   We had a wonderful experience at Mastro's. The service was excellent, the food was wonderful. Even though it is expensive, you certainly get what you pay for. The portion sizes are also very generous compared to other resturants in the same proce range. We ended splitting quite a few items which brough down the overall cost of the meal and it was still plenty of food for our table of 5. We would definitely return.

   Food is just fair nothing great. Told it was my wife’s birthday, hostess confirmed that we were celebrating birthday and nothing was said or done at table. No happy birthday, no dessert, nothing.

   Went in on a busy Saturday with my girlfriend. Service was amazing all around from the hostess, bartenders, and wait staff. They really go out of their way to create a special experience for you. I even received a call the following day from Mastro’s thanking me for dining with them. Great little detail. Will definitely dine again soon.

   1st time for us visiting the Mastro’s Palm Desert location. We had excellent steaks, sides, drinks, desert! Live entertainment was great & service was excellent!

   Mastro is well Mastro. You just cannot beat their bone in Tomahawk steak (shared) The Palm Desert gave us a really nice cut and a nice dessert. Service —-always attentive but never interrupted It’s a pretty penny for sure, but for me it’s the premier steakhouse of the Eastern County

   The food is excellent and the ambience ranges from energetic to noisy! The service seems perfunctory and sometimes haughty. It lacks warmth and hospitality.

   Food as always, was amazing! Cocktails delish! Steaks were superb, sides delightful! Bread basket so so good! Only problem was ordering and receiving each course - had to order bread basket from the hostess! We had to order our dessert from a random server whom I flagged down from across the room! Our server was almost non existent once we ordered our drinks, that took 15 min to be delivered to us. We were just a party of 4 people with a 530 reservation, place was not busy when we arrived and service should have been impeccable as it is at all other Mastros locations. Never had the chance to order another cocktail because our female server never came back, and aside from yelling across the room, no other server looked our way or seemed to care. If was really quite sad and very disappointing as we love other Mastros, but this one left a terrible feeling for all of us, we were begging for service AND had to ask a random lady walking by ( not sure her job, may have been the singer?) for our CHECK! If you want to shell out good money for good food AND service, perhaps another steak house will care about you more =)

    Arrival and seating were prompt& courteous. The restaurant overly lit for Mastro’s and it was so loud that while having dinner we could not communicate with the people at our table due to not being able to hear one another. Felt like we were yelling and at a busy bar on a Friday night (though it was Thursday @730). When asked if they could lower the music we were told well, it’s the weekend b4 Stagecoach and that’s why the lights are up and the live music is so loud. LIES! LIES! LIES! I have gone to this location every Thursday b4 Stagecoach for about the last 8 years and this has NEVER been the case. You don’t go to a high ended steakhouse and sit at a dinner table to feel like you’re at BJ’s on a Friday night during happy hour! Management was unapologetic and it just was not enjoyable at all. The worst part is I brought several people who had never visited a Mastro’s and this was their experience. They did say “maybe we should try another place or just go to a basic restaurant! The higher rated stars were because the chef was great. The wait staff appeared bothered and annoyed probably because we couldn’t really hear them either or maybe the noise level and lighting did not have them in a relaxed mood either!
