Authentic Thai food, spontaneous traditional dancing, occasional costume dress-up with background music by exclusively Thai musicians makes May Kaidee stand apart from most restaurants. And for those who are up for the challenge, our karaoke stage awaits in a separate event space!

May Kaide has a warm and casual setting ideal for meeting with friends, unwinding after work, and foodies seeking a unique but authentic take on traditional Thai food. Some customers over the years have commented that they feel as if they have been momentarily transported to a family restaurant in Thailand.

All Vegan, our menu was originally developed 40 years ago in Bangkok, Thailand. We specialize in curries, noodles and NE Thai dishes including an uncanny plant-based version of Laab Pak, the Isaan favorite. We source the freshest ingredients, grind spices daily and make every dish to order.

From 11pm to 12 midnight every evening we offer our Night Market menu with a taste of Thailand just as if you were at a Bangkok night market. Featuring Khao Soi, Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai. Includes 1 dish + drink. All popular Thai beers available including Singha, Chang and Leo.

    A unique and fantastic experience perfect for spending time with friends and family, or as a team event with co-workers. Challenge yourself while enjoying an afternoon experiencing the centuries-old Thai culinary arts tradition of fruit caving. The class begins with teaching the group how to make basic leaf designs, and then gradually moving into more complex flower carvings using a variety of fruit and vegetables. We include everything required for the class. Also, an authentic Thai meal is included with the class, so we recommend not filling up too much before arriving. Suitable for beginners.

    May is amazing. She is so full if energy and great vibes. The food was definitely the best Thai food I've ever had in my life and it's Celiac friend which I'm grateful for. She connected everyone in the entire restaurant, we were singing Karoake and having the time of out lives. Thank you May ❤️ 10 out of 10 recommended!!

    The food was good, but maybe a bit simple for the price. Protein is not included in most entrees, which makes it more expensive. Portion sizes are smaller than normal. The place is cozy, and the service is good, but we suspect they had some staff shortage issues. The AC didn’t seem to be working as it got quite hot inside.

    This was not what we expected. The service was extremely poor. The dishes came out of order, with the curries arriving first and the rice following 20 minutes later. We ordered curries and fried rice with tofu, but the kitchen forgot to include the tofu. Additionally, we requested our Thai tea to be served at the beginning, but it was brought out at the end.

    We wanted to love this, but the food was served unequally - my friend stopped eating her meal half-way through as I still didn't have mine and when mine finally arrived, hers was cold - and the price for what you get just not on par I'm afraid.

    Amazing vegan food and well priced! Would definitely recommend but the pay process is a little different so be prepared to Venmo.

    Considerate and homey space. Pineapple fried rice (without pineapple) was flavourful and the papaya salad saucey. Would good back to try other dishes.

    The curries are so good. Highly recommend. Good prices for NYC and a very relaxed environment, easy to talk with friends, etc. Reminds me of old quirky New York.
