Our server, Nicole (hope the spelling is correct) was very attentive and personable! She offered very helpful feedback/descriptions that helped us to make great choices! The food was very enjoyable! It was my/our first visit, but will not be our last!!
Kind of pricey for serving sizes
Love the ever changing menu. Happy hour offered a small but creative menu with drink specials. Food was phenomenal as usual. Restaurant was empty on a Tuesday afternoon , other than that great atmosphere.
3 times visited in 3 weeks. Excellent food, thanks again
Best restaurant in NOLA! The food is unique and delicious, service is perfect with incredible bartending staf.. Go there every time I am New Orleans and it is always what it is. Love it.
I would say that this is a highly experimental dining venue. They are trying to fuse several types of food (asian, french, italian) and some of it is ok, but some of it isn't. Do not try the duck pate. It's awful.
Always creative, very well prepared food. Really enjoy what they do and the space. Cocktails always great as well! Highly recommend it.
My boyfriend and I were visiting from out of town and this was a nice change of pace from the other restaurants we ate at. We both got noodle dishes and fried oysters to begin. Everything was delicious! Honestly, I'm still thinking about how good the Maypop pie was.
The food was excellent! The menu is fresh and changes with the season. The dishes were thoughtful and surprising at the same time. Great place for a business lunch or after work/dinner spot.
Delicious- will definitely go back!
Cool place that was poppin’ for a Saturday night. Great food and excellent wine made for easy conversation. Service was very attentive and the ambiance was appropriate!
Bad service. Vert slow. The first time we went it was wonderful . The second time, not so much. Mostly was our server. The other servers seemed to be quick and responsive. The food and atmosphere were fine. I’m gonna give it another chance
Always a pleasure to dine at Maypop. Delicious, creative
Very good! Such unusual dishes
I was excited to visit again this time for Brunch. It was lovely. Turner was my waiter and he was second to none. Extremely attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. I let him know that I wanted to do three courses and his recommendations were spot on. It got a bit busy as the larger brunch crowd came and there was a bit of a wait between my first and second course...but nonetheless...a wonderful experience. Compliments to the Chef and entire staff for keeping the vibe of MayPop beautiful.
Was an amazing dinner. We tried things at our waiters suggestion. We were so impressed with the flavors in the food. Each dish was so refined. It was truly a delight.
We went for lunch and verything we had was great, one of us gluten free and they were able to accommodate, modifying a few dishes. Can’t fault anything we had. Very unusual Dim Sum variations, innovative menu, highly recommended. Wok fried Jumbo shrimp with noodles were phenomenal, calamari was gluten free, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Sesame seed covered buns, sugar cane and sausage stuffed were addictive and eggplant and watermelon salad was great. Food leans towards spicy, but that works for me. Also refreshing cocktails like Bangkok Mule highly recommended. Will be traveling back and having dinner next month.
The service was perfect, not overly solicitous or fakey. We came for happy hour and were treated well. The two desserts we tried were fabulous.
This was absolutely incredible food!
Food is creative and exciting, blending local flavors with spices and touches from SE Asia. Bouillabaisse was artfully presented and the base tasted like laksa soup with a touch of sambal. Crab salad with cantaloupe and beets was refreshing, both in taste and presentation. Curried beignets topped with coconut cream was appetizing. My only gripe is the portions are really small so at the end of the day, the meal was expensive.
Very creative food. It was absolutely exquisite. Fresh and delicious. You will not find this high-level experience anywhere else. By far one of the top restaurants in the city. The service was on point. Attentive but not over the top. We can’t wait to go back.
Delicious! Regularly dine here and took out of town guests. This is always a treat. So creative and fantastic homemade noodles.
Good was delicious
Excellent, in every way! Food, service, atmosphere. Will be back!
Great contemporary cool atmosphere. Food was unique and inventive and of high quality. Our server - Turner - was awesome.
This is the best restaurant in New Orleans if you prefer modern food, genuine natural ingredient flavours and presentation that is wholesome yet high end! They friendly approach to customer service was refreshing and our waitress so helpful to explain the menu and suggestions. We would eat here every night if we could, better than some of our high end sydney & Melbourne “good food” venues.
We walked past Maypop on our way to a different restaurant and it looked so enticing we immediately made a reservation for the next night. It did not disappoint. The service is outstanding and the food is amazing. The light and open dining room is a perfect setting. Highly recommend Maypop.
In a word, delicious!! Flavor blendings are uniquely wonderful. The duck pate and roasted beets with malfatti - yes! I can't wait to go back and sample more of this very interesting menu. The space itself is open and pleasant while the service was friendly and efficient. All around, a great dining experience.
Loved it! The menu is unlike every other Southern restaurant in New Orleans - a fresh take on the typical fare. Service and ambiance were lovely. Would highly recommend to visitors or locals!
Girls birthday lunch. It was perfect.
If you like adventurous dining, you'll love Maypop. Don't skip the Bibb lettuce salad. It sounds a bit boring, but it's truly awesome.
Amazing menu and food. We have eaten there a few times. Fantastic every time.
Really loved the fusion of Asian and Louisiana flavors. Very intersting and delicious. Will definitely visit again and again.
Great food ,great service . Reasonable prices we were very pleased
Innovative combinations brilliantly executed. Well paced. Efficient & unobtrusive service. Very good cocktails. Standards maintained over 4 visits.
My husband and I both were extremely surprised with this culinary adventure. Hands down one of the best meals we have ever experienced in our entire lives. The amount of flavors bursting in every mouthful was indescribable. AMAZING!!!!
Took our friend and her girlfriend to eat to celebrate her second win in the UFC and me and my wife’s marriage we had an incredible time. We love the restaurant and will definitely be back
Flavors in both food and drinks were amazing! The duck dish was spectacular.
Other then the duck being a little too salty it was on of the best meals I’ve ever had. Creative and adventurous fare, that is well beyond any ‘fusion’ cuisine I’ve tried in the past. This restaurant is exceptional.
We went here at night and were blown away by the food. It does not disappoint. We are from foodie LA and this blew away most of what we eat there. Thank you for the wonderful experience!
