Had a reservation at 7:45, we were seated and by the time it was 8:27 the waiter passed us several times never checked in. We flagged people down and told them and we were told they would get someone and no one came. So we walked up to check in and told them and quickly replied sorry about and both of them returned to their side conversation. Like okay? This place has gone downhill and the food isn’t even that great. Service is trash.

The food is very consistent at Market Tavern and seems to be of high quality. Our server, Grace is the best, always happy to see us and gives us the very best service. Also, we had a new person that brought our food out (I am sorry I did not get her name) and she was just a delight.

Our meal was excellent…citrus beet salad with salmon, short ribs, sausage pizza, hibiscus drink, Apple dessert with butterscotch and flourless chocolate cake. The order was a little mixed up but in the end it didn’t matter. Pizza and other items cooked to perfection.

Eating with children in tow can be challenging, but after a small delay being seated it was amazingly fast. Our server was so nice, she got the kids’ order in with our drink order and it arrived swiftly. Everything was fast and the cocktails were so good. As was the food. Very enjoyable

Very busy night. Seated about 15 minutes late, not the end of the world. Busser brought water and said our server will be right with us. Almost 15 minutes later we were greeted and drink order was taken. We were close to getting up and leaving. I’ve had to do this before here unfortunately. Things were ok, just ok from there on out. Food has always been very good. Inconsistent service keeps us from coming here more often.

We had a very nice dinner for Mother’s Day. The food was excellent and the service was very good. The cocktails were also very good. The only thing I would’ve preferred differently is we were a party of four and we were seated in the back room where there were several large parties so the noise level was rather high. As a party of four adults I would’ve preferred to be seated in the main dining room. We had a reservation so I’m not sure why we were seated in the back room which I believe is reserved for mostly large parties. Other than that everything was great!

Overall the experience was nice due to the outstanding service. We had a problem w the beef stroganoff being oily and not too tasty. Also unripened avocado was served. The servers were quick to correct our issues and were super friendly about it so I will return but won’t get the stroganoff. Everything else was fine. It pays to have good customer service.

Treated very RUDELY by the people assigned to seat people. This is unacceptable behavior for employees. We wanted to leave but we were tired and hungry. Our wait person was just the opposite. Very pleasant and knowledgeable. What a mixed bag! We think we will think twice about returning here again. Sad, as we really liked this restaurant and frequented here regularly.

Always great service and great food. I had lunch soup special and green salad. Excellent salad with fresh produce. The dressing was just right, not too much or too little. Pork and bean soup was heady, tasty and perfect for my afternoon.

The food and drinks were unimpressive. The chicken pot pie I would never order again. My dining companion got the sirloin steak- it was fine. We ordered salads and the dressing was too thin. Given the hype around this place, I expected it to be better than below average. The best part of the experience was our server, they were attentive and friendly.

Prompt and courteous! Tavern was crowded but we were seated and waited on with efficiently. Menu options are wide open..Wood-smoked Octopus was a treat along with the Wedge Salad and Deviled Eggs . Great service and really an enjoyable experience. Thank you .

The quality of food has changed the last 6 months. The deviled eggs were not as good as they used to be. Yolk mixture was super dry and bland and jalapeños had no taste. Ribeye Steak was super thin on one side so half of it was med rare and the second half was well done. Braised greens and mashed potatoes were cold. The mac and cheese with jalapeño (No bacon- yea I know…weird) was layered, water at the bottom, melted cheese in the middle and dry noodles on top. The jalapeños tasted like cheap canned jalapeños. The Salmon dish and the fried asparagus were good. The Drinks were great. Service was mediocre. This was one of my top 3 places to eat in 2022 but has since dropped to top 15 with my past 2 experiences this year. I’ve never had a bad pizza here though.

I would leave zero stars if I could. The food is mediocre for the price and to make it even worse, the food came out really late. We waited for at least an hour to get our entrees. The food was awful! Anyone with more than a 1 star review was paid for sure. I’ll never recommend this place, save your hard earned money and go somewhere else.

I have dined here many times and have enjoyed everything from the Host to the Bartenders and most of the waiters. However, last night the host was very professional, the server/Bartender was very professional, the Busser was very prompt and energetic and friendly, but, our Server, Grace, was basically an order taker with absolutely no personality and very abrupt. She slapped the menus on the table and just left with no mention of anything dealing with the menu. We will be sure that the next time I come back that we will surely NOT ASK FOR GRACE!!!

We had a very average experience at Market Tavern. The chicken was very dry and the rice mixture was extremely mushy. I was delighted to see a new side for the chicken but the execution was sadly lacking. Our server did not seem to be very familiar with the menu changes. She also treated one of our party as if he was invisible. It was not our best dining experience at one of our favorite restaurants.

My husband had the Gordito pizza that was so delicious. I had the Mary’s 1/2 chicken that was cooked perfectly with mashed potatoes and yellow and purple cauliflower mixed with currants and slivered almonds. Absolutely delicious! For dessert we shared the almond apple tart with caramel gelato. Amazing! Being gluten free it was nice to have two dessert options on the menu. The other choice being the flourless chocolate torte.

So disappointed in the food preparation. Usually very good but today, just fair. We ordered a wedge salad. Looked and tasted just fair to uneatable (tomatoes and beets were a disaster). The plates looked different and smaller even though we order this most of the time we dine here. What's happening here??
