Nueske's Maple Glazed Bacon Steak
Mastro's Red Velvet Butter Cake
Everytime we go here we are pleasantly surprised of how consistent the food and service is. The steaks are always perfect, and the service is top notch.
Our server Ray was fantastic. I hightly recommend.
The food was really bad. The steak was burnt. The chicken was too salty to eat.
Birthday party celebration. Great food, service and ambiance
Excellent and expensive food! Butter cake is fantastic!
Food we could order was amazing! Very limited menu. Service has just continued to go downhill. This is not a pandemic problem, this is a customer service problem.
Gaby the hostess was rude when checking in
Great place to eat. Awesome food. We regularly dine at this restaurant.
Service was the worst ever. Our salads came wrong and were drenched in dressing. Plating was awful. No one came to pick up dirty plates. Bar service was awful. We left hungry and annoyed. Huge disappointment.
Everything was great as usual! The service was exceptional and food was delicious!
Loved the new covid features and precautions, made the experience good and service once again was amazing!!!
Good food, service was very weak this time. Outdoor dining music was a little loud.
Ally our server was amazing. She made it so easy to order with my food allergy and was the best. Can’t wait to go back!!!
Anniversary dinner. They followed all safety protocols and our waitstaff was fantastic!
Another fabulous dinner out at Mastro's thanks to Brittany!!! She's the most attentive, caring, personable, knowledgeable, friendly waitress there! We only book when we know that she can be our waitress. That speaks volumes! Thanks again for an amazing night out with our friends and family!!! See you again soon!
We were there for my son’s 40 th birthday, I called ahead to let them know, gave us lots of attention & the service & food all made it a special night.
The service was great but every single food item was flavorless. We left in shock of the horrible quality of meal we had and especially for the price. It was extremely disappointing. We don’t plan to ever go back.
The food was amazing and the service was impeccable!
Mastros is open inside, service and food were both amazing!
A treat to dine out again at Mastros, and the staff made every to make it a pleasurable experience.
We had such a great time and our server was the sweetest ever. We went at such a great time we were able to watch the sunset and it was overall a great experience. Great way to celebrate any anniversary 💕
We celebrated two birthdays, it was so lovely. The food was outstanding, they accommodated 3 of us safely.
For $200 dinner for two, I just expected a little more attention to detail. Everything was fine, and I would be perfectly happy if I had paid $75 for this dinner, but not $200. Asparagus was under seasoned, chicken was bland, garlic mash potatoes were dense and not fluffy. Mac and cheese is better at Chick-fil-A. Our server checked in on us once after the food was delivered and kept trying to under sell us (suggesting we order a small side because it’s basically the same as the full size and that we make sure to order extra bread to take with us to go). She mentioned that I should be careful pouring the extra cocktail into my glass because the lid comes off easily (I was like, why am I getting a cocktail shaker left at my table with another 1/2 drink sitting in there to melt the ice?) After we finished eating, someone came to clear our plates, then dropped a box at our table so we could dump our own leftovers into it. The server came by maybe 10 minutes after our table was cleared and our waters were empty and just said “is everything ok?” We told her we were hoping to order dessert, and she said “Ok, just a minute.” We waited another 10 minutes to get our dessert. Our server dropped the check with the dessert and never came back. Someone else came back to take payment and yet another person dropped the credit card back off. Not a lot of confidence inspired as a result. Again, nothing I would complain about, and what I would expect at a value full serve spot like Chili’s or Applebee’s, but not a top price spot like Mastro’s. Our first time, and likely our last. They did comp the dessert because it was our anniversary, which was a nice touch.
We often go for dinner at the TO mastros. This time we went for my sons 18th, with a few friends. This visit was post covid: service was not good had to remind service multiple times for ordered items( second cocktail, bread, capers and butter as requested with halibut) never did get a salad after all. Our usual fav lobster Mac and cheese (changed recipe I was told) and was just not good at all: watery lacked flavor, steaks & halibut were dry. We were seated on the outdoor patio parking lot set up, wish we knew we would not be inside like I requested. Overall, we would have spent the $ 750. somewhere else.
20th wedding anniversary & the food & service were excellent. My only suggestion is to play romantic music vs pop music.
Can’t say I’d go back. The music selection was weird for an upscale steakhouse. The service was poor, the steaks were undercooked, and sides were luke-warm. I mentioned the massive tendon running through my Strip to which the waiter pulled out a flashlight, inspected, and said “yeah they are known for that....”
Wow. I’d recommend Sheila’s Wine Bar in Camarillo or Al Mulino (when it opens back up) before I spend another dime at Mastro’s.
Between just getting reopened the week earlier and some confusion, it took a little while to get served (take order and ultimately pay). Servers were delightful and likely not their fault. I'm sure kinks will be ironed out and best of luck to a marvelous dinner destination.
Mastro's was Superb, we had a Wonderful first Dining out Experience. Staff was fantastic, professional, gracious and personable, Brandon, Melissa and Adrian helped us all feel very special well cared for. Adrian's presentations and meals were simply fabulous and Delicious, he rocked as usual. We had all Bone in KC Strips, Filets, a NY & a Ribeye, and all were cooked perfectly and so good. We also had Crab Legs and Scallops at the table, delicious, and of course an assortment of Appetizers, Sides and a large Butter Cake, Ice Cream and Fruit Platter for Desert.
Thank you all for our Fabulous evening,
21st bday. was awesome as usual.
Great experience. Will definitely be going back.
Great! The food was great and the wait staff was amazing.
Great spot! I would recommend this to all my friends and family.
This is our first time at the Thousand Oaks location and we were really disappointment. The waiter wasn’t nice at all, and the food was flavorless. The ribeye was really chewy and not worth the price. Would not return.
We had a great dinner and fantastic service.
We had a wonderful evening at Mastro’s celebrating my husbands birthday. Thank you Mastros for always delivering incredible food with amazing service.
Hate that we can’t all be inside but other than that it was great.
First, happy places are getting up and running for dine-in!! However, our server was slow to check in. There were a few times we needed things and couldn't find him. They sat us all the way in the back, next to a door to the outside that servers kept going in and out of. The door stayed open for most of the time we were there, making it chilly at our table. The food was excellent, which mostly made up for other aspects that were less desirable. I have enjoyed my other experiences at Mastro's, including the high tops in the lounge, more than our most recent trip.
It was our 27th wedding anniversary
Horrible service. Ordered a bottle of wine when we put in our food order. Appetizers showed up and wine still wasn’t there. Asked about it and they said it would be out shortly. Still no wine. Main course shows up. Still no wine. They literally brought out the bottle after we had finished dinner. The manager came over AFTER we refused the bottle and seemed upset that we no longer wanted it. I dine out a lot and couldn’t believe the manager literally acted like we did something wrong.
