Mccormick's Seafood Trio
grilled shrimp, stuffed shrimp, grilled salmon
Pickled Green Beans
Lobster Mashed Potatoes
Beautiful setting on water in Portland. Wait staff was attentive, friendly and efficient. Steelhead trout and veggies were tasty but slightly over cooked. Caesar salad was a touch above average with Parmesan crisps in addition to garlic croutons and shaved cheese. Rolls were soft, warm and buttery/greasy to the touch.
Tasted good but messy.
The location is wonderful, the wine, beer and cocktail choices extensive and the food is good or better - consistent.
While the food quality isn’t much higher than a Red Lobster, the locations and view are nice. Hard to recommend though
Always fresh with a gorgeous view of the willemite river . Service good depending on how busy they are. The food is diffently the best seafood on the waterfront. McCormics and Schmidt’s is a mainstay in Portland Oregon.
The stuffed salmon continues to be excellent. The shrimp salad was refreshing and tasty. They accommodated a large group easily.
Fresh Halibut (prepared superbly), mash potatoes, green beens, and a perfectly made dirty Titos martini. Great friendly service. Thank you
We came for my husband birthday dinner. The food was amazing!!! Great service.
Service was excellent. Very helpful when trying to decide what to eat and drink.
Food was delicious, service was ok. Not very friendly
the salad and herb chicken was very nice. The medium and well done were cooked exactly the same ~~ brown all the way though; the fries did not taste fresh/freshly cooked, they were stiff and dry. The onion and tomato for the burgers were fresh and tasty.
Had a nice dinner out for our last day in Portland. Wife had lobster and I had an oyster on the half shell and blue Cobia broiled. Food was excellent and priced well.
Dated decor, overpriced food. Service was great but this needs a refresh.
They have a great happy hour. Food is good food, service.
The menu read better than the meal. Overcooked, overrated, and overpriced.
Outstanding service at this steak and seafood restaurant. Food was very good. View of the river was great. Overall highly recommend.
We had a good dinner but the service was slow, restaurant seemed a little messy and dirty and the host ignored me talking to him to angrily stare down my two year old daughter as she ran up the stairs. The fish was actually really delicious and fresh tasting but over cooked.
Great time and food!
Wonderful attentive and friendly service from Amber yesterday. Cedar Plank Salmon excellent, ribeye was excellent, our apple walnut dessert with cinnamon ice cream was amazing, we appreciated Amber telling us it was made in house. We were a little bit disappointed with our cosmos, we tend to like a bit more cranberry flavor in it, but it was not bad, just not our taste.
Great view, friendly staff, excellent food! Our new date night favorite
Hostess with a bad attitude
Been at M/S many many times; always a pleasure; great food and gorgeous location. We (Catherine, Charmaine, Cameron) ❤️ all the long-term peeps there specifically Manny, Karen, Scott (GM); just so fun and wonderful.🥰
I took my boyfriend out for a birthday dinner and it got off to a rocky start. I made a reservation online for 8:00pm but it turns out that’s when they close? We almost left because we assumed it was an Open Table error. Then they told us that the restaurant actually closes at 10pm but they stop taking *reservations* at 8. This was super confusing and we felt awkward staying, but they told us we were ok to stay because of our reservation. When I made the reservation online, it said it was for patio seating but it turns out that even with a reservation, there was a waitlist for the patio. Naturally, since the restaurant was “closed,” most of the popular dishes we planned to order weren’t available. The food we ordered was good and our waitress was very kind, so she helped us make the best of it. It would’ve been helpful to know all of this information beforehand because it put a bit of a damper on the celebration. The view was beautiful, but I don’t think we plan to return.
casual early evening fine dining with elegance of style, ambiance complementary to chef’s choice food selections, pleasantly calm and refreshing setting accompanied by cooling breeze on a post Memorial Day midweek day heat wave, made for a restful renewing repast of delightful seafood cuisine as typically expected of Mc&Schmick’s usual fare, especially in uncrowded environs affording unhurried enjoyment beside peaceful harbor side waters at the marina • a more than satisfying experience of mindful eating savory to the palate and conducive even to personal reflection in solitude or shared conversation — kudos to service staff, et al.
