   The lambchops were not as good as I remembered. They were not flavourful at all. I used to rave about them to everyone, so I was disappointed. For the glazed brussel spourts less bacon more sprouts. The buttercake was amazing, per usual. The music was too loud. It was hard to have a conversation. And the table for two is too small. The service was excellent overall, and drinks were delicious.

   Amazing experience for a birthday dinner. The food was amazing!! The music choice was a bit interesting but overall classy vibe.

   A glass of ice water was knocked over in my lap by server, no one thought that was a big deal. ask for non alcoholic drink was served with alcohol both waiter and manager debated with customer whether the bartender mixed the drink with alcohol or not. Asparagus was old, skinny and served without cutting the woody ends off. Chilean Sea Bass over cooked and dry. Quality of Steak was that of Kroger. Iced tea was spoiled. Music too loud to carry on conversation. Otherwise a good $600 meal.

   The music was a poor selection that didn't match the ambience of the restaurant. The music wasn't dining music; more bar music. Also, the live music performer wasn't visible from the dining area. The service was slow but the servers were knowledgeable and friendly. For the price point, Mastro's Steakhouse was far from meeting my expectations.

   Mastro’s food quality has slipped. Our filet mignon was mediocre given its higher price compared to other upscale steak houses. Our waiter was very pleasant, but the overall service was average. Live music in the bar was top talent, but the sound level in the dining room (furthest away from bar) was too loud to have a conversation. I will think twice about dining at Mastro’s again versus choosing another steakhouse in Washington DC.

    Took a friend to celebrate her birthday and our 54 years of friendship. We chose Mastro’s because of the ambience and great food. Our server George was enthusiastic and knew and explained the menu well. My husband and I had the grilled Branzino and our friend had the crabcakes. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. Our sides to share were garlic mashed potatoes, spinach, and Brussel sorouts, were all very good. The birthday dessert, butter cake, and icecream and cheesecake with fresh berries fresh fruit were shared at the end of a great meal. Our friend who lives in NY was happy to learn that there is a Mastro’s in Manhattan.
