Signature Warm Butter Cake
the drinks were so good ... now as for the food, absolutely amazing! the steak was so juicy and flavorful. our waiter T was the best! i highly recommend this restaurant, especially this location to everyone. the staff was extremely polite and very welcoming
This restaurant is our can’t miss spot. Everything from the time your greeted to when you checkout is spot on. Lastly I would argue top to bottom best service staff in dc.
We enjoyed a nice dinner for our Anniversary. We had a reservation for Saturday at 8:15 and were seated right away. I loved the gigantic 22oz Ribeye! However, the Butter Cake was also delicious!
The best service ever would definitely come back again
The service was much slower and not as attentive. The food was good, but not the usual “outstanding” taste as before covid.
It was my birthday. Such an awesome experience!!! Edwin was a great waiter.
Great service and quality food, it is a bit too dark, but acceptable for dates/ romantic dinner.
Great food, environment, and drinks. I will definitely be coming back!
Service was great. Food was scrumptious. Well worth the money.
Great evening at the Mastro’s in DC. I had a 8:30pm reservation. Staff at the restaurant were great. Thankyou Hanna for your service, I felt like our time was rushed slight due to our 8:30pm reservations. I look forward to dining again but definitely with earlier reservation times. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and location
Nice but too dark
It was a great dinner. I asked for my steak to be medium well and it came out rare even through butterflied to insure it cooked properly
Food was delicious and the service was excellent. No complaints!
The waitress was not involve with the 2 of us. When we were seated it took her 15 to 20 minutes to come to our table. We had to asked another person to give us utensils because she was no where to be seen. We asked that our steaks be cooked well and the steaks came out red pink. She took the steaks back to be cooked but that left the rest of our food to get cold so when the steaks come out we ask for to go bags.
I came to your restaurant to celebrate my friend's birthday and that was stated when we checked it. She did not mention if cake could come out for the his birthday. She asked if we wanted to order desert. She brought the bill and we waited for her to come back to the table I had to hold the bill up to get her attention. Our experience there we did not enjoy at all with the cost I spent. I have been there twice and the service I received then was the reason I came back. I just want to add if you food is not cook right was a discount to be given.
Maestro's is one of our favorite places to visit, we've been three times since July.
The drinks and butter cake are worth the drive from Baltimore. We came in on 10/10/20 to celebrate a friends Birthday. He and his wife were first timers. While the overall experience was good, there were a few downfalls. (1) Upon our arrival, we were moved to the bar area because our respective men had distressed spots on their jeans (disappointing). Change the policy to no jeans at all. They both and on loafer style shoes and collared shirts. (2) Our entrees were lukewarm, the fries were overcooked, and my lambchops were CHARRED around the edges (extremely disappointing). (3) Our drinks and birthday desserts were great and our server Jaz was PHENOMENAL! We'll be back...in 2021.
Great experience and excellent service. Will be back for next special occasion!
Exceptional experience! Food was exquisite and Sam, our server, was phenomenal!
Celebratory dinner. Staff was nice and safe, especially during social distancing.
This place never disappoints. Our waiter Sam was the best. We were celebrating our birthdays and truly enjoyed the have it your way experience. And of course the butter cake wascto die for. I will certainly be back.
Well when we first got their the hostess was a gentleman who was not trying to let us in for my birthday dinner because we had on jeans and a long sleeve TShirts! snow granted they did have a sign that said certain dress attire but our problem was when we were patrons earlier in the year on January 8, 2020 we both were in cocktail attire and their were customers in the main dinning area with jeans on and the same sign was up and it was no problem then. So me being me advised the hostess we were here in January in the main dinning hall and there were people eating but were not dressed in the right attire and we drove all the way from Maryland please don’t turn us away so he seats us in the bar area🤷🏽♀️🤦🏾♀️! The waitress and food was EXCELLENT! Love the service and the ambience of the restaurant but wasn’t crazy about certain rules only applying to pacific patrons 🤦🏾♀️
People very nice and helpful. Service was spot on.
The steak I ordered tasted burnt & dry. When I brought it to the waiter’s attention he said the kitchen was closed so I ended up not eating. I paid for my date’s food but left on a empty stomach!
I am never disappointed! The food, service, and atmosphere are always perfect!
unnecessary expensive. they charge even for water. this is not worth the money. too dark, food too expensive and too small
Service and food was great. I will be returning soon.
I love Mastros but this was bad. The baked potato was hard and cold. I had to send my steak back because it was burnt
It had been a little over a year and a half since I was last at mastros. We arrived promptly for our reservation and were seated immediately. It was nearly 10 minutes before we were acknowledged by the service staff. The service was frankly slow tonight. The gentlemen serving us was nice, but not nearly as attentive as previous visits or prices would dictate. The nueskes bacon preparation was a subpar knockoff of the palm at best. The steaks were cooked well and were on par with previous visits. The attentiveness of the service staff however was not. So much staff, so little guidance and attention.
It was my birthday weekend and I decided to spend it at Mastros with a group of friends. Although my favorite server Rice no longer works there, Jess was just as great! Due to Covid they have a strict 15 minute grace period or they cancel your reservation. Luckily my group and I made it on time. They maintain a safe environment for us to enjoy our food at. Mask are worn at all times and the tables are spread out. The food and drinks were great as usual!
Arrived on time for reservation and was told that I had to wait until someone got up. About 10 minutes went by and nobody was leaving so I asked what other options I had and hostess said she would get manager, never saw manager. I was given a table downstairs in what appears to be a basement right next to a room that was not being used with 15 tables, terrible atmosphere. Service was very slow and not Mastros like. I’m a regular Mastros customer in a different city and definitely was disappointed with this experience. Mastros charges top dollar and this was clearly not a top dollar experience. In addition I had added to my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and staff, hostess nor anyone made a mention of it. I would not go back to the DC location.
The food is worth every penny and the service is always impeccable.
It was such a great place to go for a birthday celebration!
Excellent customer service, will definitely return
Great experience.. waiter was excellent.. cocktails were good.. food was great
We celebrated my sister’s birthday and what a great choice it was! The food was impeccable. Some entrees were shareable sizes. We ordered several side dishes which were all shared by the 4 of us. There was so much food on our table. We barely had space to eat. Of all the sides, the French fries were well seasoned and prepared. The scallops were to die for! I was mad at myself for not placing a carry out order for the next day. I highly recommend Mastro’s DC for any celebratory event.
I wasn’t all that impressed with Mastro’s restaurant. The food was overpriced and ambiance was average. Customer service was great!
Such a great evening with top notch customer service. A high end steakhouse where you’re treated with a warm welcome and taken care of like family. The relaxed yet upscale ambience makes you feel like royalty. Guests are dressed professional/cocktail attire which I love. You have one chance to make a first impression so why not look your best! Will definitely visit again soon.
It was ok. Felt racial tension. We were sat directly next to the bathroom. I didn’t let that stop me from focusing on enjoying myself with my date. Still have need up spending $300 and tipped $50 plus valet parking. I don’t think I will visit that location again. Waitress was great though.
Outstanding service! Ché the manager went above and beyond.
I think the dress code rules are a little out dated according to today’s style. I wish the menu was a bit more optional. But other than that great experience for my first time. I would go again.
The best lobster Mac and cheese in the city. Always a wonderful experience. Looking forward to my next dinning experience!
