    The overall experience was terrific. My waitress Victoria was attentive to everything I needed and made great drink recommendations. The porterhouse steak was delicious. There was also a vocalist who was performing that helped with the ambiance. Hard to find a better dining experience in town.

    My ears are still ringing from the unreal volume of the music in the restaurant. So loud we couldn’t talk, even the restroom had the music piped in at an unbearable volume. Served said he couldn’t lower the volume in the speakers. Very very expensive dinner but the food was just okay. My husband’s bone in ribeye seemed to have e experienced a flame up and was weirdly burned on the outside-the rub was incinerated. Service was fine but not friendly. We went to celebrate my birthday and I felt like it wasn’t a special occasion as they didn’t acknowledge it even though they asked me about it when I confirmed the reservation. Why ask then ignore it? Weird. Overall not what we expected. Not terrible but for over $500 for 3 people, too pricey to walk away disappointed.

    Very beautiful setting. Pianist in the bar was excellent and the music was throughout the restaurant. Perfect level. Staff was amazingly knowledgeable, helpful, friendly. Will be back again as the tuna tartare, ribeye steak and cream spinach were all exceptional. See you next time.

    I have visited Mastro’s multiple times, both with large groups and for date nights. I thought it would be a wonderful choice for my sister’s birthday since she had never been before. We were a party of three. Unfortunately, we arrived 15 minutes late due to the Pride weekend celebrations throughout the city, and 3 Ubers canceled on us while en route to our hotel. I called the restaurant, and they seemed accommodating, but we didn’t get there until around 8:40 PM. The restaurant closes at 9 PM. We were seated right away, and water was poured for us, but then we waited over 15 minutes for someone to take our drink and appetizer orders. Eventually, the waiter introduced himself and seemed friendly and knowledgeable. We ended up placing our dinner order at the same time as our appetizer order. When the appetizers were served, the support staff kept hovering over our table, eager to clear the plates. Just as my sister was about to take a bite of her food, the staff member removed her plate. It was quite shocking, as she was still chewing! The staff member explained that she needed to clear the table because my sister’s next dish was on its way. When the entrees arrived, they immediately started plating the sides onto my plate and those of my two sisters. While I understand this is a common practice, two things annoyed me. First, she added something to my plate that I didn’t want without asking for my preference. Second, we were in the middle of a conversation, and it felt intrusive and awkward to have someone reaching over to serve food. We eventually told her to leave the sides, and we would handle it ourselves. I believe the wait staff should ask if you prefer your food to be plated for you or if you’d like to do it yourself. Additionally, this process felt rushed. As I was nearing the end of my meal—notice I said nearing, not finished—the staff member asked to clear my plate. I think she caught the hint by our glare. Overall there just needs to be some fine tuning.

    You know when you watch a movie and there is a mafia scene where the waiters are in unison and and it feels like there are 5 wait staff to a table and every patron is cherished and having the most incredible experience of their life. Thats this place. And yeah, the food is also exceptional, book this place immediately.
