   Had dinner with my fiance and we both are very pleased and impressed. The food was absolutely top notch. Service was impeccable. Had a 6pm reservation was seated 5 min before 6. Was done eating main dinner by 7 Had dessert, coffee and paid check out by 730. Will definitely be back again

   I expected so much more based on prior reviews and pictures. The waiter took quite a while to notice us; so long that we had plenty of time to look over the menu and were ready to order. After taking our order, we waited quite a while before even receiving our drinks (water, soda, and a beer). He asked if we wanted bread and butter. Not sure how slow the kitchen might be, we responded yes. We received the bread with our drinks but we had no utensils to spread the butter. Apparently our table had been reset without utensils or napkins ( had to ask for both). Our appetizers and food came in a reasonable time. The appetizers were good (chowder, raw clams, mussels) but the main course was disappointing. I ordered the warm buttered lobster roll. The roll was burnt instead of lightly grilled. The lobster meat was barely warm, had no butter, and had no flavor. It was tough to chew and lacked the sweetness that a good lobster should have. I was so looking forward to a great New England seafood meal but came away disappointed.

   We had a wonderful family dinner last night at Max fish and they made sure it was perfect. The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding! Which is a lot to say for a restaurant these days post Covid. Max remains one of my favorite places to go and enjoy a full meal or a more relaxed vibe sitting at the bar . Being a raw bar lover, nobody compares to their selection in this area. Nobody!

   Always a pleasant experience. The restaurant was packed today with graduations and Mothers Day, but they still managed to seat us on time and to provide quality service. The oysters were excellent, as well as the Florida snapper special, the lobster roll, and the soft shell crab tacos (which were very messy to eat - be forewarned). Still our favorite restaurant in Connecticut!

   I travel a lot and love to go to local restaurants. This was an excellent find! Food was amazing! Service was exceptional! Wine was perfect and reasonable! What a fantastic restaurant!

   We were celebrating our Anniversary. We ordered clam chowder, oysters, cocktails, Seafood Paella and Fish& chips. The food was delicious! Portions were generous and we didn’t have any room for dessert. Our waitress recognized our occasion and still brought us a chocolate chip cookie w/ a candle on a Happy Anniversary plate- So thoughtful & surprising! Our waitress, Georgia was polite and attentive. Will definitely return! Would like a different table next time, ours was in a busy area and would’ve preferred it a bit less traffic. Ty for an enjoyable dinner!

   My recent dining experience at this establishment for our mom's 88th birthday, left much to be desired, despite the professional service. Our party of six unanimously agreed that while the staff was attentive and accommodating, the food fell significantly short of expectations, especially considering the premium pricing. The evening began with appetizers that ranged from mediocre to decent. The fried calamari and crab cakes were passable but forgettable, while the octopus stood out as the sole highlight of our meal. Unfortunately, the main courses were where the experience truly faltered. The two swordfish orders were particularly disappointing - one was supposed to be blackened but lacked any discernible seasoning. Both portions were dry, overcooked, and bland, despite the server's promise of "juicy" fish. The lobster and shellfish linguine was a big letdown. We expected a red sauce pasta dish but instead received what was essentially a bouillabaisse. This significant detail wasn't mentioned in the menu description or by our server - had we known, we certainly would have ordered differently. The Hawaiian Tuna was equally uninspired, paired with flavorless rice and topped inexplicably with raw peppers that added nothing to the dish. Our companions who ordered the Caesar salad with salmon and the regular salmon dish were equally unimpressed. Even the bread service was mediocre - standard dinner rolls that resembled store-bought varieties. While I commend the professional and attentive service staff, they unfortunately couldn't compensate for the kitchen's shortcomings. For the premium prices charged, the quality and execution of the food were simply unacceptable. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

   Waitress had too many tables so service was slow and we ordered oysters and there was no listing so we had no idea which oyster was from where
