Matt’s is always our favorite. We’ve done dinner, breakfast and now Sunday brunch here, and every experience is better than the rest.
Our server was attentive without being intrusive; he was helpful with suggestions, too. Espresso braised short rib was tender and delicious; the cornbread mash was innovative and tasty. It was an all-around good dining experience.

Delicious food that made us go back more than once. We went late and service was still slow - at least our guy was but I saw the other waiter getting people in and out quick d.o maybe it was just our guy. Definitely eat here the gold wad amazing but pricey.

The flesh seafoods commodore with a creative presentation was the best one that
highly reccomemd to try. The outside table was nice marina view also beautiful moon was sheen just above it. This restaurant is located in the very nice hotel and is connected to the high class lobby that is also the nice point of this restaurant.
Expensive for what you get, food is average but small portions. My wife and I went for our anniversary expecting an awesome meal. Unfortunately the best characteristic of this restaurant is the harbor it sits next to. I have no reason to return.
The food was salty and my magi sandwich, though ample, was over cooked. The servers were very friendly and fairly efficient. It was an okay experience, but I’m not tempted to go back.
We have been there several times, I feel good has declined. Most entrees and appetizers were too salty. We had a big selection of items. Brussel sprouts w bacon were ok. Octopus good too salty. The ice cream Sammach was great
The waiter Leon seems to be very occupied with other table cause take him quite awhile to come and give my husband a steak knife. He came to check after we finish half of our meal.

More a cafeteria than a restaurant. It charges restaurant prices...
The food was fabulous. We had a smoked fish and grilled octopus appetizer plates to share. Generous serving smoked fish spread for four. The octopus succulent and was on a bed of salsa that included chopped raw almonds. Very tasty.
My wife and I had the Carolina sea food chowder for 2 as our main course. It was amazing! It was chock full mussels, clams, shrimp, scallops and fish in a very tasty cream broth. It was served in a cast iron pot which kept the stew hot throughout the meal. Each of us had two bowls from the pot, but were not able to finish the entire pot. Two nice large portions of a toasted and buttered French baguette was served with the chowder.
By far, this was our best seafood dinner while visiting Key West.
The yellow tail was EXCELLENT! Mahi as well, and the make your own snapper tacos were delicious! Besides the slower service (maybe it was the evening or short staffed), the food, appetizers, & dessert made us forget about the slow wait staff. This is not your average hotel restaurant- high end quality food!

No atmosphere and the food is overpriced for where it is
Brunch $55. Without alcohol! Food was just okay . Quiche was like microwaved. Very disappointing.
A fantastic brunch. Some of the freshest seafood on the island. And they kept our glasses full!
This was our second time coming to brunch here, and I was really very good. I am fine with the food selection, however (and I have heard from other locals) that is there were more meat selections and/or a carving station this brunch would be perfect. Some people unfortunately dislike or are allergic. Hopefully you will consider this change.
We have been to Matt’s several times and it is alway perfect. This was our first time having the Sunday brunch and it was outstanding. Seafood and anything you may want.

Everything was great except our server. The restaurant was not busy by any means when we got there yet our service was disappointing. We have been here before and had a great server, today however our server was awful. He didn’t greet us till about 10 minutes after we were sat then was very unhelpful when I ordered my drink. We had been there before so I asked for what I had last time and he was like idk what vodka deep Eddy’s vodka is.. after a minute of him being somewhat condescending I said I would go to the bar and just check what the bartender had then order. He then said he could do that. We also asked what the specials were since we did not receive a menu for the specials and had read about them online his response was: I don’t know what our specials are... and proceeded to say well this is good on the menu. I asked about the fresh catch and he responded: ugh I think we have salmon. ..As a local I was a bit put off since I went there for local fish. Turns out they had swordfish and grouper. I was about ready to just get up and go ask for another server at that point. We asked for another round of drinks and he said he would bring them when our food came, but as soon as he walked away our food came... and our drinks were empty. After we got our food he never came to ask how our meals were. After our dessert I had to get up and ask the host for our check after 10 minutes of being done with our drinks and dessert. It just sucks that our experience was subpar due to a server that just didn’t care. Our food was great and the server we had our first time there was awesome, knew the specials and checked up regularly. All of the other staff made sure to keep our water full and clear the plates fast. Maybe better training for servers is needed?
The brunch was excellent! If you don’t eat seafood, you can still find plenty of other breakfast foods and can make up for it in bottomless mimosas and Bloody Mary’s. Would definitely eat here again!

Dinner with friends we had not seen in a couple of years. We have been at Matt’s many times and wanted to introduce our friends to it. They loved it and will return!
A must dining experience
Great food and dishes that you do not often see offered. Some were a little pricy for what you got, but all tasted wonderful. It was noisy as the floors are bare concrete in most places and the walls don't have anything to absorb the sound.

Sunday brunch was amazing! Three buffets with lots of seafood options, Mimosa and Bloody Mary bar along with choice of small plates for a menu that is changed weekly. We were there right after the Mango festival, so some of the dishes were mango themed. Food was beautifully presented and the staff did an excellent job keeping the buffet fresh. There were two of us, and the only thing we encouraged is if we both went to the bar at the same time....when we returned, the staff had completely cleaned everything (drinks, small plates and utensils). I also found the indoor seating are to be very warm so when I go back, I am opting for the outside area.
Amazing food, ambiance and service.
The food was good, but overpriced for your portion sizes. I enjoyed the decor and atmosphere, but again the price was a bit more than would be expected.
First time our friends ate here... We love it & have been many times since Matt’s Kitchen opened!
