They didn’t honor what we requested on Open table, sent us to an unsanitized high top table, and also had a menu issue. Management said they don’t control what’s put on Open table and they aren’t about to lose money by letting us sit at the “non” high top table that we requested.
We love this location. Excellent wine list with great choices and value. The short rib, brisket and chuck burger was outstanding, and you must try their fantastic southern fried chicken.
Took my wife and kids for Mother's Day Brunch. Food was delicious as usual. Great service as well.
We went for Mother’s Day (except actually on Saturday). We made reservations. They only had 5-6 tables available for seating inside. Two tables on the patio/sidewalk out front. Service was excellent. And the food was amazing as always. Really enjoyed it. Not rushed. It was quiet. They cleaned tables as people left. They had on masks and gloves. You could get plasticware in request.
The fried chicken was great. All of the entrees came out looking good. Will definitely return again.
Chicken was great! I really enjoyed the ambiance and the music.
The food was great and the service was excellent. I am definitely looking forward to my next experience there.
Great Sunday brunch for singles, families and large groups. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was REALLY GREAT!
Max Wine dive was delicious. I came there for my birthday and the people I were with, raved about it. Will definitely return
Love the condor food, specially how they cook the Collars Greens
Great for brunch. Creative menu and hip atmosphere
Waiter was slow, and didn't know how to time his table approaches. Also didnt seem very knowledgeable about the menu
been there 4 times this year. the best fried chicken and champagne brunch in town
The Heights location has limited parking and the venue is a bit small for their large following, but items well worth a visit. Great food!
So so. I ate at Max's before I became vegetarian, so I don't know what vegetarian options may exist. Seemed like this was more a fried chicken and potatoes kind of place.
Way overpriced and definitely not worth it!... The wings were ok!
One of my favorite brunch spots. Great vibe, great food and awesome service
Love the fried chicken and collard greens. I think I will return soon.
Love this restaurant . Every time I go the food is excellent
Nice service they know there product, lots to choose from
Always amazing, never disappoints! Great for brunch!
The food wasn't that great, service was also lacking. We've never gone back.
Their wine was very delicious an the chicken is great. I will be back.
Always friendly and yummy :) great wine selections
I go there for the southern fried chicken. Best you can get around Houston. You have to be ready for a party time because it is certainly that.
This was a nice brunch outing. The food was a bit greasy but it was good in flavor. I wouldn't say it s kid friendly but a great brunch spot and nice drinks!
Something has changed! Service is different, slow. And the food quality was not what had me coming back every single time. Both entrees ordered were over cooked and room temperature. NO FUN.
Dirty wine glasses and when it I objected to our glasses I'm pretty sure they spit in our wine. So we didn't drink the wine and left.
I love this place.. Great food, great atmosphere.
Not thrilling. But a decent venue.
Food is adequate
Limited seating and parking so a reservation is key. One of my favorite brunches. Oldie but a goodie.
Meh, I guess that's why they call it a Dive Bar, which is accurate.
What can I say except Chicken & Waffles and champagne brunch. MMM!!
Food ok, but not great. Politically correct anti-straw policy annoying.
We used to frequent MWD weekly, and always enjoyed the food and service. It had been about 2 years so we decided to try it again. Huge disappointment. Extremely slow service, and the staff did not even know anything about wine! We will not be back.
This is a hip spot for the Houston area. The portions are large and tasty.
Always so good.
Please, I need the collard greens 🥬 recipe! I always devour my food whenever I visit. This time, I had the chicken and waffle plate, a side of collard greens, and an appetizer of Mac. To-go box what? Lol
Great date night spot and great selections of wine
I was really disappointed at the service on Saturday. It was hardly anyone in there, 3 parties at the most. Service was ridiculously slow to the point I had to ask an employee who was our server. It took 3 waiters before our drink order was taken, and then one more for food. The server who did finally take our order kept coming back and asking what we ordered (3 times). If she couldn't remember, then I don't know why she doesn't write it down. I would have been more understanding if business was booming, but it wasn't. I hate to say, I can just about guess why with the poor service we received. I will definitely not be back to this particular location!
