Great spot to grab quick food!! Tacos are large so don’t order too many lol. Not a place you’d stay too long.

Overall was good, food could have been better and cocktails were hit and miss. More vegetarian options would be appreciated!

First time here to try it out. Overall was a standard experience but had decent food. The birria quesadillas were the highlight of the meal with nice flavour. Also had the guac(flavourful) and chips(similar to Costco) and ok fish taco. Drinks were pricey and fairly standard. Service was okay, nothing amazing, but minimum tip expectations were 18%. IMO there are better spots in Calgary.

It was my wife’s bday and we let the host know as he had recognized I also was here for my bday in March. My wife had a tough day as she had attended funeral early in the day and was looking for a nice relaxed meal. We felt really rushed. Last calling as for drinks before we ordered our tacos and asking if she could bring the bill and not offering to look at the dessert menu. Maybe don’t take reservations an hour before you close if you don’t want us there. Also not a fan of the menu changing every 3 months. Very disappointing as the first time we visited it was amazing but never the same the 5 times we have been since.

Really, really hoping for these guys to make it as it’s a great vibe with good people and a tonne of potential. Service was outstanding and friendly but the food seemed not cooked as perfectly as the last time we went. Great flavour with their calamari strips but seemed slightly overcooked. Korean fish taco was good. I had no complaints. My wife liked but said it tasted a bit fishy, if that makes sense to people. I felt the al pastor taco also tasted good but meat wasn’t as tender as could be and my other taco was just not for me. I guess I am not a beef tongue fan. Others may love. My hunch is that we just caught the cook on an off night and I will be back to try again. The dinner was really super priced. We caught Happy Hour and 3 tacos and a pint of beer each ran us only $73 total with tip. Go try it out, especially because they must be hurting with the construction going on out front. Have a feeling the place will eventually hit full stride and be a big part of Marda Loop’s growing food scene.

It was our first visit to Masa Mama but it won’t be the last. The food and service were excellent!

Amazing food, drink and atmosphere, server was knowledgeable and personable. Several of us had the Mango Habanero Marg which was fantastic, along with one of the best " Adobo Calamari". Corn tortillas favorites were the Chicken Tinga, Baja Fish Taco, Suadero & Asada. Can't wait to head back and try more on this menu.
