Marley's is part of the Serge Group of restaurants on Hilton Head Island and so it maintains a level of quality you can count on. Very varied menu with a lot of seafood, meats and interesting salads too. Super service, very attentive. I prefer the incredibly rare done, Asian spiced tuna and my wife likes the Grouper best.
Enjoyed our evening at Marley's. Outside, are nice tables with bright red umbrellas and a musician singing over in the corner. I had coconut shrimp, each shrimp was huge! The sauce was just ok, in my opinion. My husband had the pork which was beautifully presented and perfectly prepared. Our friend had flat steak which was prepared just right and he indicated it was delicious. His wife had crab cakes which is a generous serving of two cakes, mash potatoes and fresh green beans. The portion was plenty generous and could easily been shared or halved. We were too full to try desert. I will mention, a famous person dined at the table next to us which added to our enjoyment of our nice meal. Some ratings have an average of 3.5* This is definately a 4-5* dining experience. Wonderfully attentive staff. Highly recommend.
Great food and atmosphere. High end but still fun.
Excellent service, gave us a great table in quiet area. Everyone loved their entrees.
The service was great - waiter was knowledgeable and accommodating. The food was just ok though. My mom asked for scallops with a crusty sear and they were pretty under-seared. My grilled grouper was so thick that the middle wasn’t cooked to my likeness. Overall, a family friendly place for dinner on vacation!
Food was great, staff very accommodating and prices very reasonable. Went back the next night!
The service was great! Impressive that the waitress in training was ALWAYS shadowed by an experienced server. The food was very tasty and we requested a quiet table and got one. The place was packed and lively. Overall, a very good experience,
Marley's continues to move up on our favorites list. Had a very pleasant dinner with 7 of us including 3 children, 2 in high chairs. Had a variety from their traditional port tenderloin with peanuts o seafood platters and a Supa Dupa Grouper. Everyone was happy with their meal. Service was great.
It was just “ok” but the fact that we were on vacation and this place had a fun atmosphere made it a little better. The calamari and shrimp appetizer was way too over-cooked leaving the rings either tough or nonexistent. I ordered steamed mussels as my meal. It was covered in a heavy marinara sauce which took away from the delicious broth I was looking forward when I ordered. My daughters ordered the Rasta Pasta which was really bland. It wasn’t bad but I expected much better based on the ratings.
This is our favorite restaurant since coming to the island. The atmosphere and food are incredible . The food is delicious and a must place to go too when on the island! Love Marleys!
Fun, last night of vacation spot with excellent food! Colourful presentation, everything tasted fresh and flavourful. Our only downside was a rather inattentive server- slow to see if we want a drink from the bar (we had to ask) and slow to see if we wanted another (had to ask again).
We had a great waiter and a fun time. The food was very good. I would recommend this for families.
Comfortable, laid back environment. Great service and excellent food at very good prices.
Went for my father’s 65th birthday. They gave him his favorite cake, pineapple upside down cake. Food was full of flavor. Great for kids.
Everything was wonderful!
Ray (very pleasant jamacian man) was our server. He was very polite, pleasant and took very good care of us. He answered all of our questions and was very knowledgeable about all of the items on the menu. He made some great suggestion and helped make our dining experience that much better. I'd ask for him!!! The food was delicious!! We started with the jerk chicken skewers. I had the flank steak with chimichurri and my wife had the stuffed shrimp. Very tasty!!!
Marley’s is a great place for casual
Dinner. It is especially kid friendly. Our waiter went above and beyond when it came to helping out with the kids. Noise level was also great for families.
Fantastic dinner! Love the jerk chicken and macadamia coconut shrimp! For dinner the scallops and soft shell craps were awesome and the Carolina Old Fashioned was amazing!
Constance took great care of us!
We always love to go to Marleys when we are in Hilton Head!! Looking forward to going back next year!
Wayne was our server and he made our night. We took our grandchildren to Marleys and the kids were tired. He lifted the mood of the children. He made the difference.
The food was great. We left a lot happier than when we got there. Wayne was exceptional.
