Great outdoors and good wine rommendations

This place has a 4.3 rating which is low for Open Table.

I will not be returning. Tonight was a complete disappointment. The happy hour menu that I saw online had great sounding food and drinks at reasonable prices. The happy hour menu in the restaurant was completely different than what I had seen. It was much smaller and more expensive. I spoke to the manager about this and she blamed it on the furloughed IT dept. I’m not an IT person but it seems one person working at home could fix this problem.

We ordered a walnut salad off the regular menu. It was ok. Nothing I would ever order again. It was small, had a few candied walnuts and a few crumbles of blue cheese. We ordered both types of fish tacos and the truffle fries off the happy hour menu.
The tortillas for the fish tacos were stale. The fish on both was cold.

The fries were even a bigger disappointment. They arrived cold, oily and soggy jammed in a little paper cone. I requested that they drop another batch which they did so I got oily soggy hot fries. They need to learn how to serve a crispy fry that isn’t dripping in oil.

The waitress never offered to refill water glasses. Other than that she did nothing wrong but had a sour face on like she disliked her job. A smile wasn’t to be seen.

I made a reservation in anticipation of a wait since phase 1 reopening had recently started but with all of 3 other couples in the entire restaurant that wasn’t necessary. The food was excellent and the service was great. The bar was only partially operational so most of their signature drinks were unavailable, but the bartender was very accommodating in making some one-off cocktails for us.

I wanted to use a Visa pre-paid gift card to pay the bill and was told the card was declined. I found that fascinating as we had just come from shopping at a local mall and used the card for a purchase with no issues. In fact I had just authorized the card that morning with Visa and knew there was a large balance remaining, more than enough to cover my $100.- dinner bill. After leaving the restaurant I stopped again and made another purchase with same card, no issues.

Makes me question if the restaurant had concerns the card was stolen and simply didn't want to except it.

Staff was friendly. Food was mediocre, were never offered drink refills or desert.

Great seafood, from the peel and eat shrimp, Maine lobster bisque to the twin slipper lobster tails! My husband had the center cut ribeye and it was excellent! Great service given all the craziness in today's world.

We had a delicious dinner and exceptional service. We were very impressed with the COVID 19 measures. Enjoy!

Food and service were fine. Prices were way too high for the quality of the food. Not so sure I will go back here. There are steakhouse with way better food at those prices.

OK restaurant but food was so so... cold fish and chips.

The service was excellent! Social distancing was observed and the wait staff all wore masks.

disappointed with our first dinner outing as a family. we recognize the restaurant is working under challenging conditions, but it didn't like they were ready for the challenge.

We made reservations and felt quite safe during this gradual reopening from Covid 19. A sign at the door asked people to wear a mask, and all the staff were wearing masks, and using gloves part of the time. There was hand sanitizer at the door for patrons to use upon entry, and only half of the tables were not "reserved". The food was outstanding, the service was professional and prompt, and we had a very nice experience.

Food is consistent and very good. Nice presentation. Excellent waitstaff.

This was our first time dining in a restaurant since March and they did a great job. We felt very comfortable. Our server was fantastic as well. We will definitely return.

It was our first night out in 2.5 months and we had a terrific waiter!! The food was great just what we needed.

We enjoyed our meals at McCormick & Schmick's Grill this past week, and the Chilian sea bass and the salmon were both quite good. The oven roasted potatoes are my absolute favorite side dish, so they struck gold for me! The staff were great and did a good job at handling the distancing necessary for guests eating in their restaurant. We like this restaurant a lot and plan to return again!

I have frequented this established numerous times over the past 30 years and have always rated them and 5 stars on each visit. Excellent offerings and always fresh fish and other offerings; and of course always excellent service.

Best time we've had this year in-spite of the virus. Great service and and meal, loved the music too

given the covid issue the restaurant called us to see if we could come earlier than our reservation. Which was great as they were trying to close early. Kudos to them for reaching out to us. We had a fine meal

Really enjoyed the food. Thought the oysters could have been shucked better, bottom muscle not cut on a few of my 6 oysters. The steelhead and crab cakes were so good I still gave 5 stars. Servers were friendly and did a great job.

We did not have a good dining experience here with my family. The noise level was not energetic it was just loud and hard to talk. One of the dishes was delivered cold and had to be sent back. We had a reservation and had to wait an additional 30 minutes. It was our 23rd wedding anniversary and we wanted to celebrate with her family,This was a letdown

Love M it was delish. Also had the chocolate lava cake for dessert. Perfect size and perfectly chocolaty.

Server was inattentive ordered steak medium came out rare took 1 hour to get food after ordering after steak was sent back server was non existent manager helped us had to ask for Bill and then waited for 15 minutes and had to take it up front to hostess took another 7 minutes to get change. We were there for over 2 hours and they weren't that busy. Food was good but you would expect better service for a $100+ meal, I will never go back!

Ambient lighting so low I had to use my cell phone light to read the menu. A nearby table was doing the same thing. Server was not very communicative, and slow to come by for our order and to take our check, even though they were not very busy, many empty tables in our area. The food was pretty good.

Food was great, the waitress was nice and professional, prices are high but you get great quality tasty meals. It was a little too dark for me and I when I made a reservation I didn’t understand why I couldn’t have a booth when there Was so many open even when I left. I guess be specific and what kind o table you want.

Wonderful atmosphere and a fantastic dining experience for my lunch appointment with clients. The shrimp po-boy and gumbo was excellent.

We were celebrating our 43 wedding anniversary with our two sons and their wives every thing was perfect thank you very much:)

We made this reservation 4 days prior to our 40th wedding anniversary, alerting your staff of our celebration. We arrived about 5 minutes late for our 6:15 pm reservation and were told that our table was still being set up. This took another 6-9 minutes. Looking around the restaurant, there were many empty tables. After being seated, we waited another 6-9 minutes for a server to take drink orders and then another 3-5 minutes for water. Our bottle of wine and cocktail arrived 5-8 minutes later. Time was then given to select starters and entries. These arrived after another 15-20 minutes. We enjoyed our meals and upon clearing the dishes, our server then tried to sell dessert. Only when we mentioned our 40th anniversary celebration, did our server offer a complimentary dessert. Prior to delivering said dessert, the server brought an afterthought card signed by staff (instead of it being placed on the table prior to our arrival). This experience took at least 2 hours!
However, please note that the food was very good. The scallops were cooked perfectly, the asparagus done very well and my wife mentioned how much she enjoyed the stuffed salmon. I had ordered a Knob Creek Rye Old Fashion and was served a Bullet Rye instead. Not a big deal, but it set the evening off on the wrong foot.
After dropping $150 + tip, I would hope that this venerable Name plate would upgrade their procedures/staff to compete with the likes of the Chart House and Salty's.

You can't beat M&S for a celebration meal. We were there for a birthday and the service was great. Food very good and the overall experience top notch.

I was really busy and I understand that stuff was overworked but the food was not worth the value is on this one occasion
