   Marti reopened after Katrina in the French Quarter in a spot on the top side that is a bit off the beaten track. Because of this, it is having trouble finding its niche. Add to that the construction on the new Rampart streetcar line, and it is a recipe for failure. However, with the new chef and an unbelievable menu, this restaurant must survive. The construction will be done in the next year, and I hope locals will continue to dine here to help the restuarant survive. It is an old piece of New Orleans' history with a beautiful dining room and ambiance that cannot be beat. Add to that a great bar with happy hour specials and the new chef with a local, fresh menu, excellent;y prepared and served food! I would encourage all tourist to check out the Rampart corridor and Marti for a great experience. I highly recommend - and I am a local.

   This place was great. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent. I had the grilled red snapper which was grilled with one side of the skin on which was extra crispy with the creamy center of the fish. It was wonderful. The only drawback is the location. I would valet park since that part of the city isn't the greatest. We had no trouble, but I would take advantage of the valet parking.

   Amazing experience, top to bottom. Came here with a bridal party and had a blast! Excellent service and AMAZING food from start to finish. Stacks up to the other NOLA institutions easily but because they're a new kid on the block, they're hungry for traffic. Won't be a hidden gem for long... Come here soon, come often!

   We knew nothing about Marti's but chose it because it was close to the Mahalia Jackson Theater. What a lucky find! The setting is elegant, the food was delicious and we would have lingered longer except that we need to get to the show.

   Very interesting, diverse menu, great meals, diverse and reasonable wine list. Would be 5 stars for food but a new menu item, fish papillote, just was not ready for prime time.

   Some attention needs to be paid here. The food was good and the servers/managers are very nice, but some work needs to be done. The room is lovely, but at the prices of the food and the level of decor, table cloths are a must! I don't even think that those tables are meant to be uncovered. Please decide what you want to be. If it's a bistro, you better lower your prices. If you want to be a fine dining establishment (I'm hoping for this) please get your white linen groove on. Also, black napkins for your black wearing clientele is an important touch. Good luck! We want you to be great, but you are not there, yet....

   It was one of the nicest dining experiences I have ever had. The food was great, as was the presentation. The waiter was very personable and helpful.

   Everything about the restaurant is great, except for the fact that it is way too noisy. There seems to be little sound absorbing material in the dining room, which could be easily addressed. Service is exceptional.

    Memories of our dinner at Marti's will linger for a long time. The service staff was friendly and attentive while maintaining a very high level of professionalism. Each course was elegantly presented and was equally appealing in flavor. Combining local, high quality ingredients in some surprising ways the chef clearly takes pride in every dish that comes out of the kitchen. The slightly noisy environment was not enough to detract from this highly satisfying experience.
