Seating is packed in so tight it’s like a highway getting bumped all dinner. Didn’t see our waiter for 40min at a time. No one to clear dishes. Spoiled oysters sent back and it wasn’t much of a concern to anyone there. Started out good. Ended horrible. I could go on…no need to….

I usually do not have a bad meal at Maestro whether in Chicago or here in Palm Desert. The server tonight was very pleasant and attentive but not hovering.

Because the music couldn’t get any louder (seriously if it did you’d be bleeding from your ruptured ear drums), management must have thought squeezing tables closer together so wait staff, when they did show up, had to bump into the tables just to get your order and having the staff’s long hair draping into the bread bowl was some version of ambience (oh, and you have to pay for the bread). The food was not standout steakhouse fare to justify the cost but I guess because the water was free I was required to beg for it. The Mac and cheese was almost tasteless and the truffle gnocchi was paste. Disappointing is a kind description. Management did not round but the musician did. This is not deserving of Maestro’s reputation.

Haven’t dined at this location for quite a while. It was very busy and energetic. Service was good not great. The cocktail was just okay. It used to be an amazing lemon drop martini but it was not great tonight. The Caesar salad has ALOT of dressing on it. The steak was cooked and prepared perfectly as was the giant baked potato. When in Palm Desert I would return to this location.

We have been on other occasions and the service was far better. It was a Saturday night and it was during the BNP tournament, but we still expect a higher standard from Mastros.

It was a fabulous experience. Our waiter Kurt who has been working there since they opened, was patient, always checking on us and ensuring we had everything we needed and wanted. The meal which was decadent and delicious was why you go to Mastro’s. Great steaks, fish, and pork chops all cooked to perfection. The stir fried rice with king crab? Yum! Great wine list too.

Loved every bite. Usually enjoy sitting in bar area, it's fun and very entertaining but difficult to talk. This time we sat in room off the side and could still hear the music and the friends we were with. Steaks cooked perfect. Special crab fried rice was excellent. We brought our own wine in and realized we left a full, special bottle of wine on the table.. Called the next day and they had held it for us!! How nice is that?! Service was spot on as usual.

Been to this Mastro’s many many times. And it’s always consistent. The food is always good, but the service from the staff is amazing. The manager Andrew is always extremely accommodating and makes sure everyone feels at home. I’ve been quite a few Mastro’s already but the Palm desert location is one of my favorites.

We had such a beautiful experience, and the best service ever by Brittany. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and the meals were large enough to share, although we didn’t. We will definitely return. Yummy! 😋

The food is fabulous and the service is excellent. The bar has really tight quarters and is very noisy, which makes it difficult to have a conversation. I had the petite fillet which was cooked to perfection, white cheddar Mac and cheese and sautéed broccoli and of course the infamous butter cake for dessert. Everything was delicious and came to the table nice and hot. Mastro’s does not disappoint!

It was great! Server was charming and efficient. One person had to send their steak back but they may not have been clear about what they wanted verse the back of the house getting it wrong. Either way a great way to spend our last night in Palm desert!

The food and wine was great! The butter cake is usually my favorite and it came out cold and hard. I literally had to chisel I to it with my spoon. I guess that was the universes way of telling me I didn’t need the dessert. Waiter was great and he offered to get me a fresh one but it was already over it at that point. It’s a busy weekend in the desert and the restaurant was very full with larger groups and it was loud, but we could still hear each other talking across the table.

everything was good except my husband had no idea there was a charge for the special sauces to try with your steak. So he said he would try one of them and then it was $15 which is a little pricey and he didn’t even like it. And for dessert I said it was his birthday and we also ordered the butter cake but then there was a third dessert on the plate that we were also charged for and didn’t really ask for. I feel that was a sneaky way of up selling.

Overall it was a great evening. We were in the bar area so a little noisy but still very nice. Bone-in Filet is always what I order, the last cut was not as good as it should have been. On the thinner side and more fat than what I have experienced in the past. Still highly recommend, one of the best steaks in the desert.
