Mawa’s Kitchen

Unfortunately we did mot have the best experience. The service was terrible, our waitress was nice but lacked in service. We had to ask multiple times for water, she did mot clear our dirty plates even with taking multiple glances at our table when walking by.

When we arrived we were told that the shrimp plate was sold out soy husband ordered the duck, after he ordered the waitress came tp tell us that was sold out now too so he ordered the steak which the waitress said was 16oz but the menu says 8oz. He asked for the seal to be medium rare. It came well done. So we just sent it back and did mot ask for a replacement. By that time he was fed up with the whole experience. I also asked for the dressing on the salad to come on the side. Guess what the salad came with dressing. We were very sad with our whole experience.

Our server was wonderful. TJ it was the best service we’ve had and we’re so very friendly. The beignet are incredibly good.

excellent quality of food and friendly helpful service...expensive but worth it!

The food was excellent, from the appetizers all the way to dessert and the cocktails! As vegetarians, we were pleasantly surprised to have so many choices on the menu. The staff were very attentive and polite. A great dining experience indeed!

It was a pleasant evening and we sat on the deck, which is quiet and serene. First time for dinner, and it was terrific—creative, nicely executed, everything done with flair. Main-dish prices might seem high, but portions are huge; expect to take home leftovers, or just share a main and start with some of the delicious appetizers.

Super cute (dog friendly) patio and chill ambiance away from the bustle of town. Perfect for a casual date. The meals were prepared with love. Simply delicious. Will definitely be back soon.

As the restaurant is in the Airport Business Center, I was not expecting much ambience but I was very wrong. The large bank of windows and white walls made the space feel very open and inviting. I loved the grey placemats on the grey slate tables with the perfectly mismatched plates. The servers were attentive and continually refilled our lavendar glasses. The music was at the right level and who doesn't love Eric Clapton.

We started with the ribs and the elote corn. Both were amazing. I'll be honest though the one thing I thought was that the elote was a bit overpriced for one piece of corn cut into 3/4 pieces. For mains, we had jerk chicken, lobster salad and chicken friend rice, all of which were great. The truffled yucca fries are the bomb. You have to order them! And we finished, with the beignets, which were so light and fluffy with vanilla and chocolate sauces.

And as a bonus, the chef gifted my daughter a fresh from the oven, croissant and it was to die for. I love a chef who makes an appearance:) We will be back, sooner than later! Can't believe we haven't been in sooner! YUMMY! Highly recommend. Go immediately!

This is one of the best restaurants we have ever been to! Unbelievable food and A+ service. Highly recommend. It's not difficult to find - there is a sign on the street that points you in the right direction.

Very memorable evening. We loved everything that we ordered, and the flavors, spices, can't be found anywhere else. Mawa is culinary genius. It's would be worth going back to Aspen just to dine at Mawa's Kitchen. Lastly, our server JT was so knowledgeable and delightful that she truly enhanced our dining experience.

We loved everything about this place! Zack was an amazing server and by the end of the meal our friend.

After reading all the positive reviews, I was disappointed with this restaurant. Ambience: This restaurant isn't in the downtown area of Aspen - it's in a "business center" across from the airport which I didn't realize when I booked the reservation but by then it was too late to cancel (there's a $70 cancellation charge per guest). They don't misrepresent their location, but I'd expect more value than what you get. At least it's easy to get a parking spot. The inside of the restaurant was frigid (thermostat said 68) so we ended up putting our ski jackets back on to eat (luckily the staff turned up the heat for us). Food: was ok. We went near the end of the ski season and they were out of several items. I had the "Little Gem" salad with chicken added. Part of the lettuce on the salad was too tough to eat - it was the heart of the plant and looked like it might have been all they had available so I got stuck with it. The Wagyu Beef Top Sirloin that my wife ordered was fair. The mac n cheese and salmon were good.

Unique menu and everything for our party of 7 was delicious.

We had an amazing, diverse meal. Every dish was different and equally delicious.

Mawa's is amazing.

I was skeptical when I first looked at the menu because they serve multiple different cuisines (japanese, african, mexican, american, etc). The chefs execute each dish flawlessly. Mawa's offers something for everyone... Even your vegan friends.

Can't beat the value. I've have paid far to much $$$ for mediocre meals in downtown aspen. Mawa's is high quality food that I wouldn't feel empowered to cook myself.

Very nice dinner with friendly staff. The food quality was very good. We had chicken, rice, vegetables and the Mediterranean platter. I thought the crudite could have been a bit more diverse but overall the platter was good. We enjoyed the meal!

Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten!

Mawa’s kitchen was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. I ordered the jerk chicken bowl and it was absolutely to die for. The staff were friendly and attentive, and gave us a free slice of carrot cake for my boyfriend’s birthday. Don’t let the location fool you - it is out of the way of downtown Aspen but absolutely worth visiting. I will be going here anytime I am in Aspen!

Mawa’s Kitchen is a gem. Bring your appetite because the menu is top notch. We had a great experience.

Mawa is an incredible Chef and her Husband Daniel is a gracious host. Every time we eat there, we are amazed at the new culinary creations of Mawa. On top of that, the service is always great and the positive environment is contagious. I wished we could go every day.

Fabulous experience and incredible food.

Beautiful new dining room. Each dish was prepared with care. They were all gorgeous. The colors, the flavors! I recommend the hummus, Meatballs in tomato sauce with pesto (fresh color and flavors), Carnitas (there was a rainbow of color with this dish), Ramen is always a favorite and lastly, Polenta w/ grilled vegetables. Always fresh, always amazing. A must each visit!

Dined at Mawas Kitchen on Saturday evening 10/3/2020. The menu was varied and interesting and features enough to keep everyone happy. Most importantly was the food was delicious, service soft, and attentive. Enjoyed our night out and would recommend Mawas.

ps. That GF Carrot Cake was killer. And the icing! KAPOW!

Nice, covered outdoor seating area for dining in a very unassuming area of town. Danielle and David were wonderful servers, and the food was high quality and delicious. I’d go back just to get the chicken soup, but all the dishes we got were fantastic. We didn’t get dessert, but wish we had. We were too full. We’ll go back the next time we’re in the area.
