Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Went for a dinner with colleague and sat at the bar. The patrons there made it feel very unsafe and to party like. The manager as well as one of the servers did try and make up for the noxiousness. I think we might go to double eagle next time.
Amazing ! Tuna Tartare incredible !
We had 8:30 reservations and as soon as we sat down we were rushed and told the kitchen was closing. Our water and wine glasses sat empty for 5 minutes at a time with no one around to refill. We were completely ignored by the staff. The steak was really tough and was very hard to cut with the steak knife. I have been to Mastro’s in other cities that were fabulous. This location had the worst service and food of all the locations. Overall 2 out of 10 experience.
Wonderful experience with a great atmosphere and vibe.
For a “high end” (expensive) steak house we had terribly poor service. Drinks took forever to arrive each time we ordered them, they never brought our side dishes (that were on our bill), never checked in on the table, didnt apologize for the missed side dishes…zip. We had been to Mastros years ago and it was a totally different experience. They have signage about attire but given there were people there in sweat pants, they clearly dont have a standard on dress. We will stick with old faithfuls like Joes and The Palm next time.
33oz chefs cut was perfect !
If your looking for an upscale restaurant with great food and ambiance Mastros is the place.
The service was great. I dine at mastros in New York and this was a much better experience. The waiter was attentive and kind. The food was delicious and well prepared. The drinks were spectacular. I ordered a dream berry and the presentation was definitely nothing compared to the New York location. The D.C location is top notch. I didn’t care for the hostess at the front but that’s a minute hiccup for a night well spent.
A+ night at Mastro’s. The food is amazing and the service is top tier. Definitely going back regularly.
Delicious food! Very nice place with live music! 👌
Great food and service. Lance was our awesome waiter.
Very good dining experience. Staff was great and helpful. Drinks were top notch and the food was delicious.
Excellent food and service!!! Drinks were awesome including mocktails!!! Have to try the butter cake!!!
Great food! Delicious wine selection! We did have a wait, but our server was phenomenal. Services from there on, after seated, were awesome! We had our 1 year old daughter, so I appreciated the patience, friendliness, and catering to her.
Service was horrible, waiter showed up once every 45 minutes. Food was below average. Huge disappointment especially comparing to location in Las-Vegas.
Service was a little slow. Food took a long time to come out. Over all experience was good
It would be nice if all options were listed on the menu. Such as side add-ons (ex. Bacon) and butters for entrees. Staff was nice.
A steak and seafood house with ample choices. Steak prepared to requested temperature. Sides are a la carte and are generous, can be shared by the table. Cocktails are well prepared and range from traditional to inventive. Wine list is extensive in both bottle and by the glass with good choices even though a bit pricey. Be sure to get a reservation or you probably will have an extended wait or even be told to return another time.
Exceptional restaurant, service and food! Highly recommend!
I just love the piano bar at Mastros, the ambience was lovely. Our bartender Tara was superb!
Repeat customer, party of four. Two of our party ordered petite filet (6oz), one ordered 8 oz filet and I pigged out on bone in ribeye. The three filets were embarrassing small and you could not tell difference between 6oz and 8oz. At $60-70 per it is a ripoff. In addition to ridiculously small portions, food was good, not great. They’ve most likely lost a regular customer.
Mastros is one of the most expensive steak houses in DC. I really don't care; it was a terrific experience. Bartender Carol especially did a great job with my made-to-order Manhattan.
Good food, fair price, tolerable service. Prepare for a whimsical change of table reservation.
First time dining here and will surely return. Food was great - Brussels sprouts with bacon steak are a must! The overhead music was a bit loud. Asked to turn down, but not sure they did.
Last night was amazing at Mastros the food, service and drinks were amazing, We g=had the best time. even the music was rreally good. Live singer after 7pm sounded as good as the original artist.
Food was not hot when it came out, and the waiter entered the order incorrectly so my husband did not have an entree
It was my husband’s birthday! The service and food was outstanding. We overpaid for bacon in our brussel sprouts but otherwise, I can’t complain.
Extremely loud music in main dining room. Couldn’t hear people talking at our own table. Ok with strict dress code, but Allowing an infant who screamed nonstop for over an hour (no service person asked them to remove the baby out of the restaurant) wasn’t ok. When average price per person is $100 and between the incredibly loud music and baby screaming it was a very disappointing evening.
Lovely early birthday dinner
I am a big fan of many different steakhouses. This does not measure up. They sat my guests and myself downstairs in the basement next to the rest rooms and it smelled like it. It took 40 minutes to get our cocktails only to be informed they didn’t have dry Vermouth for the Martini. The apps were lack luster, forgot one of the salads during second course. Had to ask for a splitting plate for two who were sharing….. no offer ahead of time. No pepper offered……
Finally third course arrived, meat cooked correctly, sides good. Potato was ice cold.
We ordered expensive wines and it seemed to be a chore for the server to open and poor.
Sad experience especially when the bill was $1000.
Birthday occasion....had a very good time, the food, service, and decor were exceptional. Phillip was outstanding!!
Other than the hostess being alittle rude..The bartender Andre and our server Rice was absolutely inviting and made our whole meal an experience.
Order a STEAK, muy delicious.
This was our first time dinning here and it was our 3rd wedding anniversary. The staff was amazing from the hosts to the manger. The food incredible. We want to especially thank our server Elena for making our night even more special. She was attentive and frequently checked on us to make sure we needed nothing. Can’t wait to dine again.
The roasted bone marrow was really good although we have had better at a different place. The steaks were amazing and well worth the $$$. The sides were really good but nothing exceptional. The drinks were good and strong!
Mastro’s is amazing and the best steakhouse in the area! Steve and Che and the rest of staff here are the best in the Washington DC!!!
Great food great service