Very early post pandemic. Hopefully they'll get it back to pre pandemic levels.
Always good food and service at this McCormack & Schmick restaurant.
We arrived for lunch at noon when they opened and they were already out of swordfish and halibut they’re two main fishes. It has really gone downhill.
Gust ok view is pretty oysters great cooked food okay
Have always enjoyed going here. Due to the pandemic, it seemed like they were just reopening and were not expecting as many people to come as happened. They were out of two seafood items on the menu we were hoping to have (halibut and swordfish) and there was a large window with a massive crack in it that distracted from the normally pleasant view. With time and practice, I hope they will have a chance to return to their top tier self again.
This was a great experience for us. The staff was outstanding. The food and drinks were wonderful. We had a fantastic time.
Took my husband there for our anniversary, he loved it.
Love the view The restaurant is a very relaxing place to have dinner and talk with friends
Excellent food and service! Brettin was so helpful and attentive. She made our dinner a great experience! Had a table by the window so we could watch the marina and the river. Great choice for dinner on a Sunday evening!
Salmon was outstanding! Service perfect, view-lovely!
A belated outside birthday meal on the Portland waterfront. The staff was excellent and the food wonderfully prepared.
Always delivers on a good meal, great view and nice staff!
The food was delicious. Our server took excellent care of us. The televisions showing sports became a bit distracting.
It's Covid. Only the bar section is open. I get it. Our reservation was honored at the correct time, but only at the bar section. The bar section wasn't my first choice, but I understood the constraints,. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time.
The downside was the server. Probably not his fault, considering the difficulty of hiring experienced persons right now. I believe it's a product of training.
He was earnest, but inexperienced. We ordered mussels, but he didn't get it that we would need a shell dish or a seafood fork. (Yes, at the prices you're charging, this should not be an issue.) He was stretched way too far in terms of tables he was supposed to serve.
Things are loosening up now in Portland in terms of how many patrons can be served. We have hundreds of unused Landry points. The good news is that the manager was able to help the server negotiate the complex system of Landry points when settling our bill.
( During the worst of the pandemic, we purposely didn't use points for for meals. We think it's important to support local restaurants with cash.....)
Our bill was $35.00, before tip, for 2 appetizers: Mussels and ahi tuna. With bread, it was sufficient for 2 ladies. Of course we tipped on the total, not the adjusted amount based on my point reduction.. You should do the same.
To summarize; YES the Harbourside is worth visiting. The views of the river and the food are wonderful. Don't expect the same same service you experienced pre-Covid, but I believe it will come back! Their fresh fish daily menu is the best!
We have eaten there several times. Always a great experience. I don't know what happened this past weekend. The food, even items we have had many times were subpar. The fish was dry and pretty tasteless. We had a bug in our water and one fork was dirty. It was really hard to believe the restaurant was even the same place. I understand they may be short staffed or the pandemic has created problems. But the food should not taste bad and the place be unclean. The server was great. Normally, I would highly recommend this restaurant. Now, I would say wait a bit until things calm down and give it another try when the standards are higher.
Service was terrible at first...we changed seats and then had great service. Our meals (seafood) was very good. Price reasonable for area.
I had pretty low expectations but we wanted to eat on the waterfront. The food was terrible - couldn’t eat one of the dishes. It was visibly ridiculous (parm chicken very overcooked with burned capers and undercooked pasta). No garnish or veg just a lump of charred chicken and lump of pasta.
Graduation and 18th Bday celebration.
I had the blackened salmon Caesar. Salmon was great but very little Caesar underneath and what was there was meh.
Server did not come back to check for extra water or drinks.
