   I travel a lot and love to go to local restaurants. This was an excellent find! Food was amazing! Service was exceptional! Wine was perfect and reasonable! What a fantastic restaurant!

   My recent dining experience at this establishment for our mom's 88th birthday, left much to be desired, despite the professional service. Our party of six unanimously agreed that while the staff was attentive and accommodating, the food fell significantly short of expectations, especially considering the premium pricing. The evening began with appetizers that ranged from mediocre to decent. The fried calamari and crab cakes were passable but forgettable, while the octopus stood out as the sole highlight of our meal. Unfortunately, the main courses were where the experience truly faltered. The two swordfish orders were particularly disappointing - one was supposed to be blackened but lacked any discernible seasoning. Both portions were dry, overcooked, and bland, despite the server's promise of "juicy" fish. The lobster and shellfish linguine was a big letdown. We expected a red sauce pasta dish but instead received what was essentially a bouillabaisse. This significant detail wasn't mentioned in the menu description or by our server - had we known, we certainly would have ordered differently. The Hawaiian Tuna was equally uninspired, paired with flavorless rice and topped inexplicably with raw peppers that added nothing to the dish. Our companions who ordered the Caesar salad with salmon and the regular salmon dish were equally unimpressed. Even the bread service was mediocre - standard dinner rolls that resembled store-bought varieties. While I commend the professional and attentive service staff, they unfortunately couldn't compensate for the kitchen's shortcomings. For the premium prices charged, the quality and execution of the food were simply unacceptable. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

   Waitress had too many tables so service was slow and we ordered oysters and there was no listing so we had no idea which oyster was from where

   Food was outstanding. Waitstaff was friendly. We had the seafood tower.

   Awesome server and food. Great menu selection - so many wonderful options. Loved being able to dine outdoors on your lovely patio. A+ experience. Max never disappoints.

   One of the very best seafood restaurants we’ve been to. Outstanding food and service. Hard to talk over the din. Wish we lived closer so we could go back often.

   My son took me to one of my favorite places to eat. We ordered the tuna with jasmine rice with a curry coconut sauce, complimented with 2grilled shrimp. Delicious!

    Since I was alone for Easter, I decided to eat at Max Fish, where my late husbsnd and I used to dine almost weekly. My crab cakes Benedict was tasty, but the bread item was a minimuffin, cold and with no butter and looking like it came from a grocery store. My waitperson was brusque and checked on me only once, as soon as my food had been plopped down on my table, wanting to know if it looked OK. She never checked to see if it actually tasted OK. My iced tea glass sat on the table empty, for quite some time; she didn't notice and refill it. There was no special dessert for Easter. The restaurant was busy, but did not seem to me to be overrun, so I was unpleasantly surprised to get the poor service I often get when I eat alone from a Max restaurant. The experience did not exactly contribute to a pleasant Easter as I had thought it would.
