Amazing food and service! The Clam Chowder was unbelievable! Caleb does an outstanding job! The service was excellent as well! We will definitely be back for dinner!

I've been for lunch & dinner and I would ago back anytime...Fab Food, Great Service, Wonderful view of the marina, Very Nice atmosphere. We loved it!

Fresh fish and cocktails were delicious.Had to wait for about 15 min even though we had a reservation.
Nice ambience and good service. Bar was not bussed and was messy looking when we had to get a drink during our wait. Luckily that wasnt reflective of the overall experience we had but was off putting at first. Overall one of the best meals had on Key West.

Location is nice, out of the way but at a nice hotel overlooking a high end marina. Food was good, not amazing but solid. Presentation was great. Service started weak but improved. Lots of staff they just did not seem to be on the same page.

Our waitress, Maria, was super friendly. She made some great suggestions. We had raw oysters, mussels, yellow snapper and key lime tart. The ambiance was great, right on the water. Overall, a superb meal.

We’d read several good reviews of this place and decided to give it a try this morning. I’d heard that the food was very good and that the place was cool and I have to agree on both counts. While we’d made an Open Table reservation for an outside table - it was one of the options when we booked. Unfortunately when we got their no outside tables were available. We’d probably been fine eating inside but the acoustics were hard and even though the space wasn’t crowded the noise level seemed very high. The hostess was gracious though and said she’d clear a table and have it ready in a few minutes and she did. Unfortunately while she was on her way to get us another hostess seated another party at that table. The nice hostess cleared yet another table for us and 10 minutes later we were seated. A server brought us menus and took our drink orders. We waited a bit and then another server showed up to bring us menus and take our drink orders - we told her we’d already ordered but that didn’t seem to matter. She wasn’t as nice as the first server. I think the best description would be ‘curt, condescending and inattentive.’

But we were already there, it was a beautiful day and the menu looked good. Unfortunately the breakfast casserole that Sue ordered (one of the featured dishes) ‘wasn’t available,’ but the Banana Bread Pancake Special I wanted was and I’d recommend it highly. We’d already told the first server we’d like coffee later so she’d brought us some nice mugs. We finished our drinks (the ‘Bottomless Bloody Marys were very good), ate our food, enjoyed the view over the harbor and waited. Then we waited some more. Eventually our server showed up with the bill - no offer of coffee. We decided to pay and leave so put the credit card with the bill and waited. Then we waited some more. Finally we gave up and went inside to find a cashier. She finally tracked down our server and eventually ran the card.

Wouldn't recommend this restaurant. We joined them for Easter brunch and the food was far below standard. I'm unable to eat raw egg yolk, so asked them to scramble my eggs, but the meal still came with the eggs sunny side up. Server didn't come by the table for 10 minutes so we had to seek someone out to find our server to correct the plate. She admitted she had forgotten I wanted them scrambled, brought the plate back out and said they had just switched the eggs out. Totally fine, if there wasn't yolk that had ran into the rest of the food. My husband had a ham and cheese "omelette" that was awful presentation (cooked eggs and topped with 1/2 a cup of chopped cold ham. There's plenty of amazing restaurants a few miles away that I would recommended in a heartbeat over this place.

We dined outside with a view of the marina. The indoor dining room is vibrant bordering on too noisy.
Food and service is always fabulous.

Clean- modern-electric-comfort.Great atmosphere. Place makes any meal a pleasant treat. The black bean fritters are definitely worth trying. I loved the corn meal mash!!!! UNIQUE.

Food was ok. Told them rare on the steak and it came out raw. I like a bloody steak but this was still mooing. Staff very attentive but too quick to clear the table as we were still eating from the dishes they were grabbing to take away. Waiter was not paying attention to us as we ordered and forgot half of the stuff we were waiting for that never came. Nice place and good intentions though.

Creative dishes! Lots of deconstruction of classic dishes. Scallop and Bacon but scallops were seared and laid on top of bacon/belly. Key lime was graham crackers with filling in a jelly jar to spoon or spread.
Fish and shellfish were fantastically fresh and preparation was excellent. Mahi catch of the day blackened was great with green tomato, I had the everyday Grouper with great Thyme crawfish sauce. Perfectly cooked!
My wife had the fish taco and loved it. Fantastic presentation.
S’mores dessert on cast iron skillet with chocolate chip cookie, ganache and torch seared marshmallow- SAVE ROOM!
Nice people, nice atmosphere and great food. Take a trip away from Duvall and Old Key West at least once for a fantastic meal.

Excellent food and a beautiful marina setting. The decor is modern and chic and the plates are very very tasty. The service on the other hand was... slow. The food made up for it somehow. The Perry Hotel is also way out of the way of main area of Key West. So be prepared to drive or Uber.

If you are in Key West, Stock Island, or the Lower Keys do yourself a favor and visit The Perry Hotel. They have a great outdoor happy hour from 4-6 PM every night, an indoor happy hour from 6-8 with a different menu, and superb dining.
The Kitchen is staffed with Little Palm Island veterans and it is just wonderful. The decor is minimalist yet rustic and the service staff is terrific.
This was a real find!

Matt's has a wonderful atmosphere inside and out. We mostly like to dine outside and always enjoy some time by the fire pit. The food is always good and service is terrific. We love the Crab Beignets and Oysters. The selection of fresh fish is always changing. I recommend a sampling of the fries too, anything with bacon has to be good!

Our first dinner at the restaurant was a total flop. Food was not impressive and salads and appetizers all came out at different times. Then entrees took another hour to come out. However the next two dinners were total opposite, food was right on and service was flawless. The wait staff was very good especially Marcelo and Kate (can't remember 100%). Probably best meals that we had in Key west!

I was in Florida visiting a student at FKCC and we came in for dinner. It was getting a bit cool out but the restaurant had heat lamps available outside so we sat outside where we were provided with a great view. Unfortunately, right before desserts, the heater lamp went out and we had to finish our meal inside. The overall experience was great as my student really enjoyed the meal and we were able to catch up and have a great conversation.

This is worth the short drive from Key West to Stock Island. Food is well prepared, variety of seafood, steak and chicken makes it appealing to a wide range of guests. The ambiance cannot be beat. Just walking thru the Perry Hotel to the restaurant is a real treat.

Ate at Matt's during our stay at the Perry Hotel. Location (right on the marina), atmosphere, decor, food, drinks, and service were all outstanding. Definitely would recommend and will be back next time we're in Key West / Stock Island.

Despite having been told by a local that the food was not what it was before the head Chef had left due to last hurricane , we decided to give Matt’s a try and we were not disappointed. The fresh fish and the sides were scrumptious. We were a party of four, and we all had a different side that we shared. All were very good. (The cornbread mash was especially good) The Perry Hotel has a shuttle that will drop off or pick up in Key West and made it very convenient for us as we were not staying on Stock Island.

We enjoyed Matt's, great food
but some was very over priced even for Key West.
Our server was very good to us when he was at our table, with the exception that he was too slow, or the kitchen was to slow.
Then when we were ready to go we had to get up and look for him. I think he had to many outside tables and we were indorrs.

We go to Matt’s often this experience was not very good. My husband got the fish basket, he had one piece of fish that was mostly batter. I had the shrimp they were okay, but not as good as they usually are. The Cole slaw was not as good either. We were very disappointed.

Much improved from a visit a week before. Best to be at the edges and not at the brightly lit center of the beautiful outdoor dining area. Food was very good and every one at our 6 top was pleased. There was an issue with their wine pouring system that proved unsolvable and a glass was delivered way late. Runners need to pay attention to the order and deliver them correctly. Annoying to have to tell them who gets what.
