It was perfect, very relaxing
Staff were wonderful. Very courteous and friendly.
Not a good experience cold food, poor service very small portions for family style thanksgiving prefix meal. Stale desserts:/. Would not recommend for holiday dining.
Really enjoyed our breakfast. We had a decent amount of separation from other patrons and a nice big table for the 5 of us. it was a beautiful morning and though the food took a little longer than one might expect, each plated presentation was a masterpiece. It also tasted like one
Amazing experience with the direction of our service and chef...great pairing food and wine
Had a great dinner with friends at the Mayor’s Table. The food and service were great. We did have a minor mishap with an order...the staff got right on it and brought a new dinner immediately and also gave use a couple of glasses of wine while we waited. They definitely made it right. I would certainly recommend this place for dinner.
Excellent farm to table upscale food and service with a bit more casual, nautical rustic type ambiance. Chef is super inventive and creates outstanding taste combinations using local offerings. Highly recommend!
Where to begin...I’ll start by reflecting on the fact that I didn’t expect to be impressed by this restaurant when we first walked in. It is attached to a hotel, and I thought it would be an okay dinner and probably a little overpriced. Well, I was wrong.
The service was great. The food was REALLY good. The price for what we received was reasonable. I’m very happy that I chose this place for my wife’s birthday dinner, and we will be dining here again the next time we’re in Newport.
Mayor's Table doesn't feel like a hotel restaurant.
The atmosphere inside and out is inviting and the food doesn't disappoint.:)
Service, from the restaurant hostess to our waiter, was excellent. And especially during these times of Covid - the patio is a welcome treat. We will be coming back.
Food was ok, nice ambiance, great drinks..
All the flavors were amazing! The Filet was so good. The California cake and Milk and Cookies were a hit. Love the outdoor dining and firepit areas. I will return!
Horrible service - 10 min sitting before acknowledging our presence. 1 person working in kitchen (can see into kitchen). Waiter repeatedly apologizing. 45 min for halibut and scallops - halibut was bland, scallops were exceptional.
First experience here and we were delighted! The food was fabulous, but what really made the evening for us was our server, Jeffrey. He was personable and knowledgeable about the menu items. He really made us feel special - we will be back. Have already spread the word with friends who are just getting back to eating out.
Excellent menu and ambiance. The service was top notch. We look forward to going there regularly.
Love this hotel and this beautiful restaurant. Second time there in a month and will be returning
The menu was very limited not what it indicated on the web site. Some dishes were excellent (tuna toast) others mediocre (pasta) or disappointing (burger). Drinks weak although that is to be expected. Was charged $5 more upstairs for the same drink as in the restaurant. Called to talk to a manger, left a message but never recieved a call back.
High expectations were met with disappointing entree’s and subpar deserts. I normally don’t mind paying high prices for a great dinning experience but I left this restaurant feeling buyers remorse. The starters were marginal and the entrees were not any better. Small portions and not great flavor. The cookies and milk dessert consisted of rock hard pre-packaged cookies with freezer burnt ice cream. I am not sure what the center filling was.
The most shocking aspect of the meal was the bill, particularly the alcohol. I asked for Patron margaritas and our party of four had five total with a outrageous cost of $125.00. Reviewing the bill later I see I was charged for Casamigos Anejo and not Patron. The margaritas were not Anejo. This was a business meal, I will not return to this restaurant with business associates again.
The food was outstanding! The restaurant is part of the Lido House and there is the only option at the hotel for families, without leaving the property. There was a family sitting next to us with the squeals of children. Okay for a diner.....not for an expensive date night dinner with bottle of wine.
The firepit outside is awesome, the decor of the restaurant is very cool.
Service was very, very slow, we assume because we are still in Covid times.
The appetizers and cocktails were great, unfortunately the dinner was not. Two of us ordered the halibut it was very, very overcooked and dry. The squash vegetables were soggy and tasteless. Such a disappointment.
Looove this place. Obsessed over the apps and desserts
Great location, food, drinks and service.
A bit noisy - due to outside dining and Covid. Food was prepared perfectly and very creative. Service was excellent l. Will definitely return for another dinner. Looking forward to dining inside and an expanded menu. Kudos to the Chef.
Great service, staff and food and drinks were amazing! Will definitely be coming again!
70th birthday party
Wonderful experience ! Great meal and service!
First time at a sit down restaurant since Covid! Pleasantly surprised how well they are handing it. Very clean and separated from all other customers. Good was delicious!!
Solid upscale restaurant, a little pricey for the portions, however would definitely try it out again.
Heirloom tomatoes and Burrata out of the world; best halibut I’ve ever tasted!!!
Absolutely great cooking and flavors. Spot on! Chef Riley can turn the most everyday ingredients (the freshest, though) into the most amazing dishes!
Zach was an extraordinary server, our drinks were well crafted. Food was amazing well presented and full of fresh goodness.
Waited 25 min even with reservations. Apps came quick and were great. Entrees came 45 min after we ordered. Had to goto the bar to get the wine I ordered. Might have been 7 tables max. I realize things are slow during Covid but the restaurant didn’t have hardly any tables and unless they short staffed the kitchen the food should have been delivered faster.
Due to Covid we had to sit outside which was fine. Jeff was our server and he did a great job. Of course we started out with a Tito’s martini then a glass of Pinot. The Wagu Beef and Seasonal Melon with Burrata appetizer is highly recommended. The Lamb and Salmon special were great for dinner. We liked it so much we are going back again this week.
Celebrated my 50th birthday with my husband. Service, food & ambiance was outstanding. Our server Mark was excellent! Can’t wait to go back.
We arrived at our dinner reservation time and were seated right away, but no menus. The bartender came out and my girlfriend ordered a soda water with a splash of juice, but no menus. When he brought her drink, you guessed it, still no menus. We waited 10 minutes and I was going to go inside to ask for menus, but thought, I shouldn't have to ask for menus. Let's just see how long they will ignore us. It gets to 15 minutes, then 20 minutes. We said, that's it, we're outta here. As we got up to leave, they asked what was wrong and I told them please bring me the bill for the drink, we waited for 20 minutes without getting menus and we're leaving. They apologized. The bartender went to get our bill, but came back and said they'll waive the charge. The experience was very disappointing because we had really looked forward to trying this restaurant. When we go out to dinner, the standard MO is that the host/hostess or manager who seats us hands us our menus. The manager may want to look into that approach.
Food amazing !!!!
The night was amazing because of employee smokin JOE in the kitchen.
Definitely an asset, restaurant is lucky to have him.
Joe made our anniversary amazing. Our family enjoyed talking with him.
Great experience! Great decor, great location and great food.
The food is spectacular!
But the noise level is very loud :((
I wish the restaurant was designed with better insulation!!
So, people can have conversation and actually hear one another🙏
Outstanding. Jeffrey and the Pastry Chef were terrific!!!
Highly recommend!
My experience was fantastic. My husband and I came to celebrate our anniversary and the food was delicious...thank god you were still open due to the Coronavirus outbreak... we will return.
