and fireworks were just outside the door. Food was pretty good for a packaged menu.... better than in our past experiences here. Service was good but a little distracted by the craziness of the night. As we were finishing our deserts after the fireworks staff started slamming piles of dishes just over the partition from our table which they had crammed into a corner. Deafening and pretty much drove us out.
Overall a nice experience due to the setting, but our table location and the rush of the staff to get out was a problem. Package price was high enough that we lost some members of our group but was competitive with other harbor settings.
We went for New Years Eve dinner. Even though we made a late reservation, they were able to accommodate us a window table to see the awesone midnight fireworks. Service was extremely slow. 30 minutes after we had ordered lobster bisque we were told they were out of it. The replacement Cesar salad was more a vinegar soaked salad. The entrees were about average. Desserts were really good. Overall disappointed for the low value offered. We did enjoy the ambience and the Inner Harbor fireworks
The location and ambiance of this restaurant is what attracted me to make a reservation for my family but food quality was also a prime reason. We were really in this for a complete fine dining experience, especially since it was New Year's Eve. What really pulled down my rating is the poor service we experienced from staff. Our waiter was initially accompanied by a gal who filled our water glasses and I thought they might both be taking care of us--she never came back to our table. We had to ask our waiter, I believe his name was Tom, for everything and he did not take initiative to clear plates until we had ordered dessert. The slow service almost made us late for seeing the fireworks but, thankfully, we managed to get out of there in time. I am also disappointed that no one from management came around to ask about our dining experience--so we could have given the restaurant constructive feedback immediately.
Went for NYE with hubs and had reservations. Must have had the absolute worst server in the place. 25 minutes for water to be brought to the table, only after we grabbed another waitress to ask for it. Had to go to the manager TWICE to ask for our courses (waited an hour for soup and salad then another hour for the mains).
Ordered one glass of wine and one beer - sadly not joking here - they arrived 2.5 hours later and were served with dessert. (After NUMEROUS inquiries and requests and begging for them every time we saw our waiter.) He was appropriately embarrassed each time but sadly that only made him more nervous I guess because when he was clearing plates he spilled several on my coat which draped over a spare chair at the table. At least he brought a few napkins over for me to clean my own coat.
Hubs was beyond livid with rage mounting through the night but I was just trying to keep the mood light bc it was NYE. I thought - surely they’ll comp us at least the drinks or something. Nope. Nothing at all.
Longest dinner for two in the history of food service. In total, just under 3 hours for soup, salad, steak, shrimp scampi, two slices of cake oh and a glass of wine and a pint of beer.
Never, ever, never again.
This was my 2nd time visiting but the previous time was 10 years ago, unfortunately a lot has changed for the worse. The food was okay, I had the stuffed salmon and my husband ordered the rib eye. Neither dish was better than in-home cooking, the cocktail menu was very limited, although the wine options were plentiful. Service was delayed, it took 30 mins to receive our check (after requesting it). Not to mention the decor is outdated. I would not recommend as an option foodies.
Paid almost $300 for New Year Dinner and the food was bad... the lobster bisque was so salty, the ceasar salad dressing was so sour, the filet mignon was overcooked and dry and lastly the cake was old and dry.
Menu was limited because of the holiday but food was excellent.
I had a party of 5 and was disappointed that regular menu was not available only $75 and $99 choice of
dinner. The quality of the dinner was at best a 2 on a scale of 10. I would not return to the restaurant of
recommend it. For a cost of $470 I felt I got ripped off.
Me an my guest loved Iran yes we will be back😊.service was excellent, food was great.
It’s was my girlfriend birthday dinner best service we ever had food was great memories where made to finish off 2019
Overpriced for the amount of food received service was ok, but expected better at a “high end” restaurant. Not easy to hold a conversation as the restaurant was quite noisy. Not sure I will be returning.
The seafood plate contained a good variety. However, the salmon was over cooked. You use too much salt;
the lobster bisque was so salty that I only ate 1/2 cup. I would not recommend your soups.
Enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Alex the server was great. Will definitely return soon.
M&S is always excellent. One of the best venues in Baltimore.
Open for Christmas, enough said!
Great service from Jaquan and delicious food, but a little pricy, especially for lunch.
Our reservation was at 630, we were seated and had our drinks and appetizer by 7. We were not rushed and felt very comfortable. The employees were very friendly and made sure our experience was a great experience!
Had a great evening. It was quiet and server was super attentive. I would defiantly recommend for a date or a quiet gathering.
Absolutely love this restaurant. Have heard so much about it but now having experienced for myself I understand what the hype is all about. I ordered the stuffed salmon...absolutely delish. And I contemplated ordering a bowl of lobster bisque to go!! The steak was flavorful and tender..even the mashed potatoes were perfect. They even provided a birthday dessert for my dining partner! Will definitely dine here again!!
The food was very good, especially the lobster bisque. However, my bread plate and some of the flatware was dirty to the point that I could see dried food on it. A little quality control on the table setting would go a long way.
We went for my son's graduation celebration, he was happy therefore it was a success. Service always makes a difference, oysters were delicious and everyone reported their food was outstanding.
Great ambiance for our dining experience. The service was excellent and food was outstanding.
The food was excellent. The restaurant was busy, and we had a large party, so we ended up right in the middle with very little room, as there were tables on either side of us. Overall, a great experience.
Service was very slow. Food was ok not memorable.
Great for birthday celebration and couples evening.
