Very impressive, Kevin was very helpful with the menu and gave us the best attention!!! The food was amazing and everything we ordered for our main course came to table with perfect hot temperature we like ; steak and sides flavors were very tasty , definitely going back soon !!!

Note: We use Open Table almost exclusively and rarely leave detailed reviews, but feel compelled to, after our experience at Mastro’s Palm Desert last night. We’ve dined at several Mastro’s throughout the country and have always had a great experience, delicious meals & outstanding service. HOWEVER, our experience at the Palm Desert location was very disappointing. Apparently they were short staffed, although no one informed us of that until we flagged down a busboy when our server was MIA for over an hour! To be completely honest, the outstanding service from our busboy Salvador, is the only reason we stayed. We dined with friends whose meals were subpar at best. One had to send her meal back for being so undercooked it appeared unsafe to eat. Not the fine dining experience we have grown to expect at Mastro’s, especially at those prices! We would like to compliment the busboy Salvador, who went above and beyond to help us throughout the night, was very attentive, and provided outstanding service! He should be promoted! Hoping our experience was just an ‘off night’ for the restaurant, as it really is a beautiful place that we hope to try again in the future.

The noise in this restaurant is absolutely insane!!! We could barely carry a conversation with each other and we were sitting very close to one another. Love the Mastro's food + service but we will NEVER go back to the Palm Desert location. Someone has to correct the noise issue at the location.....

Amazing! Truly the best time. It was romantic, fun and oh so delish. Ribeye was cooked to perfection, the Dungeness crab to die for. Service was excellent and the music enjoyable. Always at the top of our list for special occasions, this time surely didn’t disappoint. Thank you!

Unfortunately disappointed as they put larger parties in one room which makes it extremely noisy, the tables are also too large literally could not hear the person across the table. The atmosphere was extremely chaotic, people everywhere. For the price would have preferred a more elegant ambiance.

Excellent food and service as usual at Mastro’s . Consistent…as always. Pricing getting a bit out of hand though. Spent $600 and hand to pay $5 for “bread service”I.e. a few rolls, some of them even fresh!!!

Pricey but excellent food. The website emphasizes the dress code and we saw many coming in as though they were going to a casual diner. We were also placed in the small over flow room with no ambiance instead of main dining room. We asked for main dining room and got it. That was a little annoying and demeaning as we were dressed appropriately. Overall nice experience.

We were quite disappointed. While the food was good and well prepared, it was not exceptional, and for one of the highest priced establishments in the desert (steaks range from $60 to $195), I expected excellent quality, great presentations, and an atmosphere that creates an experience… we found Mastro’s lacking on all counts. The atmosphere was ok.. but the noise levels for a fine dining establishment were way too loud… we couldn’t even carry on a normal conversation at our table due to the background noise, with some of the other guests actually yelling to be heard over the noise… Overall… this will be a pass for us the next time we’re in the area.

Overall terrible experience. Food undercooked, had to remind waiter several times for a drink menu, unruly patrons in the bar disturbing rest of restaurant and restaurant management did nothing. If you like to go to a restaurant with poor food, poor service, horrible atmosphere, and pay a ridiculous amount of money for it, then Mastro’s is the place for you.

Lovely dinner at Mastro’s on a busy Friday evening. Our Server was Branden who was excellent…. personable, helpful, attentive and efficient.Following cocktails we shared a bottle of chilled Rombauer Chardonnay. A shared Shrimp Cocktail, we both had Alaskan Halibut and small orders of steamed Asparagus and crispy Brussel Sprouts. The veggies and entrees were perfectly cooked…delicious and tasty as was our shared Chocolate Sin Cake. Mastro’s is one of our favourite restaurants we go to on special occasions for the last several years.

Excellent dinner and the service was impeccable. I asked for a drink they'd never heard of before and I got a fantastic example of it when they brought it to our table. Our server Lance was delightful and did a great job, and the food itself was fabulous.

Excellent food and service. Although Mastro’s is expensive it provides a good value in food and service. For those wanting a more subdued environment, Mastro’s is not the place for you, the music is very loud making it difficult at times to have a conversation.

Went on a Saturday night. Very lively energetic bar area! Live singer too and lots of folks at the bar eating, drinking and even dancing. We were sat at a high top! Great food as always. Server was a little busy and took a while to order.
