This reservation was made for a birthday dinner. The food took 45 minutes and all the items were Luke warm. The only reason why they weren’t returned was because everyone was hungry and did not want to wait any longer to eat. The only thing that turned out fabulous was my steak. It was delicious. All the sides and fish were very disappointing.
This place has gone way downhill!
Service is terrible and the wait staff is downright rude, food is subpar for the price, tables and carpets are gross and old.
It’s like eating at a 1980’s sizzler but for a $175 price tag.
Everyone eating there is over 50, a frazzled family out for a special occasion, or is like me….flat out stupid!
Should have just gave the homeless guy out front $50 and ate at my local Mexican restaurant with $75 to spare!
The staff were awesome and super attentive. The waiter (Brian) was great. The food was overpriced for what it was. It was fairly loud and the view wasn't great. We wanted a really good steak, but got a very decent, overpriced one.
Better than Urban Farmer (at least during the pandemic), but only a half step above any regular, cheap steak house.
I felt it was too expensive for the quality. The food was just ok. When paying $25-$35 per person per entree the food should be excellent. It was just ok. The only thing on the table that was really good was the crabcake. Our server was great. We waited for 15 minutes for a table even though we had a reservation, and the table was too small to seat five comfortably. No table cloth on the cold, stone table. Beautiful view.
10/10 shrimp linguine. Very nice people & customer service.
Everything was fantastic and they were completely aware of my Mother’s Handicap condition... we had a very large area around our table... so my mom could navigate with her walker. Thank you for being so aware and accommodating.
My only feedback would be to have a sign by turn around drop off area outside of “Bar/Lounge Door” directing people around the other side for dining... reservations etc.
Excellent food, service & ambiance
This restaurant usually gets 5 stars from me but they were off Mother's Day weekend.
My husband ordered 2 oysters on the shell. He was told the small ones were the tastiest. One oyster was so small it was the size of a dime! Our nice waitress brought him another one.
Next I ordered the twin lobster tails and they forgot to plate the seasoned vegetabes. The waitress brought me a separate plate of green beans that were almost raw and no seasoning whatsoever. Afterwards we went to the bar for a drink and noticed a table being served asparagus on their plates. No comparison. By the time I received my coffee it was barely warm. The server apologized and brewed a new pot. They were understaffed.
This was an unusual off night in my opinion.
Such a fabulous place! Right on the river and the wait staff is so friendly. The food choices were amazing--oysters in the bar, and wonderful seafood! It was our anniversary and we wanted it to be special. It was perfect, and we would definitely recommend McCormick & Schmick's Harborside.
We arrived and the table was dirty and we received a dirty plate. The menu also didn’t specify certain items on dishes that we wouldn’t had ordered had it been properly labeled due to food sensitivities.
The seafood is always excellent and we had much more helpful and friendly staff/servers this time!
The food is always excellent, the cocktails creative and delicious, and the service is outstanding.
Made last minute decision to eat close to our hotel whilst staying in Portland on a business trip. Surprised they didn’t have still bottled water to serve, only sparkling. Beer selection was good, with great local brew options. Food and service was good.
This was a great anniversary dinner for us. We had swordfish and the sea bass— both were so tasty that we shared both dishes. We also had desert and enjoyed outside dining overlooking the river.
We were disappointed in how run down the restaurant looked. The food was so-so. When the host went to seat us he was going to place us directly in front of scaffolding so we couldn't see the harbor. Not great for the price.
Delicious and perfectly cooked steaks. The lobster mash potatoes were delicious. Kathy was our waitress and she was attentive and very sweet! Complimentary chocolate cake for the birthday guest was a nice touch.
Food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. The waitress was very helpful
It was a great experience. We sat at an outdoor table in the shade with great views of the river. They were very accommodating of my child’s multiple food allergies and offered us several alternative items that were not on the kids menu in place of the item he could not have. I had the ahi tuna bento bowl and the dolce sangria - both were presented beautifully and tasted delicious.