Food was decent and service was good but the acoustics with the high ceilings was like a cafeteria in an all girls high school.
Great to return to Marleys. Really enjoyed our meal. Great service(literally the best on the Island....and I have been coming here for 20+ years) and we happened to stumble upon their early bird dinner specials.....great value + great selection........double bonus. The jerk chicken was out of this world. Great to support a non-national chain. Liked the fact that they do not overuse salt and oils. Sad to see the ice cream stand go, but definitely understand the move to a burger/shrimp outlet to capture the lunch and fast casual clientele. Keep up the good work
Friends visiting and we wanted to start dinner hour with margaritas. We really like Marley's margaritas, so that's where we decided to go. I also like that you can make a reservation there. We got there early and went to the bar for happy hour - receptionist at front said just to come back when we were ready for our table. We did that and were seated immediately. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Best of all, the food - as expected - was also very good. Three of us got mesquite grilled fish or scallops. One got a salad with shrimp. We asked for a substitution - no problem. Cleaned our plates. Thanks, Marley's!
Great food, reasonable prices. Early bird dinner was a bargain! We’ll be back.
We have had wonderful meals the last few times we visited Marley's; which is why this one was a bit disappointing. It was not crowded and there were a great number of staff around; however, our waitress was not very attentive (we did have a few other staff ask "how is everything") but our particular waitress seemed occupied chatting with other staff and didn't check for drink refills, etc. We took advantage of the early dining menu, and while both our seafood entrees were well prepared, and I enjoyed my salad, I found my side dishes bland and the vegetables under cooked. I've always enjoyed the preparation and seasonings here, but this time they failed to live up to prior experience. I'm hoping this was just a bad night, because Marley's has been one of our favorites on the island.
The restaurant was excellent. Able to get right in and get a set. Service was great and the food was excellent.
Great island restaurant with local flair. Good menu. Casual and great place to meet friends.
Food was a big disappointment. We were a party of 5 for a girls weekend. Pork was undercooked on one entree. Flank steak was very tough on another entree and not cooked to order. On the third of 5 entrees, the seafood trio, the breading was too heavy, with the flounder and shrimp not being fresh and definitely over cooked. I am a foodie, and I should have trusted my gut feel and left after entering the restaurant because of the strong fish odor. Even my 19 year old granddaughter said "Grandna, this is not going to be good."
Jeff our waiter was very attentive! Food was very good. Not crowded at all. I would come back again.
Very family friendly. Great service. Enjoyed our dinner!
Delicious sangria, but bland and uninspiring food
Quality service. Had the seafood trio. The breading - especially on the flounder could be thinner
Will definitely return. Lots of other great things on menu. Will try something else.
Wife had the broiled seafood trio. It was excellent
My meal was very good( seared tuna, very tender & flavorful); my wife's meal( salmon) was not so good( not thoroughly cooked) and was not finished by her; my wife's margarita was not very good( either the first or the 2nd time ). Both times they were too overwhelming citric and the grenadier could not be tasted at all. I would recommend this restaurant, but my spouse would not. The waiter did an outstanding job----very attentive and responsive!
Marley’s never disappoints. Their plates are nothing short of a masterpiece and their unique entrees are always made perfectly to boot!
We try to come here when we visit HHI. Restaurant was not busy the night we went. Very pleasant-waitress was good. Enjoyed the mesquite grilled lobster tail and grilled swordfish.
Lively, casual spot for a friends get together. Happy Hour and early dinner deals are worth a visit to this restaurant. Great seafood selections with a Caribbean flair. Excellent service and a fun atmosphere. We'll be back!
Emily was a terrific waitress and made excellent recommendations and was available without being pushy. Fun dinner, would definitely go back again.
Little too heavy on seasonings. Portions are generous.
Pleasantly surprised by the tropical feel. Lovely and well-trained waitress. Seated at time
of reservation. Food was delicious!
Marleys is by far our most favourite restaurant in the Hilton Head area. The food is always great, with an enjoyable atmosphere. My wife very much enjoy all of our visits, the staff is outstanding, friendly and very knowledgeable about the food.
