   It was our first visit to Masa Mama but it won’t be the last. The food and service were excellent!

   Amazing food, drink and atmosphere, server was knowledgeable and personable. Several of us had the Mango Habanero Marg which was fantastic, along with one of the best " Adobo Calamari". Corn tortillas favorites were the Chicken Tinga, Baja Fish Taco, Suadero & Asada. Can't wait to head back and try more on this menu.

   Tacos were fine but relatively pricey vs other taquerias in Calgary. Most frustrating part was the reservation system. After needing to post $20/person for our 3-top to make it, we received a reminder our reservation would be limited to 1.75 hours. However, the server came to us at 1 hour and told us to be out in 15 minutes at the same time he dropped off new drinks. We asked what was up and for some explanation(wanted table for another reso) but the manager didnt bother to come over despite the server letting them know about our questions. Overall pretty disappointing experience.

   Everything was great! We had an array of tacos and the masa guac to start. Everything came out quickly and was fresh. All the tacos were good and different. I would definitely go back.

   Went in and tried out Masa Mama for dinner with a friend. We started with the calamari, elite, and ceviche, and really enjoyed all of them. Then we had some tacos. I had the lengua, chicken, suadero, and gringa, which were all great. We finished off with the churros, and really liked the passionfruit sauce paired with them. I also had a mango habanero margarita and the Smooth Criminal. I really liked them both, but the Smooth Criminal was amazing. Still thinking about the flavor.

   Food was great, wonderful flavours. 3 of us had Margaritas, quite disappointing. Lack of flavour, not sure there was tequila in them! Tempranillo red wine was very good. Server was attentive even though he was the only 1. Make a reservation it is small.

    We arrived at 915 on a Friday night for our reservation. Although there were multiple empty tables, none were ready to serve guests and we had to wait for it to be set. Our server started off great. Greeted us and made great recommendations. First drinks and appetizers came fast and 10/10 food. After that, our server was almost non-existent. There were only two other tables in the room and he seemed to be doing various tasks as well as socializing with staff. When our main course came, I had an empty drink waiting for someone to come ask if we would like another. I grew annoyed as we watched 3-4 other servers not help us. I finally got a second drink when all our tacos were done. The tacos were amazing although a bit pricey. After we finished the tacos, our plates sat dirty on our table for 15 minutes and I completed my second drink. It went empty for a while before we found our server. Finally, we asked for dessert and ordered my last drink. Dessert came fairly promptly. But my drink never came. The dessert doughnut lacked flavour. And so did my non existent drink. We asked for the bill and told him that the last drink never came. It had been sitting, poured on the bar top the entire time. He brought it to me and did not charge for it. But we were done at this point. He was always friendly. But for the price of the meal I would expect much better service. Tacos are amazing though.