Great place to help stay up and running. They are very good neighbors and the service and location are fabulous. Always reliable with the food. Don't miss the shrimp/bacon appetizers!!!!
Beautiful spot to sit and watch river activities and hours of people watching opportunities!
We enjoyed our first night to a restaurant since getting our COVID shot series. It was awesome.
Place is a far cry from what it was 5 years ago. It is in need of a facelift as it is dated and in poor condition. The wait staff didn't know the menu items, has a lack luster approach to serving and the kitchen manager was acting as host in kitchen attire. First course was not fantastic, shrimp coctail tasted like it had been sitting in a fridge for a day or two. I will say the entre was delicious though.
Anyway, was looking for a nice high end experience for my anniversary and left with a less than stellar experience. Wont be going back anytime soon.
We sat in the bar it was extremely busy in there but our waiter did an amazing job taking car of us. 👍😊
I am not easily impressed by food, however the food and service was excellent. The filet was cooked perfectly, appetizers, salad, bread all amazing. We were celebrating my daughter's 19th birthday and we live out of town. I will definitely return. Bonnie our server was outstanding. Attentive but not intrusive.
It was nice. The window was broken. Not sure why.
It was confusing knowing where to come in from where we parked. There were was lots of what looked like repairs going on outside. The window across from where we were sitting was broken. I understand that Portland has had a time of it so I get it and you are trying to fix things but somethings like the booth we were sitting at was torn up. It was very raggedy. Just over all felt there was some thing lacking.
Service was great. The entrees were terrible though the shrimp scampi was not balanced. The Sea Bass was essentially soaked in the same broth that the mussels came in and was basically a soup with everything soaked in broth. The lobster tail we got was discolored.
The restaurant view is obscured by scaffolding and fabric. Not their fault, but annoying and ruins the ambiance. Order the filet mignon Easter prix fixe special and it was disappointing. Flattest, most dry and tasteless filet mignon I have ever had. Our server was good, but the food was below par. And the view being blocked was ruinous.
Amazing food, view, and ambiance!
Incredible level of service by Manny, Milton, Christopher, Ms. Karen and posse. Appreciate team taking care of our family for several years. 🤙🏼🌠🌌
Service was incredibly slow, dishes were served to the wrong diners and 1 of 2 steaks ordered was delivered at the wrong temperature. The “signature” iced tea drinks were watered down and the lobster bisque was overly salted.
We were celebrating our 30th anniversary. When we made the reservation we let them know it was a very special nigh. When we arrived we were set at a small table right by the entry and a huge log beam blocking all view. I was extremely disappointed. The waiter did move us to the bar and it was better seating. The waitress, food and drink were so amazing. We will be back again and share our lovely experience with friends and family.
Went for a friends birthday and the service and food were wonderful! Going again Easter Sunday!
Ate outdoors on a beautiful day. Food was awesome. Fresh and creative. Staff was above and beyond. It's been too long since I've been there. I'll be back soon.
Food is fresh, visually appealing and tasty.
Service on this visit was very efficient.
Setting/atmosphere is scenic, clean, friendly.
Great food and ambiance! Love the open area and lots of tvs
Food was exceptional from the clam chowder, bread, salmon, green beans to mashed potatoes. Service wasn't terrible but the host never seemed to be at the front. We saw a couple stand there for a bit and finally walk away. Wait staff was a bit better. There is scaffolding around the building and one of the windows were broken detracting from the beautiful waterfront view.
The filet was so tender and the bacon wrapped scallops are delicious. Definitely will go back
Everyone had on dirty aprons. Even the front host. We were seated above the wait station and they fought and cust at each other the whole time. Food was mediocre at best. The highlight was the whiskey glazes scallops. Oooh the bathroom was like 5 days dirty gross. I wouldn't use it. When i told the host he just looked at me and said " I know" and walked away. Probably not going back and not for 150 bucks.
