                            I am giving a 1 star rating because we had 5pm reservations and were not seated until 6pm. Reservations mean nothing. Everyone in there had 5pm reservations. They overbooked and had a did not care attitude. I would recommend Filippo Ristorante and Bar a few doors down. I tried to see if they had any tables, which they did not because they were holding the tables for those with reservations as it should be. I do NOT recommend Massiminos.

                            Highly over rated restaurant- the food was gross. The place was empty, several servers buzzing around yet we waited 15 minutes to get a beer. Next, the oil for the bread was not olive oil - it was clear, like a vegetable oil and tasteless just plain oil in a bowl. The soup was bland and lukewarm- tried the artichokes - fried and all you could taste is the grease. The main dishes chicken parm and chicken cacciatore nothing special at all - same as you would get in a sub shop. As far as atmosphere - there is none and the bathroom was a mess and smelled like moth balls. Definitely will never go back not even for free. Don’t waste your time and money here.

                            We went to the basement and had our dinner at the bar. It was a rainy day so not many people were out, we had the downstairs mostly to ourselves. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious.
